Blind traveler: Starting In Naruto

Grabbing his skull, Minato grunted in pain as Naruto looked at the scene worried.

"Your brain is just getting use to your new body, i created an exact replica of your natural body... or atleast i thought i did..." looking at the black eyes of Minato, Chiba couldnt help but think they look strikingly similar to an Uchiha's eyes!

"New body? What are you talking about and wher- DANZO!!! WHERE IS HE!" Minato sprung up angrily, only to plop back down due to the slight disconnect between him and his legs that he wasnt use to.

"Lord Fourth, Danzo Shimura was outside and tried to prevent me from healing you! Do you have any orders." Chiba said after getting down on one knee.

Chiba had some idea on what was going on after Danzo attacked him, but seeing Minato shout Danzo's name in hatred just after he woke up confirmed his suspicion

"Chiba! You've actually recovered from the coma!... With your strength you should be capable of this task alone! I order you, Chiba Uchiha, to hunt down Danzo Shimura for betraying the leaf and attacking its Hokage!" A look of anger filled Minato's eyes.

Despite the hatred in Minato's voice and the seriousness of the situation, Chiba couldnt help but smile at his Hokage's request.

"It shall be done!"

Racing through the forest Danzo and a team of fifty seven root ninja were fleeing the leaf at full speed as they weeved through the tree's.

The moment Chiba had entered the Hokages house to heal him, Danzo had already left with most of his ninja, leaving just a few behind to gather everything left in his base and destroying evidence.

"Leader my shadow clones were killed!"

"Mine as well!" The root ninja to his left and right reported.

"Which squad killed them?! Was it Kakashi's?!" Danzo said huffing and puffing, not use to running at a full sprint in decades.

"I couldnt see, it happened in an instant."

"Mine aswell, i couldnt figure out how i died!"

Biting his lip in anger, Danzo contnued to run northwest to the Land of lightning. Danzo never thought this day would come, but he always had a plan in case he ever had to flee the leaf.

Danzo lemented his failure that brought him to this terrible situation, the fact that he failed to kill Minato!

Years ago Danzo's spies heard that Minato was going to hold a five kage summit, he was going to try and unite the five great Villages against a threat he deemed too great for one village alone to handle!

Danzo didnt believe in this grand threat but had little problem with holding the summit, that was until he heard that Minato planned on spreading out the leafs resources to every village as a sign of trust!

Doing this would bring the lesser villages like the Mist and the Sand upward but would lower Konoha, something Danzo refused to do even if this supreme threat to the world actually existed!

So he immediately began planning to assassinate Minato to reinstate Hiruzen as the hokage again, half because Minato planned on distributing the Leafs resources and Half because he wanted to regain the power he had under Hiruzen.

He knew that while Hiruzen opposed some of his ideas, it was better than Minato who opposed most of them!

Using his resources Danzo had spies and researchers analyze the barrier around the fourth hokages house, reverse engineering the fuinjutsu seal that prevented anyone from teleporting in or entering via a different dimension!

Danzo knew that it would be impossible to assassinated Minato before he could react, and if the Yellow Flash could react then he would just teleport away... So he had to somehow stop him from teleporting! Danzo knew his only chance was to to use Minatos own Fuinjutsu against himself!

Danzo set up an ambush, he told Minato that they captured a strange man skulking around Kushina and led him into the underground Konoha Prison located in the Root headquarters.

Once inside they immediately activated the fuinjutsu that stopped him from teleporting out, of course now they effectively trapped themselve into a cage with the strongest Ninja in the world!

Wave after wave of Root ninja rushed into the dungeon trying to kill him, the room then flooded with poison that would kill all those who breathed it in and Minato wasnt in his combat uniform or had weapons!

Even with all of those disadvantages stacked against him, Minato began slaughtering the Root Ninja that came at him.

Like a hot knife through butter Minato was using a 'borrowed' Kunai to cutting down dozens of root ninja at a time, but more ninja just came to take their place like mindless drones!

It was becomjng a battle of attrition and Minato eventually lost against the combined might of over 100 brainwashed Ninja.

He found his Kunai breaking and having to block a sword with his bare hand, losing the the arm in the process! Another blade came and he tried to jump back, only for a Nara shadow to attach itself to his shadow freezing him in place!

He managed to break free within a fraction of a second but even that was too slow as he lost a leg in the process, Minato began to feel the affects of bloodloss and lack of chakra!

He was in a haze and couldnt fully think straight, but that's when he saw a wall of flames heading right at him he knew he had a chance!

Conjuring up the blue Rasengan ball, Minato used flickering body on his one leg and rushed head first into the flames! Instead of attacking the ninja perfoming the jutsu, Minato used the flames as a cover and instead slammed the ball of destructive chakra directly into the wall with the fuinjutsu on it!

As the wall crumpled down and the seal fail, Minato used the last bit of Chakra that he had to teleport back to his home and plopping down on the Kitchen table before Naruto and Kushina!

The attack on Konoha's Hokage spread throughout the world, Danzo used his influence to worm his way into leading the investigation on what happened. After a few days Danzo created enough false evidence to declare Orochimaru as the main culprit.

Fearing that Minato might possibly wake up, Danzo compromised and blackmailed one of the doctors to poison the injured Hokage and make sure he never regains consciousness.

While Danzo wasnt directly involved in ambushing Minato, it was obvious to anyone that the root ninja wouldnt attack the Hokage without Danzo's direct order.

"That damn Uchiha! He just had to regain consciousness during the attack on the leaf! I'd have finally seized the position of the Hokage if not for that bastard!"

Danzo had been in direct correspondence with Orochimaru during the konoha attack, he'd given the Sannin a list of Konoha Ninja and officials to kill in order for Danzo to gain the position of Hokage without opposition. Orochimaru said he'd do it only after completing his main objective, which never happened thanks to Chiba's interference!

"If i cant become the hokage of the leaf, I'll just have to regain political power elsewhere. The sand is missing their kage but it'll be too risky with the sand needing to pay reparations, the best choice is to defect to the Kumogakure! Their Raikage is powerful but is a dumb brute, i can easily man-" suddenly a large tree slammed into the middle of Danzo's squad crushing a few of them!

"Ah you lot didnt turn into smoke! I finally reached the actual squad!" Looking up into the sky, Danzo was shocked to see a lone figure hovering in the air!

"Without my chakra i couldnt identity which squad was actually real or shadow clone diversion, so i just wiped them all out." Trees all around them began to uproot themselved and float in the sky next to him, the lone figure eminated a palpable killing intent.

"Im here to keep my promise Danzo!"
