Chapter 55: Bizarre Kiana’s Ever-Changing Positions
Fair, delicate skin, tinged with pink. A slender figure, and perfect curves.
He wasn't the one at a disadvantage. It was his Kintama. What did that have to do with him, Li Mo?
"It's not about the Kintama, it's not about the lower back. At this moment, the ideals of all mankind converge into a single 'grand ambition.'"
"Staking the dignity of all humanity, I will defeat Bizarre Kiana head-on."
Most people were too obsessed with a single thing, but in this world, there was no such thing as a perfect life.
Ideals would raise their proud heads. They would pluck roses and freely smell the fragrance of flowers.
Reality would hunch its back, burdened, scorched by the sun, yet still gritting its teeth, trudging forward in a cold pool of blood.
Pain and happiness were intertwined, erupting in one moment, and disappearing silently in the next.
…
…
…
The outside world was still silent. When night fell, only the chaotic sounds of wind and water intertwined and echoed.
The death of any person, to the whole world, to the entire history of mankind, didn't hold even the slightest bit of meaning.
The world wouldn't become any more beautiful or ugly because of someone's sacrifice. The fall of a hero was nothing more than a topic of conversation for people when they were bored.
Whether a person's life was right or wrong, full of successes or failures, was difficult to judge. Everyone had their merits and flaws. It was hard to compare achievements and good and evil from a single perspective.
Day 90—
…
Day 91.
A mere three months. Not short, but not long either. It was long enough to die.
The "white blood" had already taken up one-third of the space inside the black coffin. Li Mo had to sit up to keep his upper body from being tainted by it.
As for the notebook, it had already given up on life, trapped in endless shame.
"Ugha… Ugha… I'm… I'm dying…" Li Mo's voice was hoarse, like a dried corpse. His limbs were trembling non-stop.
Fortunately, Kiana had finally fainted.
If she hadn't collapsed, Li Mo would have.
"All women in this world are nothing but skeletons under their skin. My past self, intoxicated by rouge and powder. Now I've returned to the correct path. This is… truly virtuous."
Li Mo put his hands together, his heart as still as water, without any distracting thoughts.
This was his calmest and most composed moment, besides the times that he had died.
After the ritual of usurpation, subtle changes had occurred in Li Mo's body.
Not only physically, but also in his hazy memories, which were too complicated to recall.
"How long did she live?"
Li Mo couldn't help but wonder. This memory clearly far exceeded the lifespan of a human. Li Mo even suspected that it wasn't the memory of a single person.
He didn't dare to accept the bizarre entity's memories unless it was malfunctioning.
But Bizarre Kiana hadn't died. She had only discarded the body that existed in this spacetime.
Bizarre Kiana had a physical body in reality, but she was also a conceptual existence.
"I'll put these memories aside for now. I can't just directly accept all of them. My brain can't handle memories of this scale. And besides… Kiana turned into a bizarre entity because of some unknown experiences. If I accept that part of her memories, then perhaps I'll become the second Kiana, and the next bizarre entity."
Li Mo was very lucid. Black hair covered his forehead,
and then the short, jet-black hair transformed, becoming whiter, its length constantly increasing.
This change was very bad, but thankfully, it would only last for half a day.
"A Bizarre Kiana experience card, huh…"
"Half a day to resolve all the bizarre entities in this world."
Li Mo clenched his fists, snapped his fingers, and completely erased the history inside the black coffin. He then used the Herrscher's power to change into a smart outfit.
And most importantly, he got rid of the stench on his body…
The clothes fit snugly. The clothes that had been formed from Honkai energy seemed to truly exist in reality. They weren't the emperor's new clothes.
"Let's go outside first and see if it's day or night."
Li Mo reached out to push against the coffin lid, which was covered in soil.
"I'll use the Herrscher of the Void's power to get out."
Li Mo opened a portal beneath him, setting the coordinates to several meters above. When he saw the red moon above his head, his body gradually became lighter. A faint contamination was gradually invading Li Mo's consciousness.
"Night? Then I have to hurry up and deal with all the bizarre entities before sunrise."
When he appeared aboveground, he saw a familiar person—Shigure Kira, who was tied up by pure white hair.
Li Mo descended from the sky, walked to Shigure Kira's side, and said jokingly:
"Yo, isn't this Shigure Kira? Long time no see. How are yo…"
"Why is there a smell?"
Li Mo was incredibly familiar with that smell because Kiana had also emitted the same smell.
Shigure Kira averted her gaze guiltily and struggled a few times, but the hair remained motionless. Li Mo walked over, placed his hand on the hair, and instantly, the hair lost its power, freeing Shigure Kira.
Shigure Kira really wanted to yell, "Three months! Do you know how I've spent these past three months?! Ahh!! I couldn't do anything except eavesdrop! Do you know how difficult it is being a woman pushing forty!?"
But Shigure Kira didn't say that. She would absolutely never tell anyone about the famous painting known as Shigure Kira Eavesdropping on a Coffin.
No one would ever imagine it.
"You're not dead?" Shigure Kira asked, adjusting her expression.
"Something happened. I just came out of the black coffin and seized the power of a bizarre entity,"
Li Mo said truthfully. After all, dying and coming back to life was something that was very difficult for anyone to achieve.
Even if it was a close friend, just imagine. One day, a person who had been dead for many years appeared before you. You would probably try to verify their identity.
So Li Mo gave his reason in advance, concealing some of the unsightly truth.
"I've been tied up here for a long time. No ghosts attacked me, perhaps because the funeral was completed successfully, and the ghosts have all disappeared. And the strangest thing is, I actually didn't starve to death."
Shigure Kira touched her lower abdomen, puzzled.
"The ghosts related to the funeral haven't disappeared. They've just become dormant," Li Mo clarified.
"As for how you didn't starve to death…" Li Mo turned to look at the infant not far from Shigure Kira. He could almost certainly determine that it was because of it.
Even though Li Mo didn't know why it would help Shigure Kira survive, it didn't stop him from dealing with this ghost.
Shigure Kira nodded, then changed the subject: "But I heard a female voice coming from inside the coffin during this time, as well as some disgusting sounds… Huh? You said that you came out of the coffin…?"
"Your perception has been interfered with. I didn't say that."
"But there aren't any head ghosts here."
"Who said that? Isn't this one right here?"
Li Mo reached out and grabbed the Cognitive Ghost's head, lifting it up. The hair left behind by Bizarre Kiana held its body tightly in place. In the end, its body was torn apart.
