After entering the auction house, Ye Chen took a glance around the spacious and elegantly decorated main hall.

Without pause, he headed directly toward a door on the side marked with three large golden characters:

Treasure Appraisal Room.

"If I'm right, the appraiser in Wutan City should still be that shameless old man, Gu Ni," he murmured, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips.

Thinking of reuniting with an old acquaintance after so many years, Ye Chen's mood lightened.

He pushed open the door.

The room inside was quiet and mostly empty, save for a middle-aged man seated near the center, idly flipping through some records.

Hearing the door creak open, the man looked up....and his eyes immediately fell on Ye Chen's fine brocade robes and noble bearing.

A practiced, courteous smile appeared on his face.

"Sir, are you here for a treasure appraisal?"

Ye Chen frowned slightly when he realized the man before him wasn't Gu Ni.

"Where's Gu Ni? Isn't he the appraiser here? Tell him to come see me."

Hearing Ye Chen refer to Master Gu Ni so casually by name, the middle-aged man's heart skipped a beat.

This wasn't someone he could afford to offend.

The young man's tone was calm, but there was unmistakable authority behind it.

Trying to remain composed, he asked respectfully, "May I ask who you are, sir?"

Ye Chen didn't bother with explanations. With a flick of his fingers, he summoned a green jade token from his storage ring and handed it over.

The token bore a lotus emblem...an unmistakable symbol of the Mittel Family's core bloodline.

The man's expression shifted the moment his eyes landed on it.

He returned the token immediately, his posture growing even more respectful.

"Please wait one moment, honored sir! I will inform Master Gu Ni at once!"

With that, the manager practically sprinted out of the room.

A few minutes later, he returned....this time bringing along a green-robed, gray-haired elder with a ruddy face and a trace of proud energy in his steps.

"Sir, this is Master Gu Ni, the chief appraiser of our auction house," the manager announced.

Ye Chen turned his gaze to the elder.

Gu Ni wore a long green robe that shimmered faintly with magical protection, likely enhanced with defensive enchantments.

His chest bore a small alchemist's insignia...a silver cauldron with two rippling waves, indicating his status as a Second-Rank Alchemist.

Though he was aged, his face retained a certain arrogance,an aura typical of all true alchemists.

Gu Ni eyed the young man before him with curiosity.

There was something familiar about him, but he couldn't quite place it.

"Who are you?" he asked, frowning slightly.

Ye Chen smiled faintly and said, "Master Gu Ni, it's been a while. I'm hurt you don't recognize me."

Hearing that familiar tone of voice, Gu Ni froze.

A flicker of realization flashed through his eyes, and a beat later, he exclaimed:

"Wait....you're… Master Ye Chen?!"

Ye Chen gave a small nod.

"Indeed. It's been a few years since we last met. I hope you've been well."

Gu Ni was stunned. He hadn't expected to see Ye Chen....now grown into a refined and powerful young man—here in a remote place like Wutan City.

"Why would someone like you appear here of all places?" Gu Ni asked, still surprised.

As he looked more closely, he noted how much Ye Chen had changed. His features had matured, his body was stronger, and he carried himself with the calm poise of a seasoned cultivator. No longer the boy he had once known, Ye Chen now had the presence of a rising star.

Suddenly, a teasing glint entered Gu Ni's eyes, and he chuckled knowingly.

"Ah, I get it now… You're here to see Miss Yafei, aren't you?"

Ye Chen's eye twitched slightly.

"This old man hasn't changed a bit," he thought, inwardly exasperated.

He knew exactly how Gu Ni's mind worked. Despite his title as a respected alchemist, he was a notoriously cheeky old rascal behind closed doors.

Years ago, when Ye Chen was just ten, this same old man had tried to drag him off to visit a brothel.

Fortunately, Ye Chen had strong willpower even then and rejected the idea without hesitation.

Thinking back, he couldn't help but feel thankful....if he'd fallen into that pit of indulgence, his body might have been ruined before it had a chance to awaken its true potential.

"I suppose if I had followed him back then, even the 'Many Sons, Many Blessings' system would've been useless," Ye Chen muttered internally.

Aloud, he said with a smirk, "Enough nonsense. Where is Sister Yafei? Take me to her."

Gu Ni chuckled, unbothered by the sudden shift in Ye Chen's tone.

"Miss Yafei should be in the conference hall right now. Come, I'll take you to her."

As they walked through the corridor, Gu Ni suddenly leaned in close and whispered with a grin:

"Master Ye, I recently refined a few powerful elixirs for stamina. Shall I give you a few? They're quite helpful for... young men with lovers."

Ye Chen paused mid-step, glancing sideways with disdain.

"Do I look like someone who needs that?" he said coldly. "This young master doesn't rely on tricks."

After all, ever since activating the Dragon-Elephant Physique, he had never needed such assistance.

If anything, Nalan Yanran was the one who had to beg for mercy.

> "Ugh…"

Gu Ni's expression froze. He gave a dry cough, his cheeks flushing red. Seeing Ye Chen's proud look, he sighed inwardly.

> "Ah… to be young again."

The old man lamented silently. These days, even with pills, he could barely last a minute.

He had truly overindulged in his youth and was now paying the price.

As they neared the main hall, Ye Chen casually said, "By the way, get ready.

You're coming with me to the Xiao family tomorrow."
