Chapter 539: Chapter 539: Space Town

Chapter 539: Space Town

In a desolate desert in the northeastern region of Central Province, three figures silently appeared, distorting the space around them. Little Doctor Fairy squinted slightly, surveying the barren landscape before her. If Xiao Ze hadn't informed her beforehand, she would have never associated this desolate desert with the continent's highest-profile trading convention.

"Is this really where the Space Trading Convention is held?" Qing Lin curiously observed the desolate desert, a fleeting glint of emerald in her eyes revealing her realization. Despite the barrenness, where not even wild animals ventured close, her Bishan Tri-Flower Pupils detected numerous powerful presences, some even reaching the Half-Saint level. The seemingly mundane desert was, in reality, a den of hidden dragons and crouching tigers.

"The Space Trading Convention is indeed an exclusive gathering for top forces and powerhouses, and its quality is as renowned as they say," Little Doctor Fairy noted, sensing the concealed auras around them.

Xiao Ze nodded slightly. Initially, the Space Trading Convention didn't have a fixed location or organizer. However, with the need for a trading venue among top fighters and forces, the convention developed organically, eventually establishing rules and designated organizers.

The event wasn't hosted by a single individual or force but by three sects in Central Province, not particularly well-known: Earthwalk Sect, Sky Mystery School, and Treasure Appraisal Mountain. These sects had been chosen through dealings with countless powerful entities over the years, recognized for their shrewd insights.

Despite their low profile in Central Province, and unknown to many local powers, their strength was undeniable, comparable even to top forces like Burnflame Valley and Huazong. The vastness and depth of Central Province's power landscape meant that top forces couldn't be simply summarized with a catchy phrase.

These three sects hosting the Space Trading Convention were a testament to that complexity. After Xiao Ze became the chairman of the Pill Tower, various hidden forces had approached him for Ninth Grade Treasure Pills and even offered him a secret realm in the void, indicating the complex web of top-tier forces in Central Province.

Suddenly, Xiao Ze looked to the side. Several miles away, a figure broke through the void, speeding toward the heart of the desert. The fierce sandstorms that approached disintegrated several meters from him.

"A Half-Saint level powerhouse..." Qing Lin remarked somewhat wistfully. Such figures were rarely seen, yet here at the Space Trading Convention, another appeared so swiftly.

"This indeed shows the value of the Space Trading Convention, attracting even reclusive old monsters who bring out their treasures to exchange for materials that even they find tempting," Xiao Ze commented, then suggested to the others, "Let's head to Space Town quickly."

The trio sped through the desert, the violent sandstorms that could strip flesh from bone seemed mere spring breezes against them, causing no harm at all. In just moments, they crossed the barren desert to a steep dune where a massive space portal, a hundred feet across, slowly rotated.

A peculiar pulling force emanated from the portal. Figures approached from the distance and entered the portal one by one.

"For the Space Trading Convention, a space was specially created. Master Xiao Ze, I'm even more curious about this convention now," Qing Lin said, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

As they journeyed here, the participants and the specially created space itself underscored the convention's significance.

"Let's go, perhaps there's a poison scripture suitable for me," Little Doctor Fairy said, pulling Qing Lin along with a smile, speaking to Xiao Ze.

"There should be, after all, this is the highest-level convention on the Dou Qi Continent," Xiao Ze replied.

Together, they plunged into the space portal, a sweep of strange power brushing over them. It was merely a detection, which Xiao Ze easily misled with his cover, giving the detectors false information.

Stepping through the portal, their surroundings darkened momentarily before brightening again, with the clamor of voices echoing around. They found themselves in a small town under a grey sky, where the intense energy of space was palpable.

"This is Space Town. The Space Trading Convention hasn't started yet, so let's look around here first; the items are quite good," Xiao Ze said, withdrawing his gaze.

The trio walked the streets of the town where people bustled by. On the blue stone platforms lining the street, all sorts of rare items were displayed: scrolls, potion bottles, weapons, and even high-level magic cores.

Behind these platforms sat figures exuding long, deliberate auras, signaling to passersby their formidable nature.

Xiao Ze and his companions weren't particularly drawn to these displays of power. They casually browsed the rare items.

"Cloud Striding Steps, a high-level Earth-tier martial technique..." "Purple Qi Mysterious Star Art, a high-level Earth-tier cultivation method..." "Clear Thought Soul Shaping Pill, a peak Seventh Grade medicinal pill..."

Little Doctor Fairy and Qing Lin cataloged these rare items, which were hard to find even in Central Province's cities.

Xiao Ze's focus, however, wasn't on these items. He hadn't spotted the so-called Seven-Colored Primal Stone, which made him frown slightly.

"Maybe I arrived too early, and the seller with the Seven-Colored Primal Stone hasn't come yet?" he thought, then used the power of the Origin Tree, resonating with the branch representing the Seven-Colored Swallowing Python.

This resonance led Xiao Ze to another street, where he felt a familiar sensation—the Seven-Colored Primal Stone should be there.

Relieved to confirm the stone's presence, Xiao Ze continued to stroll with his companions towards its location.

The town wasn't large, and soon they arrived where Xiao Ze had sensed the stone. In view was a stone about half the size of a fist, glowing with seven colors and marked with distinctly clear lines. A strange energy emanated from it, unmistakably the Seven-Colored Primal Stone!
