Chapter 21: Female Has To Fatten Up
Upon returning to the cavern, Shu Jintian sat leaning against the wall. Shu Hanyu was still in a half-asleep state. With half-lidded eyes, he wrapped around the female and soon fell asleep.
Shu Jintian had his fill of sleep and lazily leaned against the cavern wall. Since Shu Hanyu was wrapped around him, he smoothly laid Shu Hanyu’s head on his legs.
The night pearl enveloped the entire cavern with a layer of faint purple radiance, as bright as an unclouded full moon. Shu Hanyu seemed to dislike this bright illumination and buried his head in Shu Jintian’s legs, continuing to sleep heavily.
Shu Jintian was planning on how he should escape. Scenarios of him escaping, such as finding an excuse to make the big snake go out or so on, were outlined in his mind, and he didn’t feel bored just sitting there.
When the horizon was imbued with white, the soft purple glow silently became replaced by sunlight.
The morning fog drifted over between the gaps of the forest, the threads floating into the cavern. The fresh and clean air brought a dense moisture, which felt cool when inhaled into the lungs.
The forest gradually came to life as birds chirped and insect cries slowly came through, disturbing Shu Hanyu’s good dream.
Shu Hanyu yawned and lifted his head from Shu Jintian’s legs. His emerald green eyes were permeated with a layer of moisture, his gleaming irises glinting with clear water traces.
Shu Hanyu shifted his body and raised his head to look at the female.
Shu Jintian had unconsciously become sleepy again, and now was fast asleep. However, he wasn’t in a very deep sleep, and dazedly, he felt something touching his body arbitrarily.
Shu Jintian opened his eyes and immediately saw a magnified face. The emerald green eyes that had patterns of dark green were still continuing to approach him. It was only when his somewhat chapped lips were licked by a cool forked tongue that Shu Jintian abruptly woke up.
“You’re awake ah; good morning!” As Shu Jintian spoke, he stretched, seamlessly avoiding Shu Hanyu’s tongue.
“En! Is Tiantian hungry? I’ll go catch something for you to eat.” Shu Hanyu used a hand to pinch Shu Jintian’s waist and felt that the female was still so thin, without a bit of meat growing. The female really ate too little, so he should feed him more food.
Shu Jintian’s eyes brightened and he nodded his head repeatedly. “Sure ah. You hurry up and go ba, I’ll wait for you!”
Shu Hanyu nibbled on Shu Jintian’s jaw, saying vaguely, “Let’s go together, I’ll catch what you want to eat.”
“I’ll go I’ll go, you ease up ah.”
The two of them exited the cave. and Shu Hanyu turned into a snake, curling round Shu Jintian and speedily shuttling through the forest, and he soon caught a healthy prey.
Shu Jintian leaned against Shu Hanyu’s body and contracted his rear hole. His butt was still pained, then he recalled that he wanted to find some fruits.
“I want to eat wild fruits. Let’s go find fruits ba!”
Shu Hanyu felt that the female was this thin because he ate these sort of unfilling things, so he didn’t really want to let him eat them. However, the female seemed to like it a lot, so he should just pick it less often ba.
Shu Hanyu hesitated a little, then extended his forked tongue in response, and brought Shu Jintian to find a few wild fruits.
Shu Hanyu brought Shu Jintian to travel around the forest, and soon found a few fruit trees. When Shu Jintian saw it, he surprisingly realised that it was a grape tree. The grape tree’s sturdy roots had a thickness the size of a bowl, and there were dense vines growing upwards, winding and curling, crawling through all the nearby bushes.
After Shu Jintian arrived here, he hadn’t seen any recognisable objects. Now that he saw a familiar fruit, he realised suddenly how much of a difference this strange world’s things had with the place he used to live in.
Though the grape tree was large, the grapes grown on it were pitifully small, as well as unripe. Over half of the bunches of grapes were still green. Shu Jintian picked two bunches that were slightly more ripe to take away, and planned to wait for the grapes to ripen before he plucked all of them. If he couldn’t finish them, he could brew grape wine, or dry them in the sun to make raisins.
After finding food, Shu Hanyu wrapped around Shu Jintian and returned to the cavern.
Today’s prey was something Shu Jintian had eaten before; the meat was very tough when roasted. Consequently, he planned to change the cooking method and cook it in the shell before eating.
