Currently, Han Yu is not focusing on assisting the Fishery Administration in combating illegal eel fry fishing but is assisting Binjiang Port Supervision, Dongqi City Transportation Bureau Port and Navigation Supervision Station, and East Sea City Zhuangming County Port and Navigation Supervision Station in ensuring the smooth navigation of the Yangtze River Lower reaches, Sanhe section, and Yangtze River North Branch Channel.

It seems hard to believe, but after nearly nine years of work, despite the bolstering economic development on both banks of the Yangtze River Lower, the actual number of boats conducting water patrols and law enforcement along the Yangtze River waterfront section has not increased but decreased compared to before.

Previously, the Water Police Division and Changhang Bureau had several motorboats, but these had to be scrapped due to serving too long, even the fiberglass speedboat donated by Boss Wu to Director Yu was out of service.

The Port Supervision Bureau did acquire two supervision boats in these years, but now with the implementation of "separated waterway navigation" new rules, every channel section requires supervision boat patrols and command, thereby leaving no capacity to join forces with the Fishery Administration for law enforcement.

For the entire Yangtze River waterfront section and the North Branch Waters from Bailong Port to the sea outlet, vessel 001 still serves as the main force in water law enforcement, and this situation is expected to change only after the three patrol boats currently being built by the Changhang Bureau and the Water Police Division are commissioned.

As for the fire and rescue boat that Changhang Bureau sold to Linghai, once the waterway shipyard completes its construction and hands it over to Linghai Port, it will mainly serve as a port tugboat, only enhancing the fire-fighting capabilities in the Binjiang Waters, as corporate tugs can't be used for patrol law enforcement.

Over one hundred kilometers of waterways, local police combined with Changhang navigation police's three enforcement patrol boats are not enough!

After concluding this year's "eel fishing battle," Han Yu, utterly exhausted, returned to Sanhe intending to rest before warmly consulting Deputy Mayor Shen, hoping that, once the Port District develops, the Management Committee could further support the sub-bureau's efforts by equipping the Development Zone Branch with a police patrol boat.
