Blood Holy Scripture: True Ancestor Charlotte de Castel

Chapter 122: The Fall of a Demigod, the Rise of a True God (Part 2)

Yet she still felt an emptiness in her heart, as if she had lost something, forgotten something.

She exhaled softly and said:

"All of you... step back for now."

Seeing Charlotte's lack of enthusiasm, the clergy wisely withdrew.

Only the Guardian's Staff remained.

"True Ancestor, Your Majesty, you seem to have something on your mind?"

It asked.

Charlotte glanced at it, about to respond, but suddenly a thought surfaced in her mind:

Haral is not to be trusted!

Be wary of Him and His followers!

Charlotte paused slightly.

She did not understand why she suddenly had this thought, but an intuitive self-awareness whispered to her that this was a heartfelt warning.

"Who?"

Charlotte looked around with uncertainty.

But she got no response, as if the thought was meant to emerge in her mind.

Charlotte lightly pressed her lips together.

Once the seed of doubt is sown, it will blossom and bear fruit, hard to dispel.

Charlotte did not know why she had such a thought, but when she again looked at the Guardian's Staff, she instinctively felt more vigilant.

The Guardian's Staff was very loyal.

The Guardian's Staff had always been helping her.

But even Charlotte had to admit, the Guardian's Staff indeed harbored secrets unknown to her.

With this realization, she paused and said:

"Nothing, I just want to be alone for a while, to feel the newly... reacquired power."

The Guardian's Staff was silent for a moment before retiring respectfully.

Watching the figure leave, Charlotte withdrew her gaze.

She had not deceived the Guardian's Staff.

Her feelings were indeed mixed, and she truly wanted to change her mood and feel her newfound powers after God Ascension.

With this thought, Charlotte temporarily cast aside her chaotic thoughts and gently closed her eyes.

The enhancement in power after condensing the Divine Position and ascending to True God was remarkable.

Just by closing her eyes to sense, Charlotte could clearly feel her transformation.

Under her perception, the surrounding world had never been so clear, and her senses had never been so sharp.

Whether it was the breath of mortals hiding in some corner of the Holy City, or conversations of Dark Night believers thousands of miles away in the Falling Star Kingdom, she could hear it all distinctly.

A vast influx of information constantly poured into her mind; wherever her gaze reached, wherever faith went, all was within Charlotte's perception.

And those mentioning "Dark Night," "True Ancestor," "Falling Star Queen" or "Charlotte de Castel" and even "Saintess," could clearly have their scenes and voices imprinted into her Divine Soul.

Any spoken word would be known.

If as a Demigod this ability was a vague, somewhat limited semi-passive perception, then now... anyone mentioning Charlotte's name, powers, divine name, or titles could be precisely pinpointed by her.

Not just location, but even basic information about the speaker.

And if Charlotte wished, related past experiences or blurred personal destinies could flash through her Divine Soul like film clips.

All this was within Charlotte's thought.

This was True God.

Every moment, every second, True God received massive information from the entire world.

Such continuous and extensive information, far beyond what a Demigod could bear, only True Gods with "Divine Position" could achieve.

"Divine Position," like a supercomputer installed within a True God.

Through the operation of the Divine Position, a mere thought of a True God could know distant beings sensed by Him.

If a demigod needed the target to earnestly pray or be a devout believer or one selected as Divine Favored...

Then for True Gods, as long as they wished, they could easily understand the actions of every believer or anyone touched by the True God's power or aura.

And more.

For deities who created faith, possessing "Divine Position" means thoroughly becoming the center of faith.

If a demigod had to rely on Divine Artifact or Divine Statue as the core of the faith network, then the True God's existence was, itself, living faith.

No.

More accurately, faith itself was an overflow and permeation of the True God's power.

Only by becoming a True God can one truly understand what being a True God means.

Faith... emerges as the True God spills over His power; it's a way akin to "herding" for deities to grow their strength.

And meanwhile, Charlotte could feel a stronger connection with the entire world.

Of course, more accurately, her connection with the world's "Extraordinary Power" grew stronger.

She could feel the surrounding magic power's "awe" toward her.

Magic power has no consciousness, nor life, but she could feel that kind of "awe," or better yet... "submission."

As long as she wished, all Extraordinary Power sensed by her could be mobilized, forming her Divine Domain.

Charlotte could feel her absolute power had greatly increased compared to her demigod times.

If placed in the historical crossing era and Mireya World's high magic intensity, which could directly bear True God power, her combat strength might easily suppress demigods.
