Book of Da'at

Pacing in the clearing I realize using the energy of the egg would only be in an emergency situation otherwise it would put a massive target on my back, truly whoever made this cultivation technique was incredible but also dangerous because if they can do this then what other techniques do they know.

Shaking my head I decide it is best to move onto the second floor as he officially has merged his energy even if not in his own body it is still a merging, he is ready to advance.

He went to kill 10 goblins knowing the difficulty of the second-floor onward spikes and to get enough experience with fighting on this floor is the usual path, but he can only continue cultivating if he advances to the second floor as the book only gives the rest of the cultivation from the second floor on so remaining here simply means stagnation.

He arrives back at the starter village and immediately finishes the floor task, and with it he immediately disappears from the first floor and arrives on the second floor to a large city that is clean and pristine.

He knows he has arrived in a very stable and healthy spot with no problems meaning he can easily hunt and practice here in safety without worry about sudden goblin grouping or ambushes a great start to the second floor, now he only needs to set up a room here using the coins on him though there is only enough for a night it is all he needs as he will head out to practice and hunt tomorrow.

Hunting for the next week or two he is glad for how safe and easy the area is as he fears if not for that he would have been forced to use his energy from the egg as the goblins are definitely more powerful than him who lacks the normal enhancement that comes from forming a core due to it being made in the egg not himself, he has read the book and the next step is to pull the energy from the egg into himself and slowly build an identical core in himself and from there slowly gather 100 cores myself allowing me access to 100 cores despite only being at the apprentice stage.

Then once he has the 100 cores in him is to adjust his body to the 200 cores not the 100 but the 200 as he is to allow the energy of the egg to flow into him during this process.

He studies the pattern and looks at where it says to put the core and freeze, he is to put his core in his energy pathway not an organ or even a part of him like his bone or skin no, his literal energy pathway he lets his mana flow through how the hell would one even do that he thinks.

Pacing he thinks on it but realizes it in theory should be identical after all it is taking all the energy of the pathway and condensing it into a body part by sending it there, so he just needs to pull all the energy in the pathways in one place.

He calms his racing mind and decides to just try.

Sitting in a meditation pose he begins to sense his energy but realizes sensing his energy pathways is hard as he can't make a clear distinct shape even by following his energy and tracing the way it took, he can't find where his energy ends, and his body starts something he has never focused on before but now is clear.

He needs to figure out where his energy pathway actually is to be able to form a core in it, apparently the biggest problem isn't even the core itself but finding the part he is putting it in.

Soon he tries many things but no matter what he can't seem to see how the energy and his body differentiated as it appeared like one, but he is sure they are separate things so how does one sense them separately he wonders before looking through the book trying to see if there are any hints and he sees one saying that sometimes one must doing things very slowly to feel something correctly.

I try and slow my energy down but find it wants to run its course without me being able to stop it from going once it gets in my body; I need better mana control if I wish to do this.

One day becomes two than four and so on as I train and hunt to be able to practice uninterrupted in an inn and as the days pass, I see more people go to the next floor, but I felt no fear as I knew a solid foundation was the best so continued to be focussed purely on sensing my energy pathways.

I finally slow it down enough to feel it flow but if I am not careful and let it touch the edges of the walls that separate my body and energy pathways I will lose some control, and it will go back to its usual speed.

I am unsure how long I spent sensing my energy but soon I had the whole path traced out and could slowly run my energy through it two times before losing my grasp on it and causing it to return to its normal flow, His mana seems to flow over his body but he noticed it had a pattern like that of a figure 8 with the parts that overlap being over his heart, at his feet, his hands and his dantian area meaning he has 6 places he could choose to build the initial core as that is where the mana will naturally converge together.

He thinks and reads the book but already knows he won't use his hands or feet but is unsure for the other two of his dantian area or his heart, he reads and it speaks of how one must break away from normal thinking to succeed in this cultivation, for a fire user the heart is where most put their mana cores so the Daitan it is.

He begins trying to form the ever-familiar shape and with practice ease he forms a small core, but it breaks apart as soon as he turns away flowing through his energy pathways once more losing shape.

Looks like he needs more than just forming the shape for this to work, when put into a normal organ the energy doesn't want to flow but congregate making forming a core there simple, but the energy wants to flow with this way of doing it meaning I need a way to make the energy keep this shape even without my focus on it.

Groaning I realize I really am being pushed to think for myself on these steps though he hints in the pages it is still up to me to figure out some parts on my own.

Why not just tell me the steps clearly instead of inferencing some?

I try several things from stopping the energy in that shape, but it falls apart, to using the egg energy to hold it together while my own energy is in it, but the egg energy simply ate up my energy and flowed through me like normal mana.

I finally figure out something as I slowly force the egg energy into my pathways and they change shape slightly but the pain brought was nothing short of horrific but if I can form a small energy gathering spot in my pathways I can build a core in them, meaning the egg energy is to be used to form the core but also to change my pathways to facilitate the forming of a core.

I change my path to form a small opening that pools my energy in causing a small stagnation and hints of corruption energy but as soon as I try to form a core it slightly works but gets swept away eventually unable to remain completely still.

More and more I create a larger pool in my pathways to hold energy and finally a completely corrupted spot takes shape in my energy but as I form my core I can feel it stop and stabilize not moving even an inch, finally the first core is formed and I can feel a slight change in my energy as some enters then exits running through the core pattern before returning to its normal pathway.

I hear the ding congratulating me on advancing to apprentice level, meaning I am now advancing as most people do with cores in my body not just in the egg.
