Chapter 32: Main Gland
The lion didn't see the bangle man but he knew he was being watched and guided. Naturally, he knew whoever it was far above what he could contend with.
Another thing was that he felt the inspiration wasn't a lie, Eugene was indeed in a precarious situation.
What made him consent to keep moving apart from knowing he couldn't challenge the culprit was the sensational feelings at the end of the path.
He felt that he would save Eugene if he did what he was guided to.
The lion was moving fast when he came across a bunch of people, humans, denizens and a beast crowded toward a large bronze door.
His speed didn't decrease as he continued moving but his scent had already slammed at the newborn denizens and made them drool.
There were 10 fathers around; they were about to move when they found their bodies not moving at all.
The newborn denizens attack the lion with clear mastery and expertise. The fact they were before Main Gland Gate spoke about their strength and power.
Spears flew toward the lion; some dashed at him with swords and polearms, each glowing with blue as their sharpness and deadliness increased.
The lion dodged most of them, a subtle pulse from his twin horn thwarted many of them, and when he met with a newborn, he only bit away one of their heads and jumped high. Covering 4 meters with one leap.
Graceful Leap of Silent Treader
He landed before the bronze gate, and without waiting, his jaws attacked it.
Gang!
There was a delay, but the teeth had some Pearl Teeth influence, and immediately he tore through it with a strong nudge.
The attackers that turned toward the lion stopped and stared at what happened. What sort of bite force was this?
A blast of force came from the hole created by the lion due to the swirling aura of the high-tier individuals moving around inside the Main Gland.
The lion was pushed back, and he had to activate Battering Ram Force to resist the insidious nature of the external aura.
When the blow of swirling aura force ended, the lion went ahead and bit in continuously, tearing a path that he could pass.
Usually, the individuals inside don't care who entered when the door opened but now are curious about who destroyed the door.
Soon they saw a feline head with golden eyes glaring at them before it moved back and burst inside.
"A lion?" One of the adult denizens said.
"Not any lion but a Miracle Lion!" Another, an elderly one said.
The rest just stared at the 7-foot lion as he gazed at them, too. Maybe by fate or design his eyes landed on Baroko.
Boroko, which was a merger between Borororo and Kororoko, stepped back. He has long recognised the beast even though it has changed. The beast's scent was unmistakably similar.
The lion pounced toward the denizen, and Boroko turned and ran away. The fact the grown-ups weren't attacking the lion meant they wouldn't aid him at all.
The place was vast with the ceiling reaching kilometres high, decorated with shifting glowing dust.
Those that can fly can be seen moving about their activities amidst colourful dust.
There were also long pillars; some touched the ceiling, but most of them had a settlement above them. Denizens had taken a home on top or just a place where they do their things.
As always, the place was dull brown but with a refined colourful dust that gave a refreshing view.
The place wasn't very wide as it was high. It was just barely 3000 feet wide and the walls were covered with numerous passages that lead to various locations and doors which lead to the establishment and buildings for various purposes.
Main Gland
This whole place is called Main Gland; it was the first meeting point that beginners most passed before reaching a higher location.
Boroko has been exploring the place, so he knows exactly where to go to escape the lion rampage.
True, the lion was rampaging; he wasn't attacking anyone, though. But biting at everything around. The walls, the ground, the pillars, and some pots in places for decoration., a glass of a window.
Anything he came to pass close by he will take a bite before going ahead.
Boroko took the lion to a certain passage and the lion followed obliviously. Well, he wasn't stupid; he could catch the denizen if he wanted to, but he was just playing around.
He hoped whoever was behind his inspirational guide would give him a chance to escape.
Soon, they reached a dead end, but Boroko jumped, grabbed a robe hanging above and pulled himself using both his hands and legs.
Doing that, the floor they were on shifted and tilted, making the lion slide forward. The lion immediately dug his claws to resist.
The lion then turned around to bolt outside, but he found the entrance was closed.
The floor had now become a platform, and it was trying to push him down to fall to an unknown height.
The lion jumped up, used his paws and grabbed one of the robes, too, but as if by design, the robe didn't hold and he came down.
This time, the rectangular platform was halfway vertical; that was when he saw his destination.
He became extremely serious as he fell on the tilted rectangular platform; his claws stabbed well into the platform even though it had become very smooth to prevent that.
He quickly then jumped toward the edge of the rectangular platform that was now facing up so that he wouldn't fall.
The moment he reached it, the whole platform was discarded and it fell.
The lion whimpered in terror before he jumped up, almost reaching Boroko, but his momentum ended and he fell.
Toward a large, flat bowl, on its surface was a blazing yellow flame.
The platform was incinerated the moment it touched it.
"This is my fate?!" The lion growled which came out as the first coherent speech in his life.
There was only a flicker of sadness before a searing pain beyond anything they felt assaulted them.
A sharp scream escaped their mouth before their mind collapsed and their body was liquified.
