Blood Awakening: The Strongest Hybrid and His Vampire Bride

Chapter 394: A New Member - Into Drevnos

After the chaos ended, the city and SSS worked to deal with the situation. Nikolai didn't care how they dealt with the problem, but the news only spoke of sinkholes and gas leaks. The biggest issue was that Brian ended up suffering a severe wound, and Alexei almost lost his life.

"I'm telling you Niko, those mutants suddenly changed as if their lives were on the line."

Alexei sat opposite Nikolai after coming to the mansion.

They would leave for Drevnos tomorrow morning, taking an unmarked car and trying to infiltrate House Everen.

"I wouldn't know I was fighting this huge thing underground, haha."

"Well, that guy your friend... Brian was it? I didn't know he came to my gym often, but he's a true man who helped me out even if it meant getting wounded."

"Yeah... he's a good man."

Alexei was a little different to usual, but Nikolai couldn't quite put his fingers on what might have caused it.

"Tomorrow, we go there, huh?"

Nikolai spoke and took out a pair of small black devices... they looked like black sticks.

"What're those?"

"Maps."

The moment he flicked one of them, a neon panel extended and created a detailed map of Drevnos, then, when Nikolai tapped a particular spot, it zoomed in, and a full rundown of House Everen's estate appeared.

- The guard patterns

- Where their security guns were installed.

- Movement of staff and family in real time.

- An interactive path led to the basement and another location.

"This is what my grandfathers subordinate created, it's for the mission a map and guide in one should we get seperated or something goes wrong." Nikolai tossed the second map across the room as Alexei caught it, activating the movement.

"Damn this is cool, like a spy movie."

Nikolai was never into this, so he only shrugged in response. The two men went through the plan several times, ensuring they were well-rested for the morning.

"When is that guy coming?" Alexei's eyes narrowed. "Can we really trust him?"

Knowing about the truth, Alexei wasn't like Nikolai, who could believe in the man's honour and nobility. The fact her betrayed him once was enough to flick the bullshit switches in the vampires head.

"He arrived a few moments ago, use the map."

Nikolai had faith in him, even if Alexei didn't.

He wore a black suit, with his hair slicked back and a pair of dark sunglasses covering his eyes, and in his hands were two huge bags filled with items, stun grenades, guns, batons, blades, and explosives to clear doors. It was clear Alaric wasn't here to play or half measure it and let the two younger wolves get in trouble and danger.

"Young Patriarch, here are the items you asked me to prepare and some extra."

Alexei clicked his tongue, it was obvious he didn't like the fact they needed help, the truth but also the fact Nikolai trusted this man who was once an enemy.

At least that's what Alexei thought, but when facing Alaric, Nikolai's eyes were empty, the smile on his lips didn't reach them and neither did his warm greeting.

"Alaric, what do you mean extra?"

There were far more items than expected. Alaric didn't look away or flinch from Alexei's intense stare.

Nikolai's anger wasn't about him bringing more items, but WHAT he brought.

Silver bullets...

Nikolai couldn't forget these bullets, the new type of ammunition the SSS developed to fight and capture Supernaturals. Though with his pure evil god's blood, they wouldn't affect him any more.

'Well I shouldn't let people know my changes.'

He didn't even tell his wives that his Vampire and Werewolf bloodlines were now subordinate to the Evil God's power.

So even if the Silver bullets deactivated his Vermillion Essence or Celestial Aura, the Obsidian Tide wouldn't be affected; if anything, it would become stronger, devouring the other two bloodlines to help them recover.

"I see, but how did you get so many Silver rounds?"

Alexei's pupils shrank when hearing Nikolai mention the rounds; he knew how much his little brother suffered because of them and understood their danger.

The fact that humans developed something so divisive made him nervous about the mission.

"The humans are still developing weapons and technology that can suppress and detain any and all supernaturals, even a Vampire Lord or Patriarch, we aren't the apex races anymore."

"So you plan to have us use their weapons, to deal with our own kind?" Nikolai nodded, it made things easier but the threat of the SSS might now be more dangerous than the Nosferatu.

