Part-179
Summoning the last reserves of his strength, James pushed forward. Arad smirked, confident that James was weakening. But James had one last trick up his sleeve.
"Let’s see if you can handle this," James muttered under his breath, as he activated Bear Grip.
As Arad charged in for a final blow, James sidestepped, grabbing Arad's arm in a vice-like grip. With all the strength he could muster, James twisted, forcing Arad to his knees. The pain was evident on Arad's face as James's Bear Grip locked him down.
"You should’ve stayed down," James said coldly, his eyes locked on Arad’s. Though James said that, he was already in his knees.
As Arad stumbled back and fell to the ground, he glared at James, who was now on his knees, visibly drained from the intense battle. The strain of maintaining Crisis Mode and using Sloth View was taking a toll on him, making each breath feel laborious. His muscles felt like lead, and his vision was beginning to blur. Despite his exhaustion, James tried to push himself up, but his body refused to cooperate.
Arad, sensing victory, cracked a menacing grin as he prepared to deliver a powerful kick to James’s face. The anticipation of landing the final blow was palpable. Arad’s foot was already in motion, aiming for a decisive strike. Just as Arad’s kick was about to connect, a sudden intervention came from an unexpected source.
Dwip, who had been observing the fight from a distance, decided to act. Though primarily known as a hacker with a reputation for breaking into systems rather than physical confrontations, Dwip’s boxing skills were no less formidable. Standing at just 5 feet 2 inches, Dwip's stature belied his strength and agility. With a swift, precise movement, he landed a powerful punch on Arad, catching him off guard.
The impact of Dwip's punch was sharp and forceful, causing Arad to stumble sideways. The sudden distraction disrupted Arad's focus and sent him reeling, momentarily abandoning his attack on James. Dwip, though smaller in stature, used his agility and speed to his advantage. His boxing skills, honed through rigorous training, were evident in the accuracy and power of his strike.
Arad glared at Dwip with a mixture of surprise and anger, momentarily losing his composure. This gave James a brief window of opportunity to recover. Gasping for air,
Dwip eyed James with a mixture of irritation and amusement. "Look at what you’ve done," he said, his tone both incredulous and exasperated. "You called me here, and now I've wasted my energy. I hope you’re prepared to make it up to me for this."
James grinned, his expression unruffled. "We’ll make it right, don’t worry. But, honestly, I thought you'd join us from the start."
Dwip raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at his lips. "Actually, I was here from the beginning. But I was intrigued by the spectacle of your fight. I decided to watch the show unfold before stepping in."
James raised an eyebrow, then spat out a bit of blood from his mouth, the fight clearly taking its toll. "Well, if that’s the case, let's wrap this up and settle our business."
