Chapter 35: Snow Phantom Manifestation
After dinner, the two went outside to the training area.
After creating the technique, Yu Tian really wanted to see it in action, so he had asked her to show him.
When the two reached the training area, Yu Tian stood on the side and she walked over to the middle.
She held her sword before her, remembering the method he had taught her.
She thought to herself that although the method looked much simpler than before, to the point of becoming a basic technique, the method was anything but basic.
She closed her eyes in concentration.
In her mind, she saw a swordsman in dark clothing draw his sword.
At the same time he drew his sword, her eyes snapped open and she did the same.
Yu Tian watched closely. The moment she drew her sword, it seemed as though something had shifted in the area.
Suddenly, snow began falling around her and mist began forming. In no time, her presence had vanished completely.
Yu Tian's eyes widened. He had made the method, but seeing it up close was something else.
Suddenly, he saw a snowflake fall before him. "Huh?" He extended his hand, noticing the snow beginning to fall around him.
At that moment, he felt a cold sensation on his back.
"You can stop now," he said.
The snow and mist instantly disappeared.
"What do you think?" Xueling asked, walking from behind him.
"Good. You're a fast learner. I didn't even notice when you moved," Yu Tian said.
He thought to himself that this method focused on both power and concealment. It erased one's presence and allowed them to sneak attack without being detected while also not sacrificing power.
"Do you think it could work against spiritual sense?" he asked her.
She held her chin. "Probably not," she said.
Yu Tian seemed to be deep in thought, but she quickly spoke up. "It's not that the technique is lacking. I just haven't studied it enough. I've just barely managed to understand the concept. If I can completely master it to perfection, even a Golden Core might not necessarily be able to detect me," she said with pride.
Yu Tian thought to himself that it made sense.
The progression of techniques was divided into beginner, minor success, intermediate, major success, completion, great completion, and finally, perfect. At the moment, with his help, she had just reached the minor success stage.
As she advanced, she would be able to draw out more and more power from the technique.
"Anyway, what are the names of these two?" Xueling asked, raising the two methods he had created.
He thought for a moment before deciding. "This will be called the 'Snow Phantom Manifestation' technique," he said, pointing at the sword technique.
Her face turned red. "Snow... that's...shouldn't you…" she began, but he dismissed her with a wave. "It's fine, it just works for you anyway," he said.
"Just for me?" she asked in surprise.
"That's right. Can't you feel how deeply it resonates with you? As if it was made just for you..." Yu Tian said.
Her eyes widened. That's right, when using it, it didn't feel like other methods. It felt like it knew her, as though it was just for her. So that's why she was able to learn it so easily.
"As for the scripture, just call it the Pure Chime Method," he said.
…
Yu Tian and Xueling were back in the house. They settled in a meditative posture and pressed their hands together.
"Just follow my lead," Yu Tian said, and she nodded.
He then began guiding her on how to circulate her qi, and she followed his every instruction.
In just a few circulations, they were both lost in cultivation and were only pulled out of it by the sounds of birds chirping in the morning.
They slowly opened their eyes.
"How are you feeling?" Yu Tian asked.
She looked at her hand, gathering energy. "It's incredible. I feel like I'm close to entering the third layer," she said in joy.
Yu Tian nodded. "Don't be hasty to breakthrough," he said.
"Of course, I'll wait for you to guide me," she said.
Yu Tian nodded at her understanding. He thought to himself that he was really impressed with this girl. He thought to himself that even with his help, she was improving way too quickly. She definitely had potential.
Seeing all this potential, instead of being jealous as someone without any potential, he felt surprisingly good and wanted to help her and see just how far she could go.
He held his chin, wondering if she really had a high-grade spiritual root. From the way she improved, she was definitely not just at the high grade. But after using his calculation ability, he could only conclude that she really only had a high-grade spiritual root.
"Then how come?" he wondered. "A special constitution maybe?" he wondered, and the number showed a hundred percent. "I see, that explains it," he thought.
There were all sorts of constitutions related to all sorts of cultivation ideologies. People with these constitutions would become incredibly talented in the field related to their constitution.
Xueling, on the other hand, was beginning to feel self-conscious. She looked at herself, wondering if she was dirty. Was there something on her face? Why was he staring at her that intently?
"Umm, I'll go prepare something for breakfast," she said before getting up quickly and running before he could respond.
She rushed straight into the bathroom, observing herself in the mirror. She wondered if something was on her face. Seeing nothing, she was relieved.
At that time, she began seeing ice forming on her.
It began with her hair, turning it into pointy crystals, then spread and covered her body, spreading even onto the bathroom.
She was frozen for a second.
Then she suddenly came to her senses. She looked around - the place was still the same. She looked in the mirror - she looked just like before. She held her head. "Am I seeing things?" she wondered.
"Ah, I need to hurry and prepare breakfast," she remembered and quickly ran out.

Xue can also sound like snow. I think. So naming the technique like that is like naming it after her. She felt he should do so after himself as the creator.
