Chapter 20: Chapter 20: Beyond Heaven Defying
No one is born perfect and the heavens are fair. Take Lu Zhen for instance, in his previous life, he was a lion born from the Heavens to bring peace and prosperity to all, he didn't encounter any bottlenecks in his cultivation but that in itself was detrimental to him and his future. He had less comprehension of the Dao and as a result, his cultivation was stuck at the peak of the Supreme Realm.
He also didn't have any talent in Alchemy, Refining, Forging, Weapons, Arrays Forming, he in fact didn't have talent for anything. This is why he doesn't have a weapon he specialises in because he'd never used one.
This is why he was so happy when he obtained a human body. The human body was mostly referred to as the Heaven Defying Body since humans were born weak but found ways to grow stronger as time went by. Humans were so heaven defying that they could create techniques from nothing, create weapons with anything usable, strengthen their bodies like beasts and much more but again, the Heavens are fair so they instilled greed to every human to limit their potential and growth. Human greed is insatiable and this is literally a fact.
Lu Zhen wondered if his body had any talent for alchemy but before anything else, he had to first get a cauldron and flame, not to mention an unlimited supply of mystic plants for practice.
…
Lu Zhen's days in the garden were quite peaceful. Everyone respected him due to his profound knowledge when it came to plants.
Lu Zhen then proceeded to sit in a lotus position and adjusted his breathing. He sat in this position for two hours before moving to another region. Everyone seemed to be now used to his odd behaviour but they couldn't help but wonder what he was doing and what he was planning on achieving.
Elder Rouxi transferred a large sum of points to Lu Zhen which speeded up his plan a bit. He used the contribution points given to him by Elder Rouxi to exchange for the Demonic White Lotus, Blood Replenishing Ginseng and the Vessels Strengthening Flower; he exchanged all his contribution points for these two. He bought them in bulks and everyone wondered what he was planning to do with them but they didn't bother to ask.
These two were not rare treasures so he exchanged for as many of them as he wanted. Although they were low in quality, he could make up for them in quantity. Lu Zhen also bought plants that could help him recover faster from his injuries.
…
Time quickly passed and before Lu Zhen realised, a month had passed and he was almost fully recovered. "Time to put my plan into motion." he mumbled. At night he sneaked into the core area where the Matriarch resided. Outer disciples were not allowed in the Inner area and Inner disciples were not allowed in the core area.
This encouraged disciples to work harder in their cultivation so as to see what it was like in the Inner and Core areas. Inner disciples were also given authority over Outer disciples, they could also order Outer disciples to do whatever they wanted as long as they didn't go overboard. Same thing applied for Inner and Core disciples.
Lu Zhen reached the courtyard. It was in a secluded mountain and was quite large. It had beautiful flowers planted all over and huge trees that constantly gave out fresh air. It was like an enchanted garden with fireflies lighting up his path. One would feel at peace if they lived in a place like this.
The fireflies led him to the training grounds where a beauty unlike any other was practising. Her moves were elegant and precise almost as if she was dancing. Lu Zhen was immediately captivated by her. Her hair cascaded down to her waist, curves that could move even gods and demons, her skin as smooth as silk and face...beautiful beyond measure.
"Why have you come?" her sweet voice sounded out. "I want your heart...I mean help. There's something I have to do and it will definitely attract unwanted attention so I was wondering if you knew of any extremely secluded places. She thought for a while before responding "Sure." The Matriarch then gave him directions to the place. Lu Zhen thanked her many times as what he was about to do was very important.
…
Days later, Lu Zhen headed for the mountains. It took him half a day to reach his destination and it really was secluded. There was a cave in one of the mountains and Lu Zhen entered it without hesitation. He was more or less healed and feared nothing.
He then sat cross legged and stabilized his mind. After he was done with his preparations, he started cultivating. His body turned golden all of a sudden. To be exact, he was releasing the Spirit Qi that filled his body and was directing it to his stomach where a golden orb formed. It was at first, the size of a sesame seed but later grew to the size of a peach seed, it continued to grow as Lu Zhen directed more of his Qi to his stomach.
This was Lu Zhen's dantian. Lu Zhen was breaking through to the Qi Condensing Realm where all the Spirit Qi accumulated in one's body would be condensed in one place. Lu Zhen condensed all his Spirit Qi to his dantian and his dantian was the size of a fist.
He had successfully broken through to the Qi Condensing Realm. Immediately after breaking through, Lu Zhen didn't check the transformation that came with every breakthrough, he opened the sack he was carrying when he came here and started eating.
He was eating both the Vessels Strengthening flower and the Blood Replenishing Ginseng. His blood vessels became thicker and stronger whereas more blood circulated all over his body. Veins popped all over his body as he took on a weird stance. He rolled his body like a millipede.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Dark...no...ominous black clouds condensed above the mountain Lu Zhen resided in. The then expanded at a rapid speed, from a hundred meters to two hundred, three hundred..." clouds continued condensing whereas inside the cave, the place was suddenly engulfed by a sea of Spirit Qi. Lu Zhen's condition wasn't good.
All the blood in his body was flowing to his head, his skin turned pale starting from his legs going up.
When his whole body was pale as a sheet of paper, he opened his mouth and swallowed the abundant Spirit Qi that filled the place and slowly, a red orb formed from his glabella. One could see a crystal like orb forming on his forehead.
"Aaahhh!!!"
Lu Zhen screamed like a mad beast. The clouds outside had condensed to the extreme, that they took the shape of a spear. All living organisms in the vicinity had already left. Once the spear was fully formed, the pressure it exuded was so terrifying that one would die a million times from simply looking at it. Lu Zhen creating a beast core was heaven defying.
In fact, a human with a beast core was unheard of and it was...Beyond Heaven Defying!
