Being Reincarnated with my Beast King System

Chapter 42: First Encounter

*Axel's POV*

*GRRAAHH*

Jeeves roared as his attack slammed powerfully against the barrier. It rippled and shook like it was going to break but in the end it had held strong without even cracking.

"I told you Gerard you wont be able to break this barrier. It is powered by the deaths of numerous beast. Whoever it is controlling these beast is in there and so is that piece of wolverine shite prince."

Darren spoke with an edge to his tone that let us all know the man was no longer playing around like he had for the last 20 hours. Still the fact that this barrier was here concerned myself and Lozen greatly. We had been utilizing Jeeves and Darren's power to move through the forest at supersonic speeds but I still noticed it. The surroundings were becoming more and more familiar.

I looked at Lozen and saw the unease in her eyes, The cave her pack had made the den had been just beyond the barrier. I reached over and ran my hand across her side before speaking.

"Lozen, your mother is incredibly strong, from what I remember she should be about as strong as Darren or maybe even stronger."

"*SIGH* I know master but I cant help but worry she is my Mother and I know I would have fallen under the callings power if it wasn't for you. What if she has already fallen or worse what if they..."

Lozen didn't finish her words and I didn't need her too. If the Silver Fenrir fought back against the calling she could possibly end up dead or completely stripped of her ego for all eternity being forced to succumb as a mindless servant for the rest of her life.

Shaking those dark thoughts off I turned to Darren and raised a brow.

"Don't think we don't know how strong you are old man. You need to break it now, not after we walk away from here."

He looked at me for a moment before clicking his tongue in annoyance.

"Tch, fine but don't blame me for not trying to keep you all safe."

"We do not need to be protected uncle. Axel protects us just fine."

Silvara spoke up finally seemingly sending another arrow straight into her uncle's heart. His own Hell Hounds started laughing at him seeing him taking another critical hit from her.

With his head down and pouting slightly, which was a very unbecoming look for him, Darren walked up to the barrier and poked it with a glowing finger. After his simple poke, the entire barrier seemed to shatter like glass. Something that not even Jeeves could destroy was taken down by just a finger from this man.

I heard Jeeves click his tongue and mutter about his past injuries before he walked ahead of me. I didn't mind because I was frozen in place sensing all of the despair, blood, and death permeating my senses.

To my horror I felt the aura of Lozen's mother and she felt wrong like something had done something very evil to her. My only hope is if I can help her break free from whatever it is that is controlling her.

"Darren and Jeeves you two will handle whoever it is that is controlling these beast. I will do what I can to break them free of their hold."

Neither man question me and just nodded their heads in understanding. The both seemed to faze out of existence with a couple of Darren's Hell Hounds. The rest were left behind and I saw them all fall in line with Lozen, Amani, and Silvara's Dire Wolves.

I turned to the girls about to ask them to stay here in a tree so they would be safe but before I could speak I was caught by the sight of them all holding weapons not even paying attention to me.

"Come on ladies time to go help the beast." With that we moved forward through the darkness that seemed unnatural.

I could hear the snarling and growling of beasts in the darkness but they still didn't come towards us as we moved forward. As I walked forward my heart started to sink as I felt Lozen's Mother's aura, it felt weak, sick, and twisted, making me wonder if the worst had happened.

I had already transformed into my Beast King Form so I could see a bit better then some of the women in my group making me one of the first to see a figure of something large masked by the darkness.

We halted our advancement and in an instinctual move Lozen, Amani, Greta, her mother, the strongest of the Hell Hounds, and myself all stepped forward to face our first encounter head on. I wanted to help the beast break free so I was going to have to assess the situation on the fly.

*GRRRR*

A deep and guttural growl emanated from the darkness and just like I thought I recognized that growl very well.

Lozen responded to the growl with one of her own and it seemed to provoke the one shrouded in shadows.

*STEP*STEP*STEP*

Every step she took as she walked out of the shadows sounded like thunder in my ears. As her body started coming into view I felt my heart clench at the sight of her. Her once beautiful silver fur was starting to fall out in patches revealing skin underneath that was tainted with her poisoned blood turning black. As her head came into view I finally new how I was going to have to save her.

On her forehead there was a symbol that seemed to be the source of her corruption but I realized the in the next moment that I was wrong and I was right. All along her spine seemed to have spines of black magic placed, pulsing with power that seemed to fight her will and directly controlled her body while poisoning her mind.

Behind me I heard the girls gasp out loud covering their mouths. Turing my head I saw them turning away not wanting to see the scene in front of them.

"Girls I know it is hard to see but I need you to focus! You will all back us up with magic from the rear. Lozen, Amani, and the rest of the beast, I am going to need to try and distract her. I will find an opportunity to get on her and try to remove the sources of her corruption."

