NOVEL NEXT Chapter 11: EPISODE TEN: MY ARTWORK.
Griz's POV
It's me again you guys. So, after Barbiee's heartwarming speech, I felt that I was indeed to blame for all the things that happened to me.
We decided to sneak out of my house at night to hang a portrait in our school but there was no need to sneak anymore as my dad had called that he would be late.
By 7:00pm, we took out the portrait, which was a portrait of our school and its activities, and headed to school.
The mission was going smoothly, until our security guard, Mr. Lan, pointed his torch at us and yelled. "Come here you little brats" but we didn't come instead we held our hands giggling, and ran into Barbiee's car.
Barbiee dropped me at my house and zoomed off.
"Where were you?". My dad asked me the moment I stepped into the living room.
"I.. I went back to school to hang a portrait with Barbiee". I said. I wasn't a good liar as that jerk Steven.
To my greatest surprise, my dad smiled and hugged me.
"You are back to the Griz I know". He said.
"Yes, and dad I forgive you and I am not mad that you have a girlfriend. Do what makes you happy". I said still in his arms.
"Awwn here's your ice-cream and I bought one for myself to. So, do you wanna watch a movie with me. I'll get the popcorn". He said and chuckled.
"Dad, I would love to watch a movie with you but not today. I need to prepare my mind to face something huge tomorrow". I told him and hugged him again.
"It better be something huge". He said and we both laughed.
The next day, Barbiee picked me up from my house. "Are you ready my talented artist". She asked and of course I replied, "Yes".
As we walked down the hallway, we sighted a group of students surrounding my artwork.
"Who did this? This work is sick!". I could hear a lot of their compliments.
"I'll be right back". Barbiee told me and walked away.
I moved over to my artwork and said, "I drew it".
Everyone laughed and a girl said, "Ugly duckling, you flirt what are you doing here?".
I walked over to her and said in a threatening voice. "Call me ugly duckling one more time".
Everyone moved back. The girl couldn't speak. Then I said, "You all call me ugly duckling but can you pin point one thing that makes me ugly!".
No-one could speak. Just then, I sighted Steven with his group and Nikki with hers.
"Steven! Don't you think you owe me an apology". I yelled and everyone turned to look at their direction.
Nikki charged towards me. "Ha! Ugly duckling wants to act tough because she thinks Barbiee's gonna back her up". She said and everyone laughed.
"Hmmm Nikki, Nikki. Tell me one thing that makes me ugly". I said and everyone stopped laughing.
As expected, Nikki couldn't speak. "See, you are probably jealous of me". I said and looked at Steven who turned away immediately.
"Ugly duckling....". Whack! I slapped Tia the moment she called me that.
Everyone gasped in surprise. "What's happening here? Griz! Are you okay?". Chloe asked me and held my hand.
"You should be asking her". I pointed to Tia. Chloe looked at Tia and quickly grasped the situation then, she smiled at me and stepped back.
"How dare you!". Nikki yelled.
"From today my name is no longer, Ugly duckling! I am not ugly and even if I am it doesn't give anyone the right to call anyone that! Is that understood!!". I yelled and everyone nodded as they felt I was possessed.
"Steven tell everyone what happened and I promise to forgive you". I said emotionlessly.
"Um I suggested that we go to your house as I wanted to clear my head from the issues I was having with Nikki and you agreed. I discovered your wonderful talent of art....Oh my God did you paint this?". He asked in the middle of his explanation as he sighted the portrait.
"I did. Continue". I ordered and everyone shone their eyes again.
"Well, I wanted to do my art assignment with her. I can't continue anymore I'm sorry Griz, I really am". Steven said.
"And what about me". Everyone turned to look at Rina.
"I am sorry Rina. You were being a good friend to me". Steven apologized with his hands trembling. He became tensed.
