POV Hydra Agent Tim

I was assigned to one of our few bases in the US. I was on gate guard duty and it was proving to be boring as usual.

Bill: "Another quiet day huh?"

Tim: "Yeah, I mean there isn't even anything around here other than mountains."

Bill: "And a forest guess."

Tim: "Yeah. Wait did you hear that?"

Bill: "Hear what?"

Tim: "That! It sounds like thumping or something."

Bill: "Hmm, I don't think I heard anything. Are you sure you're not just hearing things? I hear we can make up noises when it is too quiet."

Faint Thump

Tim: "There it is again. Are you sure you didn't hear that?"

Bill: "Huh, yeah I heard it that time. What do think it is?"

Tim: "Not sure. Should we call it in?"

Bill: "I suppose it wouldn't hurt."

As I was about to report it I heard a whistle. I put a finger in my ear to make sure I was hearing it right.

I look up and I am confused at what I see.

BOOOM

POV General Thomas

I hear the explosion and then alarms go off. I try to figure out what just happened. I get a camera showing the attack site and what I see and hear confuses me.

???: "Human time is done! This is the age of the Super Mutant!"

Thomas: "Super Mutant? The hell?"

I shake out of my thoughts and focus on repelling this attack. The tanks and helicopters are launched but are blown up by what I can only guess are miniaturized Nuclear Warheads.

'Who the hell gave these things Nukes!?'

Thomas: "The enemy has breached sectors 1 through 4 all troops retreat to sector 5 to the chokepoints. Avoid clustering in groups as the enemy has high-yield explosives."

I watch as the Super Mutants rip through our defenses with brutal efficiency. I try to call for reinforcements but somehow the communication network is being jammed. I saw a video of several of my men being cut in half but before I could even look at what killed them I heard a scream from down the hall. Followed by lots of gunfire.

???: "Bleed! Bleed and die!"

The screams and gunfire go for a few seconds but then it gets quiet.

???: "Here human, human, human. I got a treat for you!"

I press the panic button over and over again and retreat to the panic room. As the door closes I hear them talking again.

Mutant: "I knew it! I'm gonna tear you apart!"

Soldier: "No! No, wait! AHHHHHHHHHH!"

I hear the sounds of flesh being torn and then the screams stop. I connect to the outside cameras and what I see is shocking. There is blood and guts everywhere but no Super Mutants. As I look closer I hear them talk again but I still don't see them.

Mutant 1: "Brother is one of these humans the leader?"

Mutant 2: "No brother they not have stars. The human is hiding. Master wants him. We capture him."

Mutant 3: "Be quiet you imbeciles. The human leader is listening to us. Now look for the door to his hiding place."

Mutant 1: "Yes, brother."

Mutant 3: "Idiots all of them. General Thomas. Why don't come out I promise you will be unharmed. Or you can hide in your room which will upset my brothers. And when they get angry they get hungry. I can't control them that well when they are hungry."

I swallow hard and shudder at the thought of what will happen to me if they capture me. I enable the speaker and respond to them.

Thomas: "Cut one head off and two more will take its place. HAIL HYDRA!"

I use the suicide pill and activate a thermite grenade to prevent them from taking my body.

POV Gus

Gus: "A shame we couldn't take him alive. But his death will still please the Master. You 2 go find and kill every human you can find."

Nightkin: "Yes, Brother!"

Gus: "I hate working with those idiots but it's Master Will."

POV Rio

I watched from a distance at the Hydra/Shield Base that the Super Mutants have taken over. I had been busy evacuating the area to prevent civilians from getting caught in the battle. I created many Wood Clones and had them appear as if they were wearing Black X-01 Power Armor. It was time to clean up these Mutants. I started by summoning the Gunship and Juggernaut. I also had the Raiju in stealth mode helping with CAS.

Rio: "Send in the Daladas."

(AN: Play VILLAGER NEWS: WAR! (Animation) on YouTube from 7:10 to 7:50 for a visual and audio of the Daladas. There are numerous versions. The Thanos one is amusing. )

I see the numerous explosions and I start sending in the troops. The Gunship was first to arrive and start laying down suppressive fire. The ground troops used Plasma and Laser weapons. Several Vertibirds fly and attack the Behemoths. My Wood Clones can sense the Nightkin preventing them from flanking us. I got involved heavily as well. I needed the XP. But because we were going to use videos of this to make Shield/Hydra butt heads with the US Government.

Super Mutant: "You humans made us! Now suffer for your arrogance!"

I shot the Super Mutant in the head and vaporized it. I was disguised as Col Autumn. I was carrying a Spartan Laser and a Railgun.

POV Air Traffic Control

ATC 1: "Sir! We have a confirmed Russian Mi-24 Hind airborne in US Airspace!"

Capt. Johnson: "What!? Are you certain?"

ATC 1: "We are absolutely certain. The AWACS has confirmed the radar signature is of a Mi-24 Hind. It is being picked up in Northern California."

Capt. Johnson: "What do we have in the area?"

ATC 1: "There is a base listed under Shields command."

Capt. Johnson: "I will call the general."

A Few Minutes Later...

Capt. Johnson: "We have authorization to scramble Jets. Get them in the air."

