Chapter 11: Chapter 11: Heading to Wutan City**

**Chapter 11: Heading to Wutan City**

"Brother, it's still early. Why don't you sleep a little longer?"

The morning breeze swept through the sky as the first rays of sunlight appeared.

Nalan Yanran let her long black hair fall softly over her shoulders. Holding a comb in her delicate hand, she stood behind him, gently combing his hair, her expression both obedient and gentle.

"No need to sleep. If we leave early, I can come back sooner to accompany you."

Chen Feng smiled as he spoke. Suddenly, he turned around, wrapped his arms around her slender waist, picked her up, and placed her on his lap.

He just looked at her.

Nalan Yanran was momentarily stunned by his gaze. A blush crept up her fair cheeks as she whispered shyly, "Brother, what are you doing?"

"Nothing, just looking at you," Chen Feng replied softly, reaching out to pinch her delicate face.

His tone softened as he added, "I'll be leaving this time for a while, so you must take good care of yourself. Eat well, drink well, and stay healthy. If I return and find you've lost weight, I'll punish you severely."

Hearing his words, Nalan Yanran's heart tightened. She quickly touched her face and asked nervously, "Brother, am I fat now?"

Chen Feng chuckled. "Not fat. I mean, if you're too thin, you won't be comfortable to hold."

He placed a hand on her thigh, gently feeling its softness and elasticity. It was perfect—something he could never tire of.

Nalan Yanran sighed in relief and smiled happily. "As long as you like it, brother… as long as it makes you happy."

Chen Feng watched the youthful shyness on her face and couldn't help but think of her bold behavior from the previous night. His heart stirred.

"Yanran, about last night… where did you learn that?" he asked, leaning closer to her lips.

He was genuinely curious. She had seemed inexperienced at first but had become surprisingly skilled.

Nalan Yanran's ears turned red. After a pause, she lowered her head and replied shyly, "Brother, Senior Sister Hu gave me a book…"

Seeing Chen Feng's skeptical gaze, she hurriedly explained, "I just wanted to learn some basic knowledge. I was worried I wouldn't be able to take good care of our children in the future."

In truth, the book from Senior Sister Hu was no ordinary text. It was titled "Seventy-two Skills of the Boudoir".

Senior Sister Hu had said that mastering even a few of these unique techniques would ensure her senior brother's devotion.

Chen Feng frowned upon hearing the name "Senior Sister Hu." He recalled her as a bold and open-minded woman who had once propositioned him, only to be rejected outright.

"Stay away from her in the future," Chen Feng said sternly. "Don't let her influence you."

Nalan Yanran blinked in confusion. "Why? Brother, didn't you enjoy it?"

Chen Feng hesitated before replying, "No, I didn't."

Disheartened, Nalan Yanran pouted and murmured, "Alright, I won't learn anymore."

Chen Feng opened his mouth to speak but ultimately held back.

"Brother, I made some chicken soup. Please have some before you leave," Nalan Yanran said, rising from his lap. She had woken early to prepare it for him.

Chen Feng nodded. He loved her chicken soup, especially since it used cloud chicken, a rare delicacy from the Yunlan Sect.

After finishing the meal, Chen Feng prepared to leave. Nalan Yanran followed him to the courtyard, her eyes filled with reluctance.

"It's windy outside. You should go back now," Chen Feng said gently. "I've informed the family and arranged for my former personal maid to assist you. Take care of yourself, and don't lose weight, or else…"

He leaned in to whisper something in her ear, causing her to blush furiously.

"Brother, you're so mean!" she protested, punching his chest lightly with her pink fists.

Chen Feng laughed shamelessly. "Women love bad men."

After some playful banter, Chen Feng finally turned to leave. Nalan Yanran stood at the courtyard gate, her eyes misty as she watched him go.

Once outside the Yunlan Sect, Chen Feng headed straight to the Imperial Capital's Flying Transportation Department.

Wutan City was remote, and the journey from the imperial capital was long. Flying beasts were the only viable option for such a trip.

The transport fleet was composed of massive birds known as Thick-winged Birds. Though not magical beasts, they were prized for their endurance and carrying capacity. Trained by the empire, they could fly continuously for days with heavy loads.

After revealing his identity as a true disciple of the Yunlan Sect, Chen Feng boarded one of the birds. With a piercing cry, the beast took off, soaring rapidly toward Wutan City.