Shu Jintian chopped off a large piece of meat with a dagger, leaving the rest for Shu Hanyu to eat. Just like before, Shu Hanyu ignored that meat and put the remaining meat at the side, planning to wait until the female ate his fill before he ate the leftovers.
Shu Jintian had become very skilled in cooking, and soon finished cooking edible food. However, the flavour of the meat boiled in fresh water was still no better than being roasted. It felt as if he was chewing wooden chips.
Once an eldest young master who was a picky eater, he now had thoroughly lost his previous temperament, and gobbled up the absolutely tasteless meat with furrowed brows.
Shu Jintian chewed the food in large bites, thinking that he should bring more seafood out next time. If cooked with meat, it should probably be flavoured.
“Eating so little and you’re full?” Shu Hanyu touched the female’s stomach, a little dissatisfied.
Shu Jintian wiped his lips, plucked off a small fruit and tossed it into his mouth. The sour grape juice exploded in his mouth, and it was so sour that he grimaced, his face scrunching up like a steamed bun.
“Mn, I’m full. There’s still so much meat ne, you should quickly eat it. It won’t be fresh if left for too long.”
This grape really was goddamn sour. Shu Jintian then picked a redder grape to try. En, the red grapes were still fine.
Shu Hanyu pinched Shu Jintian’s waist, feeling a little helpless. The female had always been this thin, what should he do? He had to hurry and make up for it, and raise him to be a little bigger. Even the females he had previously seen were bigger than Tiantian by a size.
“Does Tiantian not like to eat?”
Shu Jintian pressed Shu Hanyu’s hand that was pinching him, his black and glossy eyes turning. “Yes ah
, eating this meat every day, I’m sick of eating it.”Sure enough, it was like this! Shu Hanyu asked, “Then what do you want to eat? Tell me and I’ll catch it.”
Shu Jintian was very pleasantly surprised. Just as he was thinking about how to send away the snake, he ran directly into the solution.
With gleaming eyes, Shu Jintian looked at Shu Hanyu and said, “Anything is fine. The mushroom from the sea yesterday is pretty tasty; you bring some back for me ba.”
Shu Hanyu nodded and said, “Then it’s decided, let’s go there now ba!”
Shu Jintian said, “Ah? I’m not going ba!”
As expected, Shu Hanyu didn’t agree, pulling Shu Jintian’s hand as he said, “That won’t do, you come with me.”
“But… My eyes hurt. When I get better, we’ll go again, okay? Next time, next time I’ll definitely go!” Shu Jintian blinked, then even rubbed his eyes with his hand.
Actually, his eyes had recovered at some unknown point in time, and was now extremely fine.
Shu Hanyu was a little hesitant, and was uneasy about the female being alone at home. However, pinching Shu Jintian’s waist that had no meat, he finally ended up nodding.
“Then Tiantian has to obediently stay in the hole, you can’t go out.” After hesitating for a while, Shu Hanyu continued to say, “There’s actually another beastman here; a dangerous male. You have to be careful at home. No matter what you hear, you can’t let out a sound and obediently wait at home for me, understand?”
Shu Jintian was very curious and excitedly asked, “There’s someone else here? What kind?”
Shu Hanyu’s face immediately became chilly, and he tightened his grasp on Shu Jintian’s hand. Coldly, he said, “Why are you asking so much?”
Shu Jintian was shocked and immediately shut his mouth. So it turned out that that person was the one who made Shu Hanyu fearful? Who on earth was that person who could make the valiant python so cautious?
Shu Jintian was curious, but he no longer asked questions and smiled fawningly at Shu Hanyu.
“I understand. Then you should go ba, I’ll wait in the cave for you.”
Shu Hanyu’s expression eased a little and he quietly hummed in response and sent Shu Jintian down the hole. Before leaving, he looked at the opposite bank of the river, spitting out his forked tongue to sense the scent in the air. After confirming that the scent had turned faint, he left, reassured.
Shu Jintian watched Shu Hanyu’s departing figure from the bottom of the cavern, raising his head to form a sincere smile.
“Walk carefully ah! Be careful on the road ah; leave early and return early ah!”
When Shu Hanyu heard him, his icy expression eased and the corner of his lips curled upwards unconsciously, revealing an enticing arc.
