Chapter 617: Adress Of Pagoda
The hellstorm had swallowed everything. Demonic energies tore through the air like invisible blades. The ground beneath no longer looked like land; it was a sea of cracks, bones, and frozen blood.
Daniel stood at the center of the storm. Orsius's body was cracked. His left arm was almost numb. Every breath felt like glass stabbing into his chest.
He was so badly injured that even his regeneration ability had clearly weakened.
But he was still standing. Wargon was several meters ahead, his massive mace resting on his shoulder. His eyes were shining.
Daniel slowly raised his head. His gaze fixed on the massive attack rushing toward him. If it hit him, he would definitely end up on the edge between life and death.
He even doubted whether the demons' healing and regeneration could save him at that point. Right now, he only had one option left.
"Hm?" Wargon sensed something and, for some reason, suddenly felt an intense sense of danger. Even so, it was already too late to do anything.
The massive attack stopped just a few steps away from Daniel. An overwhelming power erupted from his body and instantly spread through the area. The void began to collapse, and countless cracks formed between space and reality.
The demons felt the danger and immediately activated all their defensive skills to withstand the massive wave of energy.
Daniel coughed up blood and looked at the core of Orsius's body, the source of his regeneration and healing. It was cracked and looked unstable.
He had just used it to create a relatively powerful shockwave to buy himself time.
Then, seeing the demons distracted, he took the chance.
[ The Doom Domain ]
The air collapsed, and silence fell everywhere. Black spread from beneath Daniel's feet and covered everything.
Everything within a vast radius lost its color. Sounds were cut off. The wind stopped.
And then—
A black boundary, like invisible walls, rose from the ground.
The remaining demons suddenly froze.
"What…?"
"I can't move!"
"Commander—!"
But it was too late.
The domain was complete.
The soldiers and elite demons were all left outside. Seeing the situation, they attacked the walls of the domain with all their power, trying to destroy it.
But it was useless. The domain was far stronger than something they could break so easily.
Only two were inside.
Daniel and Wargon.
The world inside the domain felt like an endless graveyard.
The ground was black, the sky dark and starless, and a sound like the whisper of death came from nowhere.
For the first time, Wargon frowned.
"A domain?! Human, you'd better just surrender. These ridiculous attempts won't change anything."
Daniel coughed. Blood spilled onto the ground. His condition was truly terrible, but fortunately, he was almost at his goal.
"I know."
He took a step forward. With each step, the ground beneath him cracked. He doubled the amount of life energy he was burning.
Wargon roared and attacked. His massive mace came down with full force, but this time Daniel didn't retreat and raised his hand.
A massive collision occurred, yet no shockwave or explosion followed.
Wargon's mace trembled. His aura became unstable, and he was forced to step back.
"This… what is it doing?"
"Your power is halved here," Daniel said between breaths, a crooked grin forming on his face, as he also realized that his regeneration had been cut in half.
Then he opened his other hand.
The ground beneath Wargon suddenly split open. Shadows rose like chains and grabbed his legs.
Wargon roared and released his power. The chains shattered, but that single second was enough.
Daniel appeared in front of him and threw a punch with all the strength he had.
Wargon's chest caved in, and his body was thrown back several meters, dragged across the ground.
For the first time, blood spilled from Wargon's mouth.
Daniel felt a wave of weakness, but he had no choice but to continue. He burned more of his life force.
He punched again and again with full power, while his life energy drained faster and faster. Wargon tried to stand, but couldn't.
The ground held him like the hands of the dead.
Daniel stood over him.
"Now… can you still resist?"
"You filthy, low human! You know you can't kill me, and this is the end for you! Even so, surrender is no longer an option! I'll tear you apart myself!" Wargon roared with rage and hatred.
He had never felt such humiliation in his life—and from a filthy human who had killed his friend. No matter the price, he would make sure to return this humiliation a thousandfold.
Daniel placed his hand on Wargon's forehead, and Wargon's eyes suddenly widened.
"You'd better give me what I want, and I'll let you leave this place alive. Where is the location you're trying to open?"
"Oh?" Wargon suddenly burst into laughter, as if he had heard something ridiculous. "So you're after that place, hahaha."
"Don't you—" Daniel started to speak, but before he could continue, Wargon cut him off.
"I'll tell you."
Suddenly, the address of the place Daniel was looking for appeared in his mind, like a memory.
"I didn't expect you to cooperate so easily." Daniel frowned slightly. He had thought he would need to use more force.
"That place is heavily guarded, you stupid human. Not even a Heavenly Climber would dare to get close to it," Wargon said mockingly.
Daniel smirked. So that was why this idiot was so careless. He didn't think Daniel could go there. Still, this idiot had underestimated him.
He felt a bit pleased that he had managed to obtain what he wanted without too much trouble.
But he also felt uneasy. Was it only because Wargon believed he wouldn't be able to leave this place alive? And even if he did, that he would never be able to reach that location or enter it?
Regardless of the reason, it didn't matter. He had obtained the address, and in fact, there was another surprise as well.
The address of the Holy City of the Eternity Faith.
Suddenly—crack.
The wall of the domain trembled, and before Daniel could react, the domain completely collapsed.
