Chapter 1: Register your self
"Um... Hello? Anyone out there? Hello? Aion? Anything?" Soren yelled out into the darkness, as he was looking around and waiting for something to appear, but even after an undetermined amount of time, he still got no response from anyone or anything.
"Bloody hell... Don't tell me this shit bugged itself out before it even turned on. I swear to god, if I starve to death while being stuck in this void, I'll make sure to-"
Your current realism setting is too low. Please raise your settings before attempting to use your AION Helmet.
"God... F*cking... Dammit..." Soren commented weakly, as he felt his consciousness returning back into the real world and stared at the ceiling with an annoyed expression, before taking off his helmet to change the realism setting.
"Set it to 40%, they said. It's for a safe and immersive experience, they said. Triple check your f*cking game's state before you decide to launch it, you bloody pillocks!" Soren yelled furiously, as he barely held the urge to throw his helmet to the wall, before deciding to set the realism setting straight to 100%.
Although he knew that setting the realism setting to the maximum setting was risky, since he had seen multiple interviews with AionTech representatives that spoke about either about the game or its realism setting and although they didn't speak too much about they game itself, they went into a lot of detail about the realism setting and repeatedly mentioned that setting the realism setting anything higher than 40% could lead to temporary or even permanent brain damage and even brain death at times. Despite that fact though, he had no intention of sticking with 100% realism for long, since he intended to change the settings once he logged into the game and then he would start playing the game properly, at its recommended settings.
Thankfully for him, after changing the setting and putting the helmet on once more, he didn't have to wait for more than a few seconds in the darkness, before the desired panel that showed the beginning of the game appeared in from of him.

"Alright. Finally managed to get into the game... Let's hope now my usual handle isn't taken then." Soren commented with a hint of relief and apprehension on his face, as he typed at the holographic keyboard in front of him.
Name: Neros This name is avaialble. Would you like to proceed: [YES] [NO]
"Cool, let's get this game started." With that comment, he pressed the Yes button and the panel in front of him dissipated into smoke, before a loud glass-shattering sound echoed from below him. Before he could register the white cracks that were appearing below his feet, a second similar sound echoed in his ears, as the ground broke into pure light and a falling sensation enveloped his body. As he was falling through the light, he could see a distant clouds, but after a few seconds of falling, his body was suddenly met with a wave of pain, as a splashing sound echoed into his ear and his entire body was engulfed with water.
As he was trying to recover from the sudden wave of pain, he suddenly felt his body slowly float upwards, before his body emerged from a layer of water and launched a couple meters into the sky and fell onto the grassy ground with a loud noise.
"Urgh... F*ck me and call me a princess..." Soren commented weakly, as his was still recovering from that painful sequence of events. "Anyways... Owww... Where on god's rotting earth have I... landed on...?"
As his words trailed off, he was currently witnessing the scenery in front of him and was left in pure awe. The sky was colored with a light azure color, similar to the actual sky, but with a far lesser amount of dark clouds and the tree leaves were colored with a deep azure color, as the tree trunks were colored with a striking deep crimson color, almost the same color of freshly dropped drops of blood.
"Wow... Never thought I could say this, but I'll give AionTech a point for pulling off the realism of the world perfectly. I can definitely feel the air feels far lighter and cleaner and I don't feel suffocated whenever I breathe here. Also, I had nearly forgotten how grass actually feels. I wish I could enjoy this for a couple of hours, but I have work to do, mainly changing the settings of the game so it doesn't require me to play on 100% realism, because if that intro sequence was but a slight taste of the pain I'm about to experience, then I'd rather have the ability to play this game without having to put my life on the line, rather than the feeling of pure, fresh and breathable air, entering my lungs. Now, let's see where the settings menu is..." As Soren monologued, he tried looking for some sort of menu or panel or anything of the sort, but he had no clue where to even start, since AionTech kept a lot of the game's functions hidden and aside from a references and rumors to a revamped class system, there was barely any gameplay information and most of the game information is all about the recreation of a variety of environments and some tidbits about everyone's starting areas, the starting villages.
Without any clue how to open the menu or any other clue that could help, he could only leave the realism setting problem for later and try to explore his immediate area, in hope for some sort of tutorial that could teach him how to navigate this game. Thankfully for him, it would not take more than a single step, before a familiar panel appeared in front of him.

"Huh!? What the hell? Did the game just glitch out or something?" Soren asked incredulously, as he stared at the panel in front of him. "I already registered my name, didn't I? F*ck it, I'll just register it again." After inputting his internet handle "Neros", he was met with an unexpected message.

"F*ck... Guess I'll to use my other handle." After cursing a bit, Soren then wrote down his one of his other two internet handles for his substitute accounts, "MeisterNeros".

"Alright... That clearly didn't work. Also, is it me or the panel changing colors...?" Soren commented with a slightly worried expression, as he tried his last one, "DoctorNeros"

"Okaaayyy... Now I'm certain that something's up. The panel doesn't suddenly decide to slowly change colors like this. Especially when it starts turning itself into a deep crimson color like this." Soren stated with a worried expression, as he was starting to get a bad feeling about the crimson panel. After swallowing his own saliva nervously, he decided to try his own name, as a last resort and prayed to every god that he knew of, hoping for the best. After a few seconds, the next panel put nearly all of his current worries to rest.