POV Rio

I got a report that the US Air Force was launching Jets and I was a little annoyed but the Hind was the only Aircraft we had that wasn't stealthy. I decided to have Raiju 1 and 2 take out the enemy Aircraft. I called in another Daladas attack before I led the troops to do one final push.

POV Raiju 1

Raiju 1: "This is Raiju 1 orders received loud and clear moving to intercept the enemy. Raiju 2 take the bogey 3 and 4 I got 1 and 2."

Raiju 2: "Copy that targeting now. Missiles away. Coming around for another run."

Raiju 1: "Bogeys 1, 2, and 3 confirmed down. Bogey 4 shots trashed. Confirmed shoots for down aircraft."

POV Bogey 4

Venom 4: "Venom 1 to 3 are shot down. I repeat Venom 1 to 3 are shot down. Shots from point 280. I don't have a visual."

WD: "Venom 4 we are picking up no contacts."

Venom 4: "Incoming Missiles Defending West!"

I launch flares and bank right to avoid the missiles. It takes out most of the missiles but one gets through and I am hit.

Venom 4: "This is Venom 4 I'm hit. Mayday Mayday Mayday. Bailing out!"

WD: "Copy that Venom 4 Bailout Bailout!"

POV Raiju 1

Raiju 1: "Bogey 4 down confirmed good shoots. Resetting to CAS mission."

POV Rio

We had managed to push out the Super Mutants from the base but the Super Mutants surprisingly retreated. Leaving the Behemoths to cover them. We didn't pursue them as they were trying to lead us into a trap. I checked our losses.

'1 Vertibird, 6 Hinds, 3 Juggernauts, and 274 Wood Clones.'

I started cleaning up the remains as I couldn't leave any DNA behind in case someone got a sample of FEV. At least the Coprses can be studied or turned into superior Undead and surprisingly the System will by the bodies of Super Mutants. 10 Points per Super Mutant, 100 per Nightkin, 1000 per Behemoth, and more points based on how strong the Mutant was and the condition of the body.

3 Hours Later...

Rio: "That is the last of the traces of FEV or Mutants. Now let's start the final assault on the Master's Cathedral."

I summon more Clones as we will have to take the area surrounding the Cathedral and the massive complex below the Cathedral. I led the army again but this time some Spartans and Robots joined me. Clearing out the surface was the easy part. The Master had sent only a small portion of his Army to the surface. Which was the logical choice. Once the surface was cleared I had the Spartans maintain control of the surface while I went down with the Clones and Robots. The reason was because I knew that the Master would blow up the Cathedral with us in it.

Rio: "Let's get this over with."

It took over 4 hours but we managed to clear out most of the facility. What remained was the Master's chambers and his guards. I blew open the doors and started killing everything that moved. Once the dust settled I saw that all that remained was the door to the Master.

Master: "You see the Master of the Super Mutants. Now what brings the Enclave here?"

Rio: "To remove the Super Mutant threat."

Master: "What threat? The Unity will bring about the master race. Master! Master! One able to survive, or even thrive, in the wasteland. As long as there are differences, we will tear ourselves apart fighting each other. We need one race. Race! Race! One goal. Goal! Goal! One people . . . to move forward to our destiny. Destiny."

Rio: "But surely you have seen that there is no wasteland out there."

Master: "Indeed there is no wasteland. Yet. Yet! The humans will bring about the apocalypse. They are inferior. Mutants are best equipped to deal with the world today and in the future. This will be the age of mutants. Mutants."

Rio: "But everything you are doing is pointless. Super Mutants cannot reproduce."

Master: "Preposterous! The FEV-2 virus doesn't destroy the reproductive organs of those it mutates."

Rio: "I am not lying look at this Autopsy report."

Master: "I must digest this information. One moment . . . I understand now. You made a clever forgery. You made this up to fool me. Fool! Me!"

Rio: "Really now? Do you really believe that or are you trying to lie to yourself?"

Master: "But it cannot be. This would mean that all my work has been for nothing. Everything that I have tried to . . . a failure! It can't be. Be. Be. Be."

Rio: "Sorry but the Super Mutant Race was doomed from the start."

Master: "I . . . don't think that I can continue. Continue? To have done the things I have done in the name of progress and healing. It was madness. I can see that now. Madness. Madness? There is no hope. Leave now, leave while you still have hope . . ."

Rio: "What will you do?"

Master: "My existence is pointless. I want you to kill me and then destroy this facility. Will you do that? That. That?"

Rio: "Of course. I will make it painless."

I use the force and put him to rest before I have the clones deep clean this facility. Once that is done I start setting up the facility to look like it is an Enclave Research facility. I even added memories to specific government officials so they had memories of this facility. I added enough memories that they should come to stop Shield/Hydra from taking the facility. I also made sure that all data was copied and then destroyed from all the computers. Then I made it look like we were in a rush to leave as Shield and the Army arrived. Hawkeye saw our Vertibirds leaving but was unable to follow us.

'Mission Complete.'

Authors Note:

The reason why Rio let the Military, Shield, etc know about the Super Mutants is to cause more friction and separation between the different factions. And make them waste resources looking for another group that doesn't exist. The next chapter will be about the rewards and using an item that I couldn't find and thought I didn't add.
