Bringing the MC system to Middle-earth

Chapter 120: Breaking the Shell

When the residents began to think about 'art', Levi had already returned to the castle early and packed up various things that might be needed.

Sword, pickaxe, axe, some food and materials, some property, potions, golden apples...

and the final resort TNT.

If Saruman turns black in advance, Levi doesn't mind being a naughty boy for a while.

With everything in order, Levi had a good sleep that day and got up full of energy.

Then something happened that refreshed him even more.

There is movement in the magma pool used to hatch dragon eggs.

Early in the morning, when Levi went to inspect the closed magma pool as usual, there was a sudden click and a small crack appeared on the eggshell.

Levi was so shocked that he immediately approached to check.

The light emitted by the magma penetrates the eggshell, vaguely illuminating the active and writhing creatures inside.

Looking at the struggling shadow inside, Levi had the urge to help it, but it stands to reason that oviparous animals should be able to break out of their shells on their own. Being able to break the shell means that its physique is qualified, which will be useful for the future. Survival in the outside world is more beneficial.

So this matter still has to be done by itself.

This shell lasted a day once it was broken, so Levi simply stayed here for a day.

Until the sound of eggshells falling off was heard.

A weak hissing sound came from the eggshell, and a small thing with a crystal clear body and two small wings crawled out of the shell, opened its wing membranes, and opened its eyes with difficulty.

When it began to receive information from the outside world with its eyes for the first time in its life, a dark figure stood in front of it, dissipating some of the heat around it, and uttered a syllable that it did not understand:

"Do you want to eat fish?"

[Young Fire Dragon 10/10]

The newly born little guy was very fragile. It crawled toward Levi's feet with unsteady steps, and after a moment, it slapped its entire body on Levi's boots, as if it must do this to feel at ease.

After adjusting the position, the little guy started to look up and around, looking at the world curiously with a pair of shining little eyes.

The secret chamber surrounded by dazzling red magma and pitch-black obsidian was the environment in which it was born, and it was all that it could see now.

Levi looked down at the little guy, recalling some information in his mind.

In Middle-earth, "dragons" are an unprecedented evil creature created and cultivated by Morgoth for war. Affected by the power of darkness, they are greedy and cunning by nature, and they are self-taught in deception. He is full of malice towards the world and has a great possessive desire for gold and various treasures.

Because of this, it can be said that their existence is a manifestation of "evil", which is not tolerated by order and kindness.

But this one…

Levi picked up the fire dragon lying on his boots and held it in the palm of his hand.

Charmander raised his head curiously and looked at the big face in front of him.

There was no malice in those little eyes, just novelty and a bit of just the right amount of confusion.

Different from Smaug's ferocious and sharp appearance, this little dragon looks crystal clear, and the color of its body is very soft, without any evil or cruelty that an evil dragon should have.

If it was really the kind of dragon created by Morgoth, then when it saw Levi, it didn't lie on his feet docilely, but it should have pounced on him and tried to bite and gnaw.

Maybe this is a dragon that has been purified by some kind of power.

Levi took out a piece of grilled fish and put it to its mouth. The little guy smelled it instinctively, then raised his head and looked at Levi, a little confused.

Levi opened his mouth.

It also learns to open its mouth.

Levi took out another grilled fish, chewed it, and swallowed it.

This time it understood, and immediately bit forward, bit by bit bit by bit at the piece of grilled fish in front of it.

When the fish meat fell into the stomach and one of the great desires of life was satisfied, the little fire dragon experienced the pleasure of swallowing and fullness for the first time, which was so intoxicating to the dragon.

Looking at the little dragon feasting, Levi took out a gold ingot and placed it next to it out of curiosity.

However, this guy didn't even look at it, he only focused on the fish in front of him. It wasn't until the whole fish was eaten, and its little belly was obviously much larger, that it burped and took the time to take a look at the gold ingot.

However, just after getting closer and smelling it, it lost interest, and then continued to raise its head and look at Levi.

Just so big-eyed and small-eyed.

broken.

Levi's heart skipped a beat.

This is learning from yourself.

It's okay to start raising dragons before you start raising children.

Levi took out another gold ingot and chewed it, and Charmander did the same.

After a while, a painful expression appeared on the little dragon's head.

From then on gold was detested by it.

This dragon walks, it does whatever it wants, without any ambiguity.

After putting away the gold, Levi took out two more cabbages, picked up one of them and started to crunch it.

The little guy approached another cabbage, smelled it, hesitated for a moment, and started to nibble it.

After a while, the cabbage was wiped out.

Sure, he really learns everything from himself, and the best thing is that he is not picky about food.

At the incubator, Levi started some basic mobile education.

The moon set and the sun rose. When it reached noon the next day, he held the fire dragon in one hand and walked out of the hatchery surrounded by obsidian.

The fire dragon saw the sun, grass, and other people for the first time. It was so surprised that it couldn't help but spread its wings and screamed twice.

The two childish cries immediately attracted the attention of several people around.

No matter when, in the roadside fort, the first thing people see is always the lord himself, and then the other things around him.

So the first reaction of the people around was to greet.

"Lord, good day."

When this sentence was spoken, the person suddenly noticed the creature in Levi's hand.

"Dragon... evil dragon!"

The residents' shouting obviously scared the little guy, and its neck, which was stretched out to look forward curiously, suddenly retracted and its body curled up.

However, the residents reacted more than the little guy. They almost jumped back as soon as they saw the young fire dragon. If it was not the dragon in the hands of their lord, I am afraid that someone would have picked up weapons and started to be alert.

"Don't panic."

Levi gently touched the dragon head and said to the residents:

"This is a relatively kind dragon I raised. Unlike the evil dragons in the north, it is pure in nature and does not have those bad habits."

"It has no interest in treasures and will not eat people. In fact, it prefers to eat grilled fish and cabbage."

As he spoke, Levi picked a leaf from the field next to him and handed it to the little guy in his hand.

The little guy was also very polite and started to chew it.

Eat...vegetarian dragons?

The residents opened their mouths wide, looking at each other, and it was difficult to say.

The dragons described in poems and legends are evil and powerful, eating people without spitting out bones, and can burn a city with a casual spit, and a flap of wings can be a hurricane that can overturn a carriage.

For thousands of years, evil dragons have been like this, although most people have never seen one.

Now seeing it with my own eyes is also an eye-opener.

After all, who would have thought that there are dragons in the world who love to eat cabbage.
