Black Clover: Nah I'd Lose

'Why hasn't he brought out his grimoire yet?' The guy thought while sending a very fast water ball at him. 

The masked dwarf let his body fall backwards while his foot still stuck to the branch, such that he dodged the projectile barely while now standing upside down on the branch. 

He had also skidded down his foot from the upper side of the branch to the lower side of the branch.

The transition was very smooth. 

'Don't tell me, he is from some other country, that's why he is fearing to bring out his grimoire, but does he really have the confidence to bring me down without his grimoire?' The knight in purple thought. 

It was not really unusual for some people to suppress others without grimoires, it's entirely possible if the former were high-ranking mages. 

The reason the knight didn't consider Akeru to be a child is due to the fact that it's very rare for children before 15 to be able to do some proper spells which have some combat ability. 

Such people are only found in nobles and if that was the case, then this scenario wouldn't have happened in the first place. 

'Also, he hasn't used any of the elemental spells, is he planning to use that as a surprise factor? I need to be careful' The knight's thought revealed that he wasn't a complete newbie. 

What he didn't know was that Akeru couldn't use any spells at all. 

His control over water could be regarded as a borderline spell, but that doesn't have any offensive power. 

Maybe it would have been useful if the opponent was a fire mage, as a stream was nearby, but it seems that is not the case. 

'I can't escape, plus spells of his are dangerous, I am pretty sure that I would be knocked unconscious if one of them hit me if not die outright' Akeru had a grim expression behind the mask. 

"I would advise you to give up now, a lot of mages are coming behind me to capture you, the current Wizard King is graceful enough to not kill you outright, this is the last golden leaf that could be given to you," The knight said. 

"..." Akeru was completely speechless and his mind went blank for a second. 

'Are not only magic knights but also Wizard King free to oversee the trial of a pickpocketing incident?' Akeru from this point on regarded whatever the guy was saying as complete bullshit. 

He was right in the fact that the guy was lying about other knights coming behind him. 

However, what he didn't know was that everything other than that was true. 

Purple Orca knight had an impression that Akeru is not from this country and is probably from a neighbouring country, possibly Diamond, as they have a history of sending spies who get captured. 

So, from his perspective, he was telling the truth. 

'Even if his spells could possibly one-shot me, it would matter only if he hit me' Akeru made up his mind. 

He knew that he couldn't escape this guy. 

Despite having his current top speed way faster than automobiles from his previous life, it was in no way close to the top speed of a fucking mana bike. 

He jumped away from the tree and that was the moment the guy chose to hurl out dozens of water needles at him. 

'I knew it, he has no plans to capture me' Akeru thought while putting his leg on the bark of the tree.

It momentarily stuck and gave Akeru a footing which was enough for him. 

BOOM

A loud voice could be heard throughout the forest. 

The place where Akeru had put his right left momentarily had a huge hole. 

One may even mistake it for a second that it was a woodpecker's nest. 

The water needles pierced through the nearby trees of the tree Akeru was standing a second ago, and they even made countless holes in successive trees. 

However, that didn't ease the knight in purple in the slightest. 

'He definitely specializes in pure mana attacks, and that mana burst was controlled, what a monstrous guy, That attack he used to cut my pythons was mana too, he definitely is trained to be a spy, with his grimoire, he has to be an at least Intermediate Level knight if not...' The guy had a grim expression and he didn't bother to think ahead, as that possibility was scary for him. 

He just was a normal Junior Knight who had only joined recently, due to being from a noble family that was not that well off, he had a cautious attitude. 

So, he sneaked and attacked when the guy didn't surrender. 

'I need to escape' The guy internally thought while casting a defensive spell. 

A water ball surrounded him just as another boom could be heard. 

CLANG

The sound of Metal hitting metal could be heard, however, if somebody actually observed carefully, they would only see water clashing with a human hand. 

That would sound illogical at first glance, but it was the reality of this world. 

The water barrier withstood Akeru's hand.

'I need to have higher offensive power' He thought while in the next instant, the tips of his palm clashing with the water barrier turned blue. 

Mana was vibrating furiously there. 

'Oscillatory Dysfunction: Maximum Output'

Water pythons that were rushing to Akeru at the moment didn't get a chance to hit other parts of his body as they instinctively changed their directions and clashed with Akeru's palm after he broke the barrier. 

They were cut like butter, Akeru felt like he was putting his hands through a pipe of water aimed at him. 

'What the fu-' His hand reached his body, hitting him in the chest where his heart is supposed to. 

The magic robe of Purple Orcas was full body unlike that of Black Bull. 

Plus unlike the stingy captain, this one had proper runes and stuff to have a decent defensive prowess. 

'Ouch, I need to at least take him down with him' The guy had accepted his fate that he was going to die, so he decided to take Akeru down with him during the time his robe was bought. 

Unfortunately for him, Akeru was prepared for that and before that guy could initiate a spell, his grimoire was destroyed by Akeru. 

'Nooooooooo' He thought while his robe was finally being cut through by Akeru's vibration blade. 

However, unlike What the guy was expecting, Akeru's palm didn't cut through that guy's chest and blood didn't come out. 

Akeru at last second had deactivated his technique and let his fingers touch his chest. 

Due to his previous momentum and the fact that his fingers were still mana-enhanced, the guy suffered internal damage and fainted on the spot. 

'Finally, he is down' Akeru sighed in relief. 

If he had known that this guy would have retreated if Akeru had escaped after the first mana burst, then, he would have exactly done that. 

If This guy's caution units are 10 points, then Akeru's was 100 points. 

It could be even called cowardice, but Akeru valued his life the most. 

He didn't want to die. 

'Just in case' Akeru stomped on the guy's pubic area. 

Fortunately, that stomp wasn't mana-enhanced, otherwise...

He did a few more stomps and sighed when the guy was really unconscious. 

He dropped his guard by a few notches but his mana sense was on the guy, fearing that he would wake up at any second. 

It was too cliche and Akeru didn't want to see that. 

'I have already consumed half of my mana, I bet this guy hasn't even reached 4/5 of his reserves, such is the difference between nobles and commoners' Akeru enviously looked at the knight who was lying on the ground with his bare chest. 

'Mana control was just one aspect, I need to delve into traps and runes, they are underrated, Magna and what was the red-haired guy's name?, they both took that gravity devil holder down a peg, it was quite baffling if one thought that two mere commoners brought one of the upper existences of Spade Kingdom, and he wasn't glass cannon, he was overpowered' Akeru decided to cheer himself while recalling some of his cannon knowledge. 

Due to so much time passed, even before he died and watching black clover, he didn't remember all the nitty bit details, only important ones, and he hadn't finished the manga. 

'I think there was a way in heart kingdom too, some way to use nature mana or something'
