The departing Ding Yan was clearly unaware that the new Breeders in Huaiyang Province were undergoing a 'life and death' trial.

He had enthusiastically followed Su Ping into the laboratory.

Old Liu shot the man a disdainful look. That bastard truly never missed an opportunity to poach talent.

Old Liu waved his hand dismissively. "The Jianghai Breeder Association really isn't short on this kind of expenditure. Xiao Sun, go notify all the major canine bases to send two experimental subjects each to Laboratory 002, along with the corresponding Magic Potions and resources."

Sun Chaoju nodded, took out his mobile phone, and walked out. He returned shortly after. "Teacher," he reported, "they will be delivered in three minutes. However, the Shadow Wolf base has no spare Pet Beasts at the moment. Mu Hang borrowed them for his breeding base and hasn't returned them yet."

Mu Hang was the Shadow Wolf specialty Breeder who had been with Sun Chaoju when Su Ping first attended Liu Fuhai's class.

Missing one wasn't a huge deal.

However, Ding Yan clicked his tongue, and Liu Fuhai's expression soured. "What's going on here?" he asked. "Where is Mu Hang? What if this adjunct Magic Potion happens to conflict with the Shadow Wolves?"

Sun Chaoju scratched his head helplessly and replied, "Teacher, Mu Hang has been a bit busy lately and made a quick trip to Magic Capital. I'll call him in a bit, though, and have the people from his breeding base return the Shadow Wolves."

Su Ping also hurriedly waved his hand. "It's no big deal, one less won't hurt."

Old Liu's expression softened slightly. With nothing else to do, he followed up on the conversation, "What did he go to Magic Capital for?"

Sun Chaoju glanced at Ding Yan beside him, but this action only irritated Liu Fuhai more. "Spit it out!" he snapped. "That little rascal is thick as thieves with you. If you don't tell me, who else can I ask?"

Only then did Sun Chaoju speak softly, "Teacher, his father has returned. He's in Magic Capital!"

At these words, Liu Fuhai's expression subtly changed. The previous indifference wavered slightly, but he simply nodded and said no more.

Su Ping, watching this, became interested. Could this Breeder Mu Hang have an even more profound background?

It belonged to none other than the author of the Paperman Breeding Journal that Sun Chaoju had given him—the Senior Undead Breeder who started with full confidence, then eventually lost his composure in a fit of anger, leaving behind evaluations like "disgrace to the Necromancy System" and "a trash, defective Pet Beast that shouldn't even be considered part of the Necromancy System."

So this Breeder was still alive? Judging by that journal, Su Ping had been quite certain he had passed away long ago!

He hadn't expected that Mu Yu was not only still alive but also Mu Hang's father.

On reflection, it made sense. Su Ping hadn't made the connection before, but the surname Mu wasn't very common. Since they both came from the Jianghai Province Breeders Association, it was indeed highly probable for Breeders with the same surname to be related.

However, compared to the ever-smiling Mu Hang, Su Ping didn't hold that Senior Undead Breeder in high regard.

Two Snow Wolves and two Sand Wolves were the first to be delivered.

The resources were Ice System hexagonal snowflake crystals.
