Chapter 50: “Ultimate Power: Oblivion Nova!”
"Supreme Form: Violeta Angel!"
Like its name, Violeta was a mechanical angel standing tall and imposing, emanating a faint violet glow. It had no head, and of course, no mouth—no one knew where its voice came from, but it resounded loud and shrill, as if it came from beyond the world itself, shaking the very spirit of those who heard it.
Aboli flapped her wings lightly, lowered her gaze toward Violeta, narrowed her eyes, and said softly, "Outsider, this oversized pile of junk of yours might at least provide me with a little amusement."
Violeta let out a piercing, echoing shriek. Its body was enormous, yet its speed was not the slightest bit slow.
Its six pairs of wings beat simultaneously, releasing tremendous energy, lifting it into the air as it shot straight toward Aboli!
Its scythe swung down in a horizontal slash, aiming precisely to pierce through Aboli's body.
"Boom! Bang! Ongggggg!"
Explosions rang out across the sky. A silver magic circle blocked the tip of the scythe, but the violent energy fluctuation triggered a blast. Violeta's scythe emitted a continuous shriek—if ordinary people had been here, they would never have withstood that sound and would have collapsed instantly.
"Die!"
Violeta suddenly roared, and at that very moment, the clash of energies between them intensified. Sparks burst forth, colliding wildly, almost as if they were about to transform into countless lightning bolts!
"Crackkkk!"
Suddenly, the sound of something shattering resounded. Aboli's magic circle broke into fragments. Her eyes widened as the sharp tip of Violeta's scythe struck her body, sending her flying!
A streak of light split apart the clouds, and Aboli's figure was gone. But right after, a sharp "whoosh" tore through the air, as if something was ripping the atmosphere apart at unimaginable speed!
Aboli folded her wings and shot back, surrounded by enormous, radiant spears. She halted abruptly, lifting both wings and arms forward. The spears shot forth at impossible speed, thrusting straight at Violeta!
But Violeta was faster still. Its scythe swept through them, instantly shattering the radiant spears. Even the torrents of light exploding outward couldn't so much scratch Violeta's armor.
It continued to soar higher and higher. The fierce winds surrounding it split the heavens apart, leaving a gaping hole in the sky. Radiance cascaded down onto its massive form.
It was ready for a single strike. A fatal strike!
Its wings spread wide, spanning an entire sky, while the earth below was as insignificant as ants before it.
And still, its wings kept expanding—larger, larger, ever larger!
The metallic rings on its wings vibrated with a ceaseless hum, as though they might erupt at any moment.
Or perhaps, it was already ready to explode!
"Clack! Clack! Clack! Clack!"
The metallic rings began to spin, their energy resembling a miniature universe, primed for an unstoppable supernova detonation. Violeta's scythe rose high, wrapped entirely in overwhelming energy, lightning coiling around it like a pillar extending to the heavens!
"Burn every ounce of energy in my body—unleash the power that will shatter the entire continent!"
"Ultimate Power: Oblivion Nova!"
Violeta's scythe descended, aimed straight at Aboli! She couldn't dodge; she could only face it head-on.
Her body was instantly crushed into the ground, the impact gouging out a massive crater beneath her.
All the metallic vortexes on Violeta's wings flared open. The moment the scythe struck the earth, a massive shockwave erupted, carrying unimaginable heat. A second later, the entire land exploded!
Countless multicolored spheres burst apart in dazzling brilliance, a torrent of radiant hues blasting more than ten meters high. They blazed with scorching, resplendent light, engulfing the entire Aurellan family estate in a spectacular explosion.
The radiant colors clashed against each other. It might have been a breathtakingly beautiful sight if not for the rocks, debris, and the earth-shattering rumble!
"Boom! Bang! Bang! Bang!"
The ground split wide open. The Aurellan family's territory collapsed entirely, and the land was overturned. Beyond the estate, the tremors were so violent that towering buildings crumbled like dominoes, and the once-magnificent city swiftly became a wasteland.
The brilliant explosion raged on for over five minutes before it finally subsided, leaving only lingering streaks of radiant light suspended in the air. The land had turned into nothing but a scorched, shattered wasteland.
Hovering above, Violeta's scythe dissolved into light, slowly vanishing as though liquid was seeping back into its body.
Looking down, only a vast crater remained, over ten meters in radius and more than five meters deep at its center. Aboli's figure was gone—only a few scattered feathers lay on the ground, some burned entirely to ash.
"Clack… clack… clack!"
Violeta's wings shifted heavily as it turned, its intent fixed toward Louis's body. Louis was protected; he would undoubtedly be unharmed. Louis had to follow—it was necessary. Though in truth, Violeta itself could barely recall why.
Yet its instinct persisted.
But at that very moment, a hoarse voice suddenly echoed from within the shattered crater:
"Hey… we're not done yet."
"Clack… clack!"
Violeta stiffly turned back. Though it had no face, one could almost feel its shock.
"Ha… ha ha ha! Ha ha ha!"
From within the crater's depths, a figure emerged—it was none other than Aboli.
Her wings had been burned bare, no different from a roasted chicken. Her flesh was no exception; now she was little more than a skeleton draped with ruined meat. The halo above her head was shattered into fragments.
And yet—she had not died. Every cell in her body was regenerating, restoring itself at a speed beyond imagination.
Aboli even flapped her wings—those tattered, ruined wings—and yet they still carried her into the sky!
"Boom!"
Violeta suddenly raised her hand. The cloak formed from countless razor-sharp swords rose with it, and one blade shot straight toward Aboli. She didn't even lift her arm; a magic circle intercepted the sword, and at the same time, light once again enveloped her.
She widened her eyes at Violeta—or rather, she didn't need to anymore, for her eyes were nearly bulging out of their sockets without flesh to hold them in.
Her stiff joints cracked as she moved, her voice cold and sharp:
"You think you're the only one with a Supreme Form? Pathetic inferior being!"
She threw her head back toward the heavens as soon as she finished. A storm of energy erupted from her, centered on her body, powerful enough to shove Violeta's massive frame backward. By instinct, Violeta raised its arms to shield against the terrifying surge.
At the heart of the storm, Aboli laughed maniacally:
"Let me show you! You insignificant creatures crawling like ants in this world—you should feel honored to breathe the same air as me!"
Streams of light climbed across her body, then manifested into the shape of three pairs of wings on her back. Finally, they burst forth, shattering the radiance that had bound them—three pairs of wings spanning over five meters. And yet, Aboli's body remained the same size.
Veils of radiant light wrapped around her arms, stretching into infinity. Pale silver feathers sprouted from her flesh, and her hair had turned into a blazing cascade of brilliance, endless and dazzling.
The halo above her head blazed like a crown so that bright none could look upon it directly.
"The heir of Zone 1 is here—the strongest of this era, the sovereign of this age stands before you!"
Aboli raised both hands. At the same time, her six pairs of wings, once folded, flared wide and stood upright.
Energy engulfed her wings, like argent flames. Above the sky, a colossal halo appeared, resembling a magic circle, radiating an eerie and chilling presence. Alongside rolling thunder and the shuddering of space itself came Aboli's distant, imperious voice:
"Supreme Form: Epoch Sovereign!"