"Do you think that will be enough to break her free Axel?" Mia asked in an uncharacteristically serious tone for her.

I thought for a moment and asked Sylph if my idea was right. To my surprise though I heard nothing from Sylph even after calling out to her over and over again. It worried me, but I had to concentrate on one problem at a time.

"I just think it will... I am going on instincts here right now. If I see that I cant do it we will all retreat I promise."

Mia looked into my eyes for a moment before she nodded. I could see the trust she was putting in me and the love she seemed to have in her pink eyes at that moment.

Quickly our companion beasts shot forward with a speed hard to follow. Lozen having grown her body to be three times the size of her mother along with Amani who had done the same, slammed into her side to knock her off balance.

She toppled quickly and was trying to rise just as fast but the others were already there trying to pin her to the ground as she thrashed. I watched as Greta and her mother were tossed off of the leg they were trying to pin an flew at least 3 meters.

Amani and Lozen jumped on top of her with Amani taking her dangerous head and getting bit pretty badly ending up with multiple lacerations on her face. With a roar Amani Swatted her head down after getting angry and she held her head down with a paw placing significant weight on her head. Lozen had laid her body across her mothers holding her down with all of her weight as well.

Finally I saw Leah use her control over the trees to have massive roots come from the ground and slowly wrap themselves around Lozen's mother's limbs holding her in place so I could get closer to her.

As I approached she squirmed and growled at me showing her teeth in what I assume she felt was a threatening posture. I paid her no attention though as I was concentrating on how I was supposed to get rid of these sources of corruption.

Not having any better idea I covered my hand in a layer of elemental mana, a mixture of light fire to try and remove it. To my consternation though it just bounce my hand backwards like it had a resistance to mana.

Shaking my head I thought for a moment before I said,' Fuck it' under my breath and I reached my hand forward this time without any mana coating it.

"NO!"

"Stop Axel don't touch that!"

"You have no idea what that thing will do if you touch it!"

I heard the girls all hollering behind me so I stopped my advance just next to the dark symbol that seemed to be controlling the Silver Fenrir. As I turned my head back to talk to the girls for a second, the Silver Fenrir used as much strength as she could muster and shoved her head onto my hand. My hand just so happened to touch in the dead center of the mark.

Quickly my vision faded to darkness for a moment before I could see light slowly entering my sight. Slowly I saw a beautiful women that had cute wolf like ears on the top of her head. She wore a skimpy little silver dress that did nothing to his her voluptuous figure from view. her nipples were protruding from underneath the fabric making me think about what she would look like without anything on. She had short silver fur running across her body smoothly in graceful patterns along with a cute tail slowly moving side to side behind her. Her silver grey eyes locked on my figure in confusion.

What really caught my sight was the black shadow beast that was beside her whispering in her ear telling her something I just couldn't quite make out. One thing was sure though whatever he was saying was not something in my favor.

The creature had the same dark aura as the corruption on her body in the real world. Not thinking much of it I tried to conjure my power to have nothing happen at all.

The silver woman looked in my direction having probably felt what I was trying to do. Fury quickly etched itself across her face.

"Enough, you damn humans always trying to hurt my family now you come directly for me! Tell me what have you done with my daughter! Why hasn't she come home yet? I know that you are to blame! I am telling you know if you have harmed her in any way I will slaughter you and anyone you hold precious."

Her words pissed me off and I growled out," You dumb bitch, Lozen is holding your body down in the real world right now. I am trying to get rid of the disgusting darkness right next to you."

*SKRREEEEE*

The dark creature screeched loudly at me, the sound piercing my ears making them feel like they were going to burst. I didn't bother trying to cover my ears. I grit my teeth through the pain and charged the creature, quickly our bodies collided next to the Silver Fenrir.

She watched as I tried with all of my might to over power the creature, but it was a losing battle for me so when I caught her eye with my own I hollered out asking for her help.

"Please help me, I cannot do this without your help! We have to defeat this thing to free you and then you can see Lozen again." She seemed to ponder my words falling deep into thought all the while the creature has dug its claws into me over and over again completely over powering me with magic and brute strength while I could summon none of my power in this place.

Blood kept falling from my mouth as I tried to keep standing and fighting. It felt like hours passed in this manner before finally I saw a brilliant silver glowing outline of a Silver Fenrir illuminated the shadows with its presence. I then heard soft footsteps approaching me from behind before a soft and heavenly feeling landed against my back as soft arms encircled my body from behind.

"Thank you for coming here and trying but I think it was to early for you to try this... Let me show you why I am called a overlord in this forest."
