Chapter 786: -29- Bloodline Gift_2
Mortals cannot truly control Divine Power, the upper limit of Divine Grace Blessing is at most that of a Legendary Clergy.
But this Bloodline Gift is different.
Bloodline Gifts can affect one's Position, which means if Charlotte possessed enough Blood Divine Power, she could even create a Mythical being through the Bloodline Gift.
Furthermore, although Transcendents created through this ability consume a lot, they do not need to continually rely on the power of the Gods to use their transcendent abilities, as Clergy do.
In other words, there is no "maintenance cost."
Additionally, this ability can also be combined with the Bloodline's bloodline powers.
Charlotte herself could enhance the strength of the Bloodline by bestowing Bloodline Power but previously, Charlotte's method was simply and crudely offering her own blood.
Now it was different.
Charlotte no longer needed to draw blood; the Blood Divine Power alone was sufficient.
This made it possible to greatly enhance the overall strength of the Bloodline on a large scale, especially now that she had subjugated the Harcos Clan.
Of course, the consumption of Blood Divine Power would definitely be substantial, but it was much simpler and safer than drawing her own blood.
This new ability also led Charlotte to some other associations:
"Directly enhancing the Position of life... Could it be that the origin of Blood Divine Power truly is the Creation Power?"
The Blood Holy Scripture held a great secret, and this secret was very likely related to the power of creation.
Now, with Blood Divine Power having such miraculous power, it was hard for Charlotte not to make some associations.
"Creation Power, Creator God, and the Elf Clan's creation myths... What connections do they have to each other, are they related to the destruction of the Old Continent three thousand years ago, and are they related to Lilith's madness, disappearance? Or… to the disappearance of the Stargazer Cosy, and the fall of Royena?"
"The two eerie stone doors in the depths of my consciousness, the white mist behind them, could it also be related to the power of creation?"
Charlotte fell into contemplation.
She had a vague feeling that if she could figure out the relationship between the three, she might unravel many of her doubts, and perhaps even find out what exactly happened to Lilith, and to several princes of the Bloodline.
"Perhaps, if there's a chance, I could explore the Old Continent like Lilith once did," Charlotte murmured to herself.
But quickly, she shook her head:
"No, it's better to put aside thoughts of going to the Old Continent for now, if Lilith's madness were truly related to Creation Power, and to the Old Continent, then going there would just be seeking death."
"What's most important right now, is to continue to enhance my strength. Only by increasing my strength, can I face any potential crises in the future."
"The development of the Dark Night Church is on the right track, but to enhance my strength through the Church still requires time. I am of the Bloodline, and can be considered a Blood True Ancestor in the truest sense. If I want to enhance my strength quickly, besides continuing to search for the Faceless Divine Statue for fusion, perhaps it is necessary to consume the power of other myths..."
"At the moment, the Gods of Mireya are still slumbering, and it's not easy to find other myths. If I want to enhance my strength quickly through this method, the best way might still be to rely on my 'Time-Space Travel.'"
"To travel to the past, and then... seize the power of the Old Gods!"
Charlotte murmured to herself.
Seizing the power of the Old Gods was an idea she had had for a long time.
In fact, if she had not awoken too quickly during the last Crossing, she would have directly devoured the God of Hatred and Deformation.
In the past, Charlotte wasn't sure about the relationship between history and reality, nor did she know if traversing the past to absorb the powers of other gods actually had an effect.
But now, she had uncovered the secret of history and reality and had formed a vague idea in her mind.
"History can be created. In various scriptures and texts, I have never seen a description of the outcome of the Mireya Old Gods. So... can I also consider that when I travel back in time, this piece of history is also mine to write freely?"
"Perhaps I could give it a try. If everything really is as I suspect, then maybe... the history of Mireya could become my hunting ground for rapidly increasing my strength, even ascending to a True God!"
"Of course, the premise is that this part of history has indeed ceased to exist. When I return to Falling Star, I might mobilize all the powers at my disposal to collect scriptures... about that mythical period of history."
"The Bloodline is one of the oldest races left from the Mythical Era. If there are no records of this in the historical texts of the Bloodline, then it's very possible that this particular period of history has truly become a blank slate."
"And this... would present me with an opportunity to intervene!"
...
After integrating the faith of the Free Tribe Alliance and reclaiming their Faceless Divine Statues, Charlotte planned to return to Falling Star.
She had achieved her goals in the Northern Territory and there was no need to stay any longer.
However, before leaving, she specifically commissioned the Great Prophet Margo of the Harcos Clan and Duke Robin, the Great Elder of the Nais Clan, with an oracle – to collect and organize all materials related to the Mythical Era recorded by their clans.
As for the Freedom Alliance Tribe... the migration still needed to happen.
Charlotte had observed their living conditions in the valley, which were quite harsh, with a tendency to worsen over time.
Charlotte didn't know if this was one of the signs of Holy Presence Day, which indicated increasingly frequent outbreaks of the Demon Beast Tide, but one thing she was certain of was that the magic power levels of the Mireya Continent had indeed been gradually rising during the two and a half years since her arrival.
Charlotte surmised that this could very well be a precursor to the resurgence of the gods since one of the reasons they chose to slumber was the decline in the magic power density of the Mireya Continent, insufficient to sustain the free activity of gods.
All things considered, it would be better to relocate the Freedom Alliance Tribe to a safe place.
As for the location of the migration, Charlotte had also chosen – the northern coast of the Falling Star Kingdom.
The area was sparsely populated and much of it was still undeveloped, more than enough to accommodate a few hundred thousand residents from the North.
The migration of hundreds of thousands of people was a huge project and considering the significant consumption of just supplies and ships, Charlotte decided to leave the matter to the official administration of the Falling Star Kingdom.
The person leading the effort would be one of the legends of the Falling Star Kingdom, the Legendary Sword Saint Duke Gael, who guarded the northern coast.
Charlotte chose him for a reason; during her previous review of Falling Star's documents, she had seen the Duke advising the Royal Family on numerous occasions to migrate populations from the central and southern parts of the kingdom to develop the north.
The few hundred thousand people from the Freedom Alliance Tribe would fit this need perfectly.
After arranging everything, Charlotte returned to the Falling Star Kingdom.
She was accompanied by Sebastian, whose strength had greatly increased.
...
Meanwhile, thousands of miles away in the Coria Kingdom.
In a resplendent palace, a black-haired girl kneeling in front of a Divine Statue slowly opened her eyes.
Behind her, a Bloodline member clad in a black robe knelt on one knee with utmost respect:
"Saintess, we have clarified everything."
"The Crimson Flame Blade Sebastian has indeed left the New Moon Kingdom and pledged allegiance to the new Queen of Falling Star. He has become a follower of the wild Saintess – Charlotte de Castel of the Holy Royal Court."
