Blade of the Goddess

Chapter 308 - The End

"How do you feel?" Gaia asked Zion as he looked down at the planet he had called home for over 300 years. It felt like a part of himself would go missing the moment he left. So, he wanted to take one good look at it.

"Bitter-sweet. I don't even know if that's the right word to use. I feel as if I'm losing a part of myself. I know I can always come back, but it hurts to leave, you know?"

"Nah, I was so thankful that I was able to leave the worlds I was in when I was coming up as a deity. So, I can't relate to you there."

"Asshole."

"Want me to add another billion years?" Gaia asked

"No, sorry."

Zion smiled, remembering everything he had done over the past 300 years.

Not too long after he went back home, he had gotten all of his girls pregnant. Everyone was extremely excited when that happened, but they needed a new place to stay. This is when Aurora suggested making one of the floating Islands our new home.

So, since then, the Zagan family has had their own private floating island, dedicated to their family members only. They also finally got married.

Soon after that, Zion and all of his scientists, engineers, carpenters, and more started on the reconstruction of the world's infrastructure.

Large and tall metal and glass buildings were built. Cars became a normal thing to see, planes soared in the skies, and roads were built across the world.

Because of his knowledge, the planet's industrial boom resembled modern Earth before it was destroyed, and soon after, the world looked futuristic.

Crystal was still the ruler of Astir, even after having dozens of children. Melina decided to retire and pass the torch to Valindra, who then put Syrune as her Co-Queen. Together, they had many kids with Zion.

Wanting to have his blood be the ruler of each race, Zion took on two more wives, Nyx and Zyntril. Since Zyntril wasn't the ruler of the beastmen, he made her the leader. This worked out since she was trying to get his attention ever since the tournament. Bearkin loves strong men.

As for the dwarves, Zion made Rebecca their queen and gave her many children as well. Thanks to her brilliant mind, she was able to teach the dwarves many advanced pieces of knowledge, which helped in the development of the world.

After a century, Gaia enjoyed her stay on the world so much that she extended it by another century.

Lilith also had Zion's children and decided to name their first son after his father.

Luminera and Erebosa gave birth to godly children who would help them manage the world when they grew up.

After another century, Zion had fully established eveything he wanted to do in the world. The class system was changed to better fit his views, making everyone able to become their best selves without the interference of those in power. Poverty and homelessness completely vanished, and the world became a true Utopia.

Business boomed, the world thrived, and they took their first steps into interplanetary travel.

Zion had already had the means to travel between planets, but he wanted all of his people to learn it first, while also bettering technology so everyone could understand how it works.

Technology seamlessly merged with magic, but neither of them replaced the other. As technology progressed, so did magic, and neither of them was better than the other. Zion made sure of this. He didn't want the world to shift on one or the other side. He wanted a balance of both, and he made that happen.

Tessa was also a huge help with eveything. She connected to every network and piece of technology in the world, making programming and other technological things function seamlessly.

Many different versions of herself were built and acted as guides, computer programs, librarians, teachers, and more. Tessa was fully maximizing her ability to be in every piece of tech.

Finally, after another century, Zion managed to see the first-ever interstellar travel, in both of his lives. The team that went on the mission arrived at an inhabited planet to study its material and other things you would study on a planet.

Space travel became a normal thing as well. There was a Dyson sphere around the sun, the moon was a vacation resort, the planet in front of the main planet was turned into a training world, and the planet behind the main planet was currently in the process of being terraformed.

And finally, before it was time for Zion to leave, he named the planet. He called it.....Zion. Yeah, pretty original, but there was another meaning behind it.

Zion meant "Heavenly City" or "Kingdom of Heaven", and in his eyes, the planet matched that description.

Zion had built his kingdom on this planet, and he didn't wish to part with it. But he had a job to do.

He had said goodbye to his Mother, Aunt, sisters, wives, and children a few days ago, telling them that it was time for him to leave. He really missed his newborns, but he made sure they would remember him. Besides, he would visit from time to time.

But for those few days, he had been staring at the world, not moving an inch.

"It's time to go, Zion." Gaia rested her hand on his shoulder.

"Yeah. I know. Just a few more minutes. That's all."

She allowed it.

"Do you think I'll see Earth, Terra?" He asked

"Your old world? Yeah. It's on my list of planets to protect. The place is in dire need of assistance. I'm sure you'll be a great help to it." She smiled

"Can we go there first?"

Gaia knew that Zion would put all of his feelings into his old world. He had more of an attachment to that place than the world he was currently in.

While he grew his family on Planet Zion, he was born on Planet Earth, and whether he admitted it or not, he was biased to his old home.

"It's not the closest place to us, so we'll have to wait for a bit before going there." Gaia wasn't lying. Planet Earth was on the other side of the Galaxy and wasn't the closest planet she owned.

But that didn't matter to Primordials, who could travel the universe just by thinking. Zion understood why she said no as well. She wanted him to put the same time and effort into her other planets as he did with Planet Zion, but if he went to Earth first, then he probably wouldn't, since his goal would have been achieved, which was to save his old world.

"It's too far, huh? Yeah, that's alright." He smiled, punching his palm and pointing off into space.

"Alright, big green lady, let's roll! We have tons of planets to protect, and they arent going to protect themselves!"

"Did you just call me 'big green lady'?" Her mood shifted.

"What? You must be mistaken. I called you the most beautiful woman in the whole universe." He smiled

"Right, I thought that was what you said." She decided to take the compliment. Gaia didn't want to admit it, but she had gotten pretty fond of Zion over the past 300 years. They were now like family, and she didn't simply see him as one of the people from the many worlds she had.

"You ready?" She asked, holding out her hand.

"Ready as I'll ever be. I'm looking forward to our space adventure."

"Good choice of words." She beamed with excitement.

Zion grabbed Gaia's hand, smiling at her, and they warped into the unknowns of space.
