Naruki City – Amidst Pouring Rain
The torrential rain in Naruki City showed no signs of relenting, causing an increasing number of people to gather at the station. Observing the crowded area, Aaron decided to leave quietly, hoping to avoid unnecessary entanglements. His goal was clear—return to the Urahara Shop to enjoy the hot springs he'd been looking forward to.
To ensure his departure went unnoticed, Aaron slipped into a deserted alley after leaving the station. Discreetly placing Eien no Mukuro into his system storage, he vanished in a blur of motion, reappearing atop a high-rise building. While navigating through the city, he sensed two distinct Reiatsu emanating from the outskirts.
Aaron hesitated. He had avoided Soul Society for over a century, preferring to stay under the radar. However, one of the Reiatsu signatures felt strikingly familiar. His thoughts turned to an old acquaintance—Aizen Sōsuke. Chuckling to himself, Aaron decided to investigate.
Outskirts of Naruki City – A Tense Encounter
Shiba Isshin stood amidst the rain, his expression grim as he faced the infamous Aizen. The battle thus far had taken a heavy toll on him. Although the Hollow, White, was weaker than he initially feared, Aizen's interference had left him wounded and vulnerable. Isshin knew he might not walk away from this encounter.
As Isshin prepared for a counterattack, an overwhelming wave of Reiatsu descended upon the area, halting both combatants. The immense spiritual pressure left Isshin struggling to stand, while Aizen's confident demeanor crumbled. Attempting to chant a spell, Aizen suddenly collapsed to his knees, overwhelmed.
From above, a figure descended—a young man with short black hair and a composed smile. His presence exuded authority and power, causing both Isshin and Aizen to falter. Isshin stared at the newcomer, a flicker of recognition surfacing in his mind, though he couldn't place the figure.
Meanwhile, Aizen's mind raced. Recognizing Aaron, a former teacher of Soul Society's elite, filled him with dread. Aizen had carefully orchestrated events in Naruki City, conducting experiments with the Hōgyoku and orchestrating the Hollow attacks. Yet, this unforeseen arrival disrupted his plans entirely.
A Tense Reunion
"Long time no see, Aizen," Aaron said calmly, his smile betraying a mix of amusement and disdain. "What a coincidence to meet you here in Naruki City."
Aizen's mind reeled. He had prepared contingencies for numerous scenarios but never expected to encounter this unpredictable variable. Despite his unease, he quickly suppressed his emotions, releasing his Reiatsu to stand and face Aaron.
"Teacher," Aizen began cautiously, "it's surprising to see you here."
Without replying, Aaron disappeared in an afterimage, reappearing before Aizen in an instant. Gripping Kyōka Suigetsu's blade with his bare hand, Aaron examined the Zanpakutō with a faint smile. "A fine weapon," he remarked casually.
Aizen's eyes widened in disbelief. His initial plan to activate Kyōka Suigetsu's Shikai had been thwarted effortlessly. For the first time, he felt a genuine sense of powerlessness.
"You… grabbed the blade before I could release its ability?" Aizen thought, alarmed. "No one but Gin and Tōsen knows the truth about Kyōka Suigetsu. How could he—?"
Desperate, Aizen chanted, "Hadō #90: Kurohitsugi!" Purple energy began forming around Aaron, but before the spell could fully manifest, it shattered like fragile glass.
Isshin's Perspective
From a safe distance, Isshin watched in awe. "Did he just nullify Aizen's Kurohitsugi?" he muttered. This display of raw power was beyond anything he had witnessed before.
Aizen's Realization
Aaron turned to Aizen with a knowing smile. "I remember you asking me about Kidō techniques back in the day. You've improved your chantless casting, but…" He gestured dismissively, "it's still amateurish compared to what it could be."
Aizen clenched his fists. Every move he made was effortlessly countered, his thoughts seemingly anticipated. "Does he have the power to read minds?" he wondered, his unease deepening.
Before Aizen could recover, a ripple of energy emerged behind him. Aaron's smile faded as he shifted his gaze. "Ah, it seems your little experiments have attracted some unwanted attention," he said, stepping past Aizen to address the growing disturbance.