At least they could fight against Alucard.

Normal monsters would be killed or captured without ease by the silver shells.

"Indeed, well this is a lot, but it's enough for the mission I'm sure."

The bags were taken by Leona, who stood beside Nikolai and would load them into the car.

Alaric narrowed his eyes at Leona, obviously it might be seen as an insult for a failure to serve the Patriarch, but when he switched gaze to Nikolai, the old man just let out a sigh and shrugged.

"I should get back soon."

Nikolai waved him off, but Alexei was different, and so he followed Alaric after they left.

"Oi old dog, wait for me."

Alexei's voice thundered through the mansion, but Nikolai didn't mind; he understood Alexei's doubts.

"If a dog can bite it's master, then it should be put down. Right, Granfather?"

Meanwhile, in the gathering room where Nikolai's wives usually spent their time together, Leona found herself there after being called by Kumiko while loading the car with the items.

"Well..."

She entered while swallowing her breath, expecting to be scolded, hit and tossed out of the mansion, but she wouldn't let him go without a fight, at least she told herself.

The door opened, and Leona stepped inside, closing her eyes and waiting for the berating voices and anger.

A moment passed.

Then another.

Finally, a voice broke the silence. "Open your eyes, it's rude to react this way, Leona." Selene's voice was gentle and slightly prickly, but she didn't shout or say anything negative.

"Y-Young Mistress!? Forgive me!"

"STOP!" Sitting on a big, fluffy chair, Nikita spread her arms and shouted. "You aren't here to serve us! Things are different now, so don't be so boring!" Her wild little grin confused Leona.

"The idiot wolf is right, welcome Leona... congratulations on winning that fools heart."

Risa wore a tight training outfit, and her hair appeared slightly wet from the shower.

Leona was completely bewildered; it was as if they were already expecting her and even accepted her as a new family member.

"Is this? Really okay...?" She asked them, and the room filled with charming and amused smiles.

"Of course it is, although he looks like a dog that can't keep his cock in his pants, Nikolai doesn't touch anyone without sincerely caring about them."

Selene shrugged, tilting her head with a smile. "Although it's irritating that he has a touch too much sexual energy, what can we do? Hating or pushing you away would just waste our time."

Selene's words made Leona feel more comfortable, but Nikita's sudden shout of joy and tackle completely melted the ice.

"Who cares? It's more people to join in for our game night, and the more women we have... Now that bastard can't use his strength to win, united we will pin that guy down and make him cum over and over for once!"

Her eyes sparkled as she clenched her fist, taking a victory pose.

"Ahem, forgive Nikita... she holds a grudge for what Nikolai did to her the other night." Kumiko's calm clone offered Leona a tray of cookies, and Leona's main body lay on a sofa with her tails fluttering in the air.

None of Nikolai's women were like Leona imagined.

"Well, you actually did it?" Amphitrite spoke last.

Leona remembered her words, and part of her reason for making a move was this beautiful mermaid.

"Ah... that's..." Nervous and worried she might be the one who got angry, the mermaid's bright face suddenly beamed at Leona.

"I never thought you'd achieve it so fast. Well done, you are officially a part of our chaotic little harem."

Amphitrite clapped, and all the girls followed her action, even Risa, who smirked at the new addition, but Leona could tell it wasn't hostile, but instead this was the hidden side of the young women she and the other maids served in the past.

The only one who seemed unhappy was Lunaria.

She watched with dull silver eyes from the balcony and felt melancholy as she sipped on wine, avoiding Leona the entire night.

"Why..."

Frustrated, because he touched all the women, even a newcomer, Lunaria, still waited. Doubts started to creep into her mind, dark tendrils that spread faster than she could quell them, leaving her in a negative mood.

"Damn it!" She clenched the balcony railing so tightly her hands turned white.

She was supposed to be Nikolai's first love. Had she been more aggressive the night she became a Luna... would he still have avoided her like this?

After the mission, she must speak to him...

Lunaria's gaze on the newcomer and the other women remained hostile.