"Wutan City, here I come," Chen Feng murmured as the imperial capital faded into the distance.

Wutan City was in a remote area, requiring five days of travel from the imperial capital, even by flying beast.

Chen Feng, however, was not one to waste time.

Inside the modest cabin of the transport bird, a wooden bed was provided. Chen Feng sat cross-legged on it, took a third-level magic core from his storage ring, and began practicing the Yuan-Swallowing Technique. With the core in his palms, he activated the technique to absorb its energy.

Thanks to his status as a true disciple of the Yunlan Sect, the transportation company had arranged a private room for him, allowing him to practice without fear of interruption.

As the Yuan-Swallowing Technique activated, a devouring force emerged from Chen Feng's palms, enveloping the magic core. Strands of pure energy flowed into his body, coursing through his limbs and bones.

The five-day journey passed swiftly.

"We've arrived at Black Crystal City!"

The loud announcement from outside roused Chen Feng. Slowly opening his eyes, he felt the surge of fighting spirit within his body and smiled.

Through diligent practice and the potent effects of the Yuan-Swallowing Technique, Chen Feng had broken through to the Six-Star Dou Shi Master realm. He was now just a step away from becoming a Seven-Star Dou Shi.

Putting the depleted magic core aside, he ended his practice and moved to the window. Below, the outline of a massive city emerged.

Although Wutan City was his destination, it lacked an air transportation facility. Chen Feng had to disembark at Black Crystal City, one of the largest cities in the empire's northwest.

The city, bathed in the amber glow of the setting sun, was magnificent. Its towering walls, constructed entirely of black crystal, gleamed darkly. It was said these walls had once withstood the combined attack of two Dou Wang experts without yielding, a testament to their extraordinary strength.

The transport bird landed at the central station, and Chen Feng disembarked.

"It's getting late; I'll rest here for the night," he decided.

After five days without a proper bath, his usual cleanliness had been compromised—a situation he found intolerable. Moreover, as a true disciple of the Yunlan Sect leader, he couldn't meet the Xiao family in a disheveled state.

Following some inquiries, Chen Feng checked into Black Crystal City's largest hotel. After a luxurious bath and declining the hotel's "special services," he fell asleep.

The next morning, Chen Feng emerged dressed in resplendent brocade, his jade belt gleaming at his waist. His polished appearance turned heads on the street, particularly those of the maids and married women.

Chen Feng was strikingly handsome. His sword-like eyebrows and starry eyes exuded charisma, while his tall, slender figure and noble aura captivated onlookers. The admiration of the crowd, however, only elicited a shake of his head.

"Vulgar mortals," he muttered under his breath, unimpressed.

After arranging for a wildebeest-drawn carriage, Chen Feng began the final leg of his journey to Wutan City. Though Black Crystal City was the closest large city to his destination, it still took most of the day to reach Wutan.

As the city's outline came into view, Chen Feng sighed in relief.

"Finally."

Instead of heading straight to the Xiao family, Chen Feng decided to visit the Mittel Auction House first. It was already late in the day, and a formal meeting with the Xiao family would have to wait.

The Mittel Auction House was Wutan City's largest auction venue, managed by the influential Mittel family—one of the three great clans of the Gama Empire, alongside the Nalan and Mu families. Known for their immense wealth and intricate connections, the Mittel family even shared ties with the imperial family.

Chen Feng, being a direct descendant of the Mittel family, enjoyed unparalleled prestige. He was not only supported by the family's second elder but had also become a disciple of the Yunlan Sect's leader. Such a lineage made him a quintessential tall, rich, and handsome figure in the empire.

The Mittel family's branches spanned nearly every city in the empire, including remote towns like Wutan City. This extensive influence underscored their unparalleled power.

Still, Chen Feng chose to keep his visit low-key. Rather than alerting the Wutan branch to his arrival, he approached the auction house quietly.

As he neared the massive structure, a smile spread across his face.

"Sister Yafei," he thought, recalling the enchanting woman he hadn't seen in three years. The memory of her parting words brought warmth to his heart.

"If she knew I was in Wutan City, she'd probably be overjoyed," he mused.

Adjusting his attire, Chen Feng strode confidently toward the Mittel Auction House.

The guards, recognizing his noble bearing, allowed him entry without question.
