The next morning Xiao Yan went straight towards the market. No one interrupted him due to his cultivation, unlike before. News of his arrival and his cultivation was spread everywhere. So even in market no one really bothered him. 

Initially he just observed, occasionally asking for cost of items that'd catch his eyes. He grasped the cost of various things in his possession. Though the medicinal ingredients were the costliest one's, he had no intentions to sell them. For two main reasons. One, because they were rare, and two, because he needed them later in his alchemy.

With that thought he decided to sell rank 3 monster cores in his possession. Because he needed rank 1 and 2 cores for his alchemy training; and currently had no use for rank 3 cores. Also if auctioned they'd fetch high price due to limited supply.

But before that he decided to buy that black metal piece. And sure enough as he continued to explore the market he soon had his eyes on the black metal piece. He had thought that maybe it wouldn't be here until few months later, but was lucky enough that things were going his way.

The Black Metal Piece seemed extremely old with many specks of rust and even a couple spots of dirt. It looked as if it had just been excavated.

"Hey, Yan Brat, buy the black metal piece, it's something good…"

Right when Xiao Yan was about to approach it, Yao Lao's voice sounded in his mind.

Listening to the voice inside his head, Xiao Yan blinked and secretly nodded.

Instead of immediately grabbing the black metal piece, Xiao Yan browsed some medicinal ingredients that could be used in tier 1 and tier 2 medicinal pills. After gathering roughly 2 sets which only contained auxiliary ingredients to concatenate 2 rank 1 pills, along with the black metal piece, he asked for the estimate price. 

"Haha, the eyes of young master are really good! These are all high quality medicinal ingredients. 600 gold coins would be a good price."

Xiao Yan pondered for a moment before taking out a rank 1 beast core from his ring. Mercenary's expression suddenly changed, seeing the rank 1 core. It wasn't high ranking, but was rare due to it's wind attribute. Magical beasts with wind attribute were rather hard to kill due to their speed, as they'd escape even if thee were badly injured.

"This is a monster core from a first level magic monster Gustwing Hawk. But rank 1 monster cores only go up to 450 gold coins." The mercenary said with a sly grin, trying to lower the price.

Xiao Yan knew it so he decisively said, "Wind attributed monster cores are rare. Even going up to 1000 gold coins in auction. In exchange for all these ingredients, it's not a loss for you at all. If you don't want, I can go to someone else." 

Just as Xiao Yan was about to leave, the mercenary stopped him, and eagerly exchanged the items with the monster core. Xiao Yan did not waste another moment and left immediately…

"Hah! Brat, to be so cautious in a mundane task of buying things!" The

elder's taunting voice sounded in Xiao Yan's head as he turned to leave the

shop.

"Those bastards are all swindlers, they'll immediately increase the price if you show interest in their wares. I don't want to lose money for something stupid like that…" After answering, Xiao Yan stopped paying attention to the Elder inside his ring and leisurely exited the market.

His next destination was Premier Auctions.

Premier Auctions: Wu Tan City's largest auction house and a branch of JiaMa empire's richest family, the Premier Family. The Premier family was extremely ancient and had been a quite powerful force in Jia Ma Empire for a couple of centuries already. Their networks were definitely impressive and some rumors even claimed that the Premier

family had close ties with Jia Ma Empire's royalty.

In the Empire, the Premier Family, Nalan Family, and Ritter Family are the

three largest families and have various connections in the commercial and

military world. Therefore, with the Premier family supporting it, no matter how enticing the profits of the auction were, no one would dare to try anything against them.
