Chapter 1244: Bringing The Boss Of Plant Monsters
-----
"This should be our last stop," Olivia showed us a small meadow that led to what resembled a very dark and gloomy forest.
It was full of vines and sharp looking spikes, and the trees seemed old and dry, covered on these vines everywhere I saw.
"This place is the forest I talked about before," she said. "This would definitely be the last Monster Nest, so if you can complete this one then you've procured the safety of the city for the time being!"
"I can't believe we've done so much in the last hour, it's insane how fast we progress," Rita commented.
"You don't say, she's so fast! I mean, we're fast, we're like an invincible team or something," said Jenny. "Before we were pretty damn weak, but we've grown so much stronger it's unreal. It's nice."
"I wouldn't say we were damn weak before…" I sighed. "But the Nature Souls everyone got must have helped a lot at enhancing and strengthening everyone's elemental power."
"Nature Souls?" wondered Olivia. "Isn't that something only Druids get? H-How did you…?"
"We were helped by other Druids, friends of us, to do it," said Rita. "It was pretty damn easy I would say! And- Mgh?!"
I covered Rita's mouth before she was to continue talking her nonsense. It wasn't good to just reveal all our secrets like this, and we had no obligation of answering everything either!
"Rita, we promised to keep that a secret!" I said, reprimanding her. "I'm so sorry Olivia, but we can't say more than that."
"Oh no, it's fine, I was indeed maybe a tad bit too curious," she giggled. "But I see, so you're indeed friends with them. I had received some information, from the reports that Rose did to the association, about some Druids that were your followers or friends, or something like that."
"Is that so?" I wondered. "Well, they did fight at our side in the mall incident, and helped us a lot… And Rose was there so she saw them. And now recently they also helped us a lot and… Ah, well, we're still mourning two of them, it's complicated, I would prefer to not talk about them."
"O-Oh, yes, I did hear those news as well, I'm very sorry," said Olivia. "And you're right, let us not talk about such things for now. Although I'm still wondering how were you all able to get Nature Souls… I suppose it would be too rude to pursue this conversation any longer, my apologies."
"It's fine," Elena said, looking into the meadows. "So, what type of plant monsters are there, Olivia?"
"Hmm, from what I remember, Poisonous Vine Monsters, Carnivorous Palms, Missile Banana Trees, and Blood-Drinking Rose Vines," she said. "They're all well known and documented Monsters. They're also of the original monsters from our world, mixed with some that came from the other. They seem to be working together and created this large symbiotic forest."
"That sounds interesting… If not a bit ridiculous," said Anna. "Banana trees that shoot missiles?!"
"Not real missiles, but they shot their own banana fruits as missiles! They're actually very dangerous," said Olivia. "So I would recommend dealing with them from afar. These tree monsters were first documented over the Philippines, with many of the people that had Banana farms dying inexplicably, found… torn to shreds and burned by a small point-blank explosion."
"Wow that sounds pretty hardcore, what the hell…" Jenny said. "I kind of want to see those things now! However I bet you won't let me…"
"I wouldn't let you anyways," I laughed a bit. "Anyways, these things must be dealt professionally, unless we want to get blown away by missile bananas… The other plants don't sound nice at all either. Rose Vines that drink blood sound pretty horrifying!"
"You don't say…" nodded Rita. "Anyways, what do we do? Can't you manipulate them, Elayne?"
"I could try," I said. "But Plant Monsters are of a different realm than just plants or magic plants themselves, even spiritual plants aren't as hard either. But monsters are… well, monsters more than plants. While magic and spirit plants are first plants and then magical and spiritual, monster plants are first monsters and then plants.
It's like they're a monster in the shape of plants than vice-versa. Nonetheless, they're still intrinsically connected with Nature and can be manipulated if you have a monster plant at your side."
"Wait, a monster plant? But we got none here," said Rita. "Unless…? You can summon one?"
"Yeah!" I nodded. "Actually, I have an idea of what we could do instead… I'll summon a friend here, so I hope everyone can keep their calm and don't panic once he's here…"
"Wait, you're summoning a familiar?" Olivia wondered.
"Yes, it's a special spell…" I said.
I quickly conjured the spell as a magic circle emerged in front of me.
{Otherworldly Familiar Summon}!
Once I had obtained that spell at the beginning, it didn't work as I wished and it seemed to have some problems, I needed a deeper connection.
But once I obtained the Fusion Divine Skill about Beasts and Summons, it immediately improved upon this Spell and granted me the ability to actually summon Familiars!
FLUOSH!
The magic circle spun with many runes as it overflowed with Mana, the Mana quickly took the shape of a huge mass of vines, plants, and a huge rafflesia flower, all quickly merging together into the beautiful shape of a girl made of plants, with green skin and leaves and flowers as hair and clothes.
Her lower half wasn't legs but endless tentacles of vines, branches, flowers, grass, and more, there was even dirt over her body, btu she was indeed my summon.
"Shishishishi!"
And her cute laughter echoed, making me happy she was here…
"Loki! I was able to summon you!"
"Shiiii!"
Loki extended her vine arms and hugged me tightly, rubbing her cute face on my own.
"T-That's… An Alraune?!"
Olivia panicked, stepping back in utter disbelief.
"I can't believe it! T-This is the first time I see someone with an Alraune as a Familiar!"
I was going to ask my little Loki to deal with these plants.
They either join me and become part of my Domain or…
Well, they get eaten by her.
