Soul Society, Seireitei – The First Division Assembly Hall

In the grand meeting room of the First Division, the captains and lieutenants of all divisions stood aligned on either side of Captain-Commander Yamamoto Genryūsai Shigekuni.

Standing by Yamamoto's side, his trusted lieutenant, Chōjirō Sasakibe, stepped forward. Clearing his throat, he began, "In recent months, several Shinigami stationed in the World of the Living have been found dead under suspicious circumstances."

He paused briefly, then continued, "Following an investigation led by Captain Kurotsuchi Mayuri of the Research and Development Institute and a report submitted by Lieutenant Hitsugaya Tōshirō, it has been determined that these incidents are linked to several recent attacks in Naruki City."

Sasakibe's words stirred murmurs of concern among the captains, who began discussing the matter in hushed tones.

"Enough," Yamamoto's cane struck the wooden floor lightly, silencing the room. "Share your thoughts freely," he said in a calm yet commanding tone.

At that moment, a figure stepped forward—Captain Shiba Isshin of the Tenth Division. The bold captain bowed slightly before addressing the assembly. "Captain-Commander, I have my own thoughts on this matter and would like to volunteer to investigate these incidents personally."

After a thorough explanation of his plan, Isshin turned his gaze toward Yamamoto, awaiting his response.

A voice, dripping with sarcasm, cut through the room. "Oh, Captain Shiba, if these incidents involve any unusual specimens, do bring one back for me. My lab has been rather… quiet lately," sneered Captain Kurotsuchi Mayuri, his sinister smile hidden behind his elaborate headgear.

Isshin shot him a cold glare and retorted, "Thank you, Captain Kurotsuchi. If it weren't for your investigation, we wouldn't have any leads to begin with."

Before the tension could escalate further, Yamamoto coughed softly, commanding the room's attention once more. "Very well. Captain Shiba, you are authorized to investigate. Leave at once and report your findings promptly."

Bowing deeply, Isshin replied, "Understood, Captain-Commander. I will get to the bottom of this."

As Yamamoto brought the meeting to a close with a firm strike of his cane, a figure hidden among the crowd—a bespectacled man with brown hair—smiled faintly before vanishing into the shadows.

A Quiet Corner in the World of the Living

Aaron walked leisurely toward Urahara's shop, drawn by the sound of loud bickering.

Ahead, he saw a red-haired boy waving a rolled-up newspaper, trying to hit a young girl with braided hair.

"Xiao Yu! You went and tattled on me to the manager again, didn't you?!" the boy yelled. "Stop crying! Take your punishment like an adult!"

The girl, shielding her head with her hands, whimpered, "Jinta, stop it! You got in trouble because of your own mistake!"

Before Jinta could deliver another swat, he felt his arm caught in a firm grip. Turning, he saw a tall man in a black cloak smiling calmly at him.

"Isn't it shameful to bully a girl?" Aaron asked gently.

Jinta puffed out his chest, trying to look intimidating. "Hey! Who do you think you are, meddling in my business? Let go, or I'll make you regret it!"

The girl tugged at Jinta's sleeve nervously. "Jinta, stop! If the manager finds out, we'll both be punished!"

Aaron chuckled softly. "See how sensible Xiao Yu is? You should follow her example."

Before Jinta could retort, Urahara Kisuke appeared from the shop, donning his usual striped hat. He paused, eyes widening as he recognized the man standing before him.

"Jinta!" Urahara's voice carried authority as he used a quick Shunpo to place himself between the boy and Aaron.

At that moment, Tessai Tsukabishi rushed out, hoisting Jinta effortlessly and tossing him into the shop. "Your behavior is unacceptable, Jinta!" Tessai bellowed.

Jinta emerged moments later, rubbing the bump on his head. Seeing Urahara and Tessai bowing respectfully to Aaron, he turned to Xiao Yu with wide eyes. "Xiao Yu… who is this guy? Why are they acting so scared?"

Before Xiao Yu could respond, Aaron patted Urahara on the shoulder and said, "Relax. These kids are just a bit unruly."

Turning toward the shop, he added, "It's been a while since I've been here. Let's see how things have changed."

Urahara and Tessai exchanged nervous glances before following him inside.

Jinta, still puzzled, asked Tessai again, "Who is he?"

Tessai leaned in and whispered ominously, "Do you remember the scary story the manager told us? About the teacher whose power is unmatched?"

Jinta's face turned pale. "You mean… that teacher?"

Xiao Yu nodded solemnly.

Jinta burst into tears. "Xiao Yu! Save me! The manager's going to kill me for this!"

Soul Society – The First Division Gate

Back in the Soul Society, Shiba Isshin stood silently before the Senkaimon. The report in his hand detailed the troubling incidents, but his mind seemed elsewhere as he prepared to step into the unknown.
