It was only about a foot long, roughly as thick as a pinky, with a layer of mucus on its body surface. Its head had dozens of slender tendrils, stained with blood and brain matter, making it extremely disgusting.

This Corpse Control Insect presumably used these tendrils to manipulate corpses.

The Corpse Control Insect writhed incessantly, trying to escape from Lei Yao's grasp, and a spiritual fluctuation emanated from its body.
