Bloodmancer in the Jurassic Era: I use my Dinos to seduce Human mates

Chapter 26: Sad Dino

"I'm not sure yet. I don't want to ruin its legs." Nechi answered, referring to the Allosaurus Fragilis that was circling around them. "Look at all the meat its legs have. It would be a shame to waste them."

Jimmy was not a fan of the fact that she was worried more about the meat more than her friends. This was not the time to be greedy.

"Are you kidding?" He pressured her. "Break its damn leg before it eats us whole!"

Nechi heard his plea, but she didn't budge. She kept eyeballing the Allosaurus, and tried to calculate the most efficient way to attack.

The thing with her necrotic abilities was that she could never just destroy a tiny portion of the flesh. The attack was too powerful, so if she hit its knee, for example, she'd destroy most of its leg as a result. Hundreds of kilos of meat gone, just like that, and that's what she tried to avoid.

Since the Allosaurus Fragilis wasn't attacking yet, she used the opportunity to think the matter over a little longer. She didn't have to fight back just yet.

Jimmy almost shat himself as he watched the dinosaur circle them, and fairly so. Despite his special magic, he was the most vulnerable one here, and had to depend on his cousins to protect him. He did think about jerking up a distress bullet out of his penis, but the dinosaur might not wait long enough for him to finish. Then he'd be the guy who died while rubbing his shaft, so it was a bad idea. He couldn't use his most destructive weapon.

Anna was a bit more relaxed. She trusted her sister, for one thing, but she also had Dinosaur Strength, and had a spear on her hands. At the very least, she could land a nasty blow against the dinosaur, or even kill it, if she managed to pierce its skull, but she didn't want to step in just yet.

"Come on, fatty, work with me…" Nechi said, following the dinosaur around, from a distance, as its steps shook the ground below them. "Show me your feet."

Jimmy remained in panic-mode. Every second that passed was like a nail in his head. At some point, his ears started ringing too, which rapidly disoriented him.

"What's going on…" He mumbled, as he held his head, covering his ears. "Do you guys hear that?"

The ringing got stronger after every second, and at this point he feared that he was having a heart attack, or a stroke of sorts, but that was not it. He was still standing, for one thing, so he started to believe that this ringing was somehow related to his current, spiraling anxiety, or more simply put, the fear of being eaten by a giant lizard.

Jimmy then sat down, as he tried to lower his heart rate. The ringing in his ear only got worse, so he figured he'd rather try and calm himself down before it became unmanageable. He stopped looking at the dinosaur, because he started to believe that if it didn't kill him, this rapid ringing just might.

To his surprise, the ringing in his ear cleared up moments later. One would be happy about this, and Jimmy tried to be happy, but he had this gut feeling that the ringing wasn't supposed to go away so quickly.

Confused, he then looked to his friends for help, but they were busy. They figured that he was being cowardly again, so they didn't pay him much attention.

Jimmy then looked at the dinosaur, and the ringing came back stronger, nearly tearing his ear drums apart! He held his head, laid on the ground, and tried not to scream, as he didn't want to spook the dinosaur into attacking.

"Too quick, the ringing moves too quickly to be normal." He mumbled incoherently.

This was a puzzling situation, but he wasn't in the best state of mind right now, so he couldn't figure it out for the life of him. He was in too much pain.

This second attack of ringing in his ears lasted for fifteen gruesome seconds, and then it stopped. He finally was able to take a deep breath, and this time, he was smart enough to avoid looking at the dinosaur.

Jimmy was hoping that everything would be fine in the end, but his troubles didn't stop there. The ringing in his ears was replaced by these strong, loud heartbeats.

"Oh…" He groaned. "Okay?"

The heartbeats were loud, sure, but they weren't as deafening. He was alright.

Despite his common sense saying otherwise, he then stood up, and looked at the dinosaur again, expecting the worst. The sound of the heartbeat increased in volume when he looked at the dinosaur, and this made him very happy, this time around, because despite how stupid it was for him to look at the dinosaur seconds after deciding to avoid looking at it, he at least now got a hint of what was going on.

"Bastard!" He grunted, and walked towards it. "I've been hearing you…?"

"What are you doing, Jim?" Anna panicked, and went after him, grabbing him by the shoulder. "Are you insane?"

"I can hear its heartbeat, it's talking to me." He said, talking much like a madman. "It's not trying to kill us, it just wants to eat. Its leg is hurt, that's why it didn't charge at us. The risks were too high in its eyes."

Anna didn't care to hear what he said, so she started dragging him away from danger. She noticed that Jimmy was in some sort of a trance as he looked at the Allosaurus Fragilis. She has seen this trance-like state in his eyes before, but with a wild animal in front of them, she could predict the outcome. Dinosaurs, or Apex Predators in general, aren't easily prompted to cooperate.

"I think it's time we cut our losses," Anna said, pressuring her sister. "Kill it."

"No!" Jimmy exclaimed. "I got this!"

"The hell you do," Anna grunted, as she continued to muscle him away.

Unyielding, Jimmy then reached out one of his free arms, and pointed it towards the Allosaurus Fragilis. A wave of red, half-transparent smoke shot out of his hands, and floated towards the dinosaur at idle speeds.

The dinosaur didn't see this weird wave as a threat, so it even took a step forward, and tried to poke it with its snout. Smoke could not be touched, but the beast did get a good whiff.

Suddenly, the Allosaurus Fragilis started feeling different. It wasn't hungry anymore, as a start, and its leg was suddenly feeling better as well! Even the dinosaur understood that something weird was going on.

"Why isn't it dead yet, Jimmy?" Anna pressured him, as she had hoped this new ability of his was used for killing. "Don't tell me you healed the damn thing?"
