Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel

Chapter 684: -132- Approval (Two in One)

Seeing Charlotte and Count Stafford so insistent, Marquis Howard wanted to speak but stopped himself.

But in the end, he nodded his head and gave a slight bow to Charlotte:

"I shall obey... your command."

He waved his hand to the nobles who had come to greet them, and they all stepped aside, revealing the carriage that had been prepared in advance.

Charlotte glanced at the royal carriage adorned with the Roman Family Emblem and then boarded it with poise.

"To the Royal Palace."

She ordered.

The carriage moved slowly, forming an impressive procession with the escort of nobles and soldiers, heading to the heart of Falling Star City—the Red Palace.

...

The Red Palace was located in the northern part of Falling Star City, about thirty minutes' journey from the docks.

When the grand procession escorting Charlotte arrived at the gates of the Royal Palace, it was clear that the Royal Knight Order guarding the palace had been informed in advance.

Fully armored soldiers stood in front of the palace gates, their ranks orderly, blocking the firmly shut doors.

The road to the palace was blocked, and the grand cavalcade was forced to halt.

Count Stafford's face darkened.

He looked at the Royal Knights blocking the Red Palace entrance and shouted:

"Her Majesty the Queen has arrived; why do you block the way? Stand aside at once!"

Some of the knights clearly recognized Count Stafford's identity.

They hesitated, appearing uncertain, but soon, a high-tier officer among them spoke:

"Hold formation! Do not falter!"

Then, a soldier wearing a red cloak, and armor more elaborate than other knights, stepped out from the ranks.

He came to the front of the group, gave a bow to Count Stafford and Marquis Howard, and then said sternly:

"Lord Chairman, Marquis, the Group Leader has ordered that until the new King is officially crowned, no claimant to the throne may enter the Red Palace. The Red Palace is a symbol of the Falling Star Royal Family, and only the true King is entitled to enter."

"How dare you! As a member of the Knight Order, don't you realize what my standing here represents? I am here by the former King's decree to welcome Her Majesty Charlotte de Castel back to Falling Star. Stand aside at once!"

Count Stafford barked.

With that, he released his Transcendent Aura, the imposing might of the Blazing Sun pressing down on the Kingdom Knights.

The Transcendent Aura, far more powerful than the knights, diffused, attempting to force the knights to clear the path; however, the Kingdom Knights, whose average strength did not reach that of the Silver Moon, did not budge.

The inscriptions on their armor lit up one by one, emitting a pale red glow. The glow quickly interconnected, enveloping all of the knights within.

It was a Magic Energy Formation.

At that moment, the Royal Knight Order startlingly deployed the Transcendent Army's Solidification Magic Magic Energy Formation!

Count Stafford felt as if his Transcendent Power had collided with an invisible wall of air, unbreakable.

Feeling the unified breath of the knights and the Transcendent Power beneath the pale red glow, which even he found somewhat terrifying, Count Stafford grew even more enraged:

"Insolence! You dare to deploy a Magic Energy Formation in front of Her Majesty, is the Knight Order planning to rebel?!"

Faced with Count Stafford's fury, the knights who had deployed the Magic Energy Formation remained expressionless, and the leading high-tier officer, still with a stern face, said in a deep voice:

"Lord Chairman, the Knight Order is merely following protocol. With the throne now vacant, we only heed the orders of our Group Leader. The Group Leader has commanded us to defend the Red Palace, and our duty is to guard it and prevent anyone from entering."

"After all... the Red Palace is not just the palace, it is also the magical nexus of Falling Star City. As I said before, until the new King is decided, no one may enter the Red Palace."

Looking at the unwavering attitude of the Knight Order officer, not only Count Stafford but also the other nobles who had accompanied the royal carriage to this point grew increasingly angry:

"Insolence! Her Majesty the Queen is the chosen wielder of the Roman Sword, the heaven-ordained heir to the throne. Move aside at once!"

"Open your eyes and look! Even the Campbell Grand Priest has come, don't you understand what you're doing?!"

"Treason! This is treason! Stand aside at once!"

Perhaps bolstered by the presence of Stafford and Charlotte as their pivots, along with the indeed numerous nobles surrounding the carriage, the nobles found some backbone against the fully armed Royal Knights and loudly rebuked them.

Seeing the agitated nobles, the high-tier officer frowned and then made a gesture with his hand.

Seeing his motion, the Royal Knights all drew their weapons.

The pale red glow enveloping the knightly formation expanded further, and a cold, deadly aura pressed down on the nobles from the center of the formation.

Feeling the terrifying presence, the momentum of the nobles stalled, and they instinctively stepped back.

Watching the knights leverage the Magic Energy Formation to push back the crowd, Count Stafford grew even more furious:

"What are you doing? What are you trying to accomplish? Are you really plotting treason?!"

"Count, step back."

A calm and pleasant voice came from inside the carriage.

Hearing this voice, the anger on Count Stafford's face instantly subsided.

He gave the knights a cold glare and then moved to the side of the carriage, his posture respectful:

"Your Majesty..."
