Chapter 2: A New Tomorrow? Part 1
"Light sword!"
A blinding light pierced everything in front of it, making a deep cut. Blood spilled onto the ground, and a hooded man fell to his knees before an armored man who prepared another blow.
"Why did you have to follow this path, Taiyõ?"
Darkness began to dominate, until only the glow of the sword remained, increasing and illuminating the entire cave.
Eyes flew open in pure terror, with heavy breathing and a racing heart, the young man found himself inside the tent, still lying on the bed next to a bench.
"What?, a dream... but it felt so real?"
Sitting up on the bed, his heart slowly slowed down until it returned to normal, and at that moment the young man noticed that the dirty plate had been removed from the bench.
"Excuse me."
A hand began to open the tent entrance and Thijou entered with a calm face, but when he stopped in front of the bed, it was as if seconds had stopped passing.
"I and the other elders have come to a decision."
"Decision? What decision?"
"Since you, young man, have no memories and are not of the holy force..."
The wait for the answer made the young man's heart race and his mind fill with negative thoughts.
"So we decided to take you in for a while."
This answer was a relief for the young man, but before he could say anything, Elder Thijou walked to the bench, leaving some clothes behind, smiled, and walked away.
"Oh, almost forgot, we're waiting for you in 10 minutes in the center of the village, just go straight ahead and turn right."
As he left the tent, Rosary was there, Thijou's granddaughter who had been waiting for her grandfather, with a serious and doubtful expression.
"So?"
"So what? Rosary."
"What do you mean? Did he like the clothes?"
Her face blushed after asking the question and inside the tent the young man looked at the clothes with a slight smile.
"How should I know, granddaughter?"
"What!?"
"Be careful or he'll hear you."
Center of the village.
The afternoon sun could be seen in the sky, while in the village all the villagers were in front of the fountain, with Thijou talking to a man and a woman, with the young man to their left.
"My people!!!"
Silence fell over everyone and Thijou could be seen in the center with the other elders, to his right was Rosary, a man with his white hair tied in a bun, to the right of Rosary was a woman with her white hair intertwined.
"Today we will have a new member in our village, come forward Gachuti."
The young man walked to Thijou's side, standing between Thijou and the man with the bun, but clearly the young man was confused.
"Gachuti??"
"Yes, since you don't remember your name, I thought of a new one for you, of course if the young man wants."
"Okay, I'll take it, but what does it mean?"
"Gachuti means Man without memories."
