[BL] Accidentally Becoming the Healer of the Deranged Archduke

Chapter 392: Too Pretty To Be Prisoner

"Zen is making you and me stupid. We need to put it away before figuring out how to destroy it," Xion said in one breath.

The crushing weight on him eased as Darius' grip loosened.

Xion's hand flew to his face, cupping his stinging mouth. The moment his palm brushed his lips, he hissed.

This brute had bitten him so viciously that he could taste blood from the torn skin.

"... Zen... Zen..." The Archduke muttered, gaze unfocused. Where had it gone? He'd almost forgotten.

But how could he let something so important slip by? That wasn't like him at all.

While Darius stood up to look for the stone, the system sneakily scanned the bedroom.

[Host, I can sense its presence in the last drawer.]

If Xion recalled it correctly, Darius had definitely put it in the first drawer. So, how did it end up in the last one?

'Can it move by itself?'

[No, it can't, but it can definitely mutate things surrounding it, and change their nature.]

Alter and mutate...

Xion drew in a sharp breath. Was it like the purple plague? The one Talia was responsible for?

"Hurry up and look for it."

His reaction finally compelled Darius to move toward the drawer.

Xion could hear the opening and closing of the drawers as he lay there, catching his breath and trying hard not to wince when his lips moved.

"It might be in the last one," he muttered in a low voice.

"Found it."

Xion pushed himself up, turning his face toward the voice, "Any changes in it? The last time I saw it, the rock was all black."

There was a long silence before Darius replied, "... It had taken the shape of a human heart. And it is glowing with dark fog."

The same kind Darius often saw in humans.

The malicious swirls of the darkness that would rot anyone from the inside until they yielded to their desires.

Darius felt the excited buzzing in it, almost like a song of exhilaration.

Zen was excited.

Someone like Darius, who would manipulate the situation until the person fell into the trap set for him, could easily tell it now.

Zen and he were the same kind.

It was as if he were holding his own heart, willing to kill whoever stood in his way to get what he wished.

"It's pretty," he murmured absent-mindedly. "... and disgusting."

Xion laughed at that, and then immediately regretted it.

Each of the slightest movements tugged sharply at his still bleeding lips.

"It's powerful enough to mess with both of us," Xion sighed. "We'd better get rid of this thing before everyone starts doing things they shouldn't."

"How do you know?"

Xion simply closed his eyes, even when the bed sank beside him, or when Darius wiped away the wetness from the corner of his eyes.

He blamed the Zen for making his tear ducts a bit too workable.

A little bit of stimulation, and he was shedding tears. There was no dignity left to talk about anymore.

"I hurt you."

The only answer was Xion's snort.

"It's bleeding."

"What did you expect when you bit me so hard? To shed wine?"

"... If you ignore me, I will chain you."

The sudden sentence left Xion utterly speechless.

With the system back online, the creepy effect of Zen had lessened a lot. Even his breathing felt easier.

But by the looks of it, it wasn't the same for Darius.

"Chain me and what? Treat me as a prisoner?"

"Not a prisoner. You are far too precious for that," Darius brushed his lips over Xion's damp forehead. The touch was so very gentle, but his words were anything but.

"After all, you are my personal little angel."

Those words made Xion jolt. His entire body shivered as if thrown into the pit of cold venom.

"You!"

"Your play time is almost up, little angel. I wonder what you will choose now?"

The words fell, and Darius blinked.

With a tight frown, he shook his head. The sudden fog curling over his mind seemed to vanish.

He looked at the pale face of Xion and then at the beating black heart in his hand.

"Xion... What did I say to you? What does 'time up' mean?"

Xion scrambled to his feet. He nearly fell on the cold floor from how frantically he was trying to stay away from Darius.

"Don't! Don't touch me!"

Darius' hand was inches away from grazing Xion, from grabbing that wrist and pulling him into his arms. Just like he had done in the hallways.

Do it. Won't that make everything easy?

A voice hissed in his mind.

Darius blinked. The thought did make sense.

You know how impervious he is to all those stares. They undress him with their dirty eyes.

His jaw tightened. Yes, he'd seen them.

So, why not gouge their eyes out? We should start with Raymond's, put those sinful eyes in a jar, and display it.

The idea slipped in, smooth as silk.

Then, Bianca? He asked himself.

Yes, the voice answered with a delightful glee. Bianca with her filthy red eyes.

As for that brat who always clings to our little angel... We can simply cut Noxian's hands. Or maybe arms too. Then he won't be able to touch our Xion.

Right?

"Right," Darius said absentmindedly.

The voice cheered.

Wouldn't it be so good to keep Xion always in this room? Better yet.. on bed?"

He wouldn't have any place to go, and he wouldn't end up getting hurt anymore.

You can have him all to yourself. You can pamper him with your love, keep him full of your seed until he has no choice but to conceive for you.

Feeling the subtle shift in Darius' emotions, the voice tempted him with the biggest ultimatum.

I can help you with all of that. Just make Xion eat me, and he will be all healthy and ready to get pregnant.

You will finally get your own happy family then.

If you delayed for long... what if that brat took advantage and took Xion away again?
