Blade of the Goddess

After traveling some more and talking with a few locals, the dragon pairs were able to find where the Military base was. They quickly flew over to the area and surveyed the place from the sky.

As they watched, they saw a commander brutally training his troops with intense discipline and fierceness.

"GET UP, SOLDIERS! DON'T TELL ME THIS LEVEL OF TRAINING IS TOO HARD FOR YOU?! DO YOU WANT TO DISSAPOINT LORD ZION?!" The commander asked, his voice loud and vicious.

"SIR, NO SIR!" The soldiers shouted back, all of them lining up at attention.

"THEN WHY DO I SEE A BUNCH OF BITCHES CRAWLING ON THE GROUND INSTEAD OF MEN? ARE YOU NOT THE BEST SOLDIERS OF THE HOLY EMPIRE?!"

"Sir, Yes Sir!"

"I CAN'T HEAR YOU!"

"SIR, YES SIR!"

"THEN FUCKING ACT LIKE IT!" The commander then turned to a man around thirty.

"GORDON!"

The man stepped forward. "SIR, YES SIR?"

"What is your cultivation level?"

"PEAK TRANSCENDENT, SIR!"

"Is there anyone here in the army who's stronger than you or more skilled than you?"

"SIR, NO SIR!"

"And do you think you'll be able to kill a dragon without training as hard as you can?"

"SIR, NO SIR!"

"THEN STOP ACTING LIKE A BITCH AND GET BACK TO SWINGING YOUR SWORD!"

"SIR, YES SIR!" Gordon left the formation and started swinging his sword.

The other knights stood there, looking at their commander and waiting for his instructions.

"The fuck are you looking at me for? GET BACK TO FUCKING WORK!"

"SIR, YES SIR!"

"At least they're disciplined," Doloris commented

"Pffthahahaha! Disciplined? Who cares about that? They're weak as fuck!" Dreg couldn't contain his laughter, grabbing his stomach and laughing so hard that tears started running down his face.

"Shut up." Doloris punched him in the stomach. "While their strength is pitiful, as we expected, it's their weapon that we need to worry about. We just need to find it and steal it."

"Why don't we just destroy it?" Dreg asked

"Because Lady Circe wants to study it."

"I see. Well, it's not like those soldiers here will talk about it, so let's go look around again."

"Sir Gabriel, Lady Raven wishes to speak with you concerning the mega weapon we're planning on using against the dragons." A mage said, running into the knights' training grounds.

The dragons looked on in shock. "No way, right?" They asked themselves.

"Of course. Please, take me to her. I BETTER NOT SEE YOU ALL RELAXING WHEN I COME BACK!" Gabriel shouted before leaving with the mage.

Doloris pointed toward Gabriel. "Quickly, let's follow them. Raven is the name of one of the Mystics who are considered a threat."

The dragons followed him until they arrived at the Academy, where Raven worked. They used their magic to hide their entire presence and followed Gabriel to Raven's office.

"Welcome, Sir Gabriel. I'm glad you could make it." Raven smiled.

"N-No, the pleasure is all mine. It's still an honor being able to speak to someone of your status. Especially since you're the aunt of Lord Zion."

'What?! She's Zion's aunt?' Dreg asked

Doloris slapped him on the back of the head. 'Yes, you dumb fuck. Did you not read the file?'

'N-No.' He admitted

"Ohoho, please, I'm just Raven Blackstar, the academy headmistress. Anyway, please follow me, I have to show you the plans so your troops don't get hurt."

"Of course!"

Raven led Gabriel to a secret room that then led underground. It was a new room specifically crafted to lure the dragons in, but they didn't know that. All they knew was that a massive orb that was decked out in thousands of runes and magic circles was sitting on display.

'That's the weapon? The mana coming off of that could destroy an entire nation!' Doloris gulped.

"Sir Gabriel, this weapon is the one my nephew used to injure the demon Gonrod and attack Hylaea. When mana is applied to it, the orb floats into the sky and fires off beams of pure mana that cause mass destruction. Because of this, you and your soldiers need to stay a certain distance from the blast radius when we use it."

Raven went on to explain a whole battle plan that centered around using the orb as their main source of attacking against he dragons.

This made Doloris and Dreg both worried and excited. Not only did they learn what the weapon did, but they were also able to learn where the weapon was. This was a win on their part.

They've seen the destruction this weapon could cause, and if the humans were able to use it against them, it would be catastrophic, but now, it didn't matter because it would be in their hands soon.

"I see. Thank you for briefing me on this. I'll relay this information to my men as soon as possible. Those flying lizards wont know what hit them! For the golden!"

Raven smiled. "For the golden."

The two of them left the room, leaving the dragon behind.

"Quickly, let's grab this and get out of here."

Doloris opened a portal to Hylaea while Dreg picked up the orb. Dreg entered the portal and waited on the Hylaea border for Doloris to finish scouting the kingdom for any other weapons or mystic threats before heading back to their kingdom.

"My Lady, Doloris and Dreg have completed their mission." A dragon nun announced.

"Good." Circe smiled. "Bring them to me, and call my husband."

"Yes, my Lady."

Ten minutes later, Drakoth, Doloris, and Dreg all entered Circe's office.

"We greet Lady Circe." Doloris and Dreg said in unison.

"Good evening, my love."

"I heard that your mission was a success."

Doloris nodded. "Yes, my lady. We were able to confirm that everyone on the list is, in fact, Mystic Stage beings, and we were able to locate and confiscate the weapon Zion used to attack our land."

"We've also learned of their military strength. No one exceeded the transcendent state." Dreg added.

"As we expected." Circe smiled. "The weapon."

Just then, her doors opened, and two men were carrying the massive orb into her office.

"So this is the weapon Zion used to harm our people, huh? I can feel the mana coming off it; it's intense." Drakoth commented, looking at the orb in awe.

"Once we learn how this weapon is operated, we'll launch our attack. Zion will learn what it feels like to be on the receiving end of this device." Circe smirked, already sure of her victory.
