Chapter 381: Another Win
However, before this truly happened, Daniel's blood suddenly began to boil, and his golden eyes started glowing.
The entire void collapsed under the boiling of Daniel's blood and completely disappeared.
Elias frowned slightly when he saw this scene. He hadn't expected this kid to survive that attack, but it seemed he had underestimated him.
"That boiling blood, that feeling… it's so familiar," he muttered to himself. For a moment, Daniel's blood reminded him of the greatest fear he had ever known.
Still, he decided to ignore it. There was no way it could be that, right?
"That was one of the most terrifying attacks I've ever seen." Daniel panted and then attacked with [Strike of Destruction].
The blade Heaven's Honor shone with a black aura of destruction, and the sword's glow radiated as though death and the moon had united within the blade. The mighty strike clashed against Elias's fist, and an aura of destruction shook the space.
Elias continued with [Breath of Destiny Chains].
He took a deep breath, and black and gray chains spread into the air, like dark veins wrapping around Daniel. The chains shook the very fabric of reality, filling space with a dark aura.
Daniel attacked with [Thunder of Lost Dreams].
Suddenly, a massive thunder appeared in the sky above them, striking down at Elias and shaking the entire space around them.
Elias felt a horrifying pain, a pain beyond physical or even mental suffering. It targeted everything inside him.
All his regrets, sorrows, and misfortunes turned into pain and began stabbing into his very being.
He waved his hand and his eyes glowed, activating the power of destiny to erase the root of the attack, making it as if it had never happened at all.
"Damn it, that's cheating." Daniel wanted to cry but had no tears left. How was such a thing even possible?
Then Elias attacked with [Storm of Destiny's Light].
A storm of white and golden light filled the battlefield, each impact like an explosion of destiny itself, striking at Daniel.
Daniel defended with [Demonic Twilight Shield], but Elias attacked again with [Broken Shadow of Destiny].
A living shadow of the destinies of countless beings appeared in his fist, and the strike repeated itself multiple times.
Daniel countered with [Eyes of Destruction], firing beams of annihilation.
His eyes glowed like gates to death itself, and the beams of destruction shot out like a storm of pure annihilation, striking Elias and shattering the crystal barrier.
Elias resisted with [Shield of Destiny], but both were left with shallow wounds—Daniel on his shoulder and Elias on his arm—as they jumped back.
Daniel frowned slightly and attacked again with his sword. They began exchanging blows.
"Your physical power is truly impressive," Elias nodded as he spoke. Among all the bodies he had seen, this boy's body was one of the most terrifying.
Every time he struck him, it felt like he, a mere mortal, was striking against a mountain. If not for his ability to rewrite destiny and weaken Daniel's body, he would have certainly been in trouble.
"Your body's power isn't any less impressive."
"My body was baptized in the River of Destiny. Of course it will be powerful."
"I think it's better we end this battle here." Daniel smirked as he spoke.
"Oh? Then let's both unleash our final strikes." The Hero of Destiny nodded.
Daniel, without hesitation, activated [Eternal Judgment].
Blood poured down from the sky, and a massive bloody sword took shape in the air, radiating an aura of silver light, black darkness, and flames of red and white.
To be even more certain, he also borrowed the power of the Fallens.
The shadows of the Fallens appeared around him, and he struck with a godlike blow against Elias, splitting the ground apart.
Elias also activated [Sword of Destiny's Annihilation].
A sword that looked like it had been forged from the River of Destiny itself appeared in the sky. It seemed as though this sword could completely erase any destiny, karma, and cause-and-effect.
Both attacks struck their targets. The sheer power of Daniel's blow completely threw Elias back and smashed him into the ground.
This was a strike that drew power from over a hundred Fallens, and Daniel himself had put all his strength behind it.
At the same time, Elias's strike landed on Daniel. But it was not a physical attack, nor did it wound his body or soul.
Instead, it directly targeted his destiny, attempting to annihilate it completely. Yet once again, this attempt to destroy Daniel's destiny made the blood of God within him boil.
It seemed the divine blood was furious, and the sword itself felt this rage and grew terrified. What a joke— a sword born from the River of Destiny was trembling with fear.
Did this mean the River of Destiny itself had felt fear?
The sword slowly dissipated and vanished.
"It seems I've lost." Elias watched everything unfold and let out a sigh.
The world around them shifted, and they reappeared above the River of Destiny.
He looked at Daniel with some doubt, but if before he had had suspicions, now he was certain—the bloodline of this boy was incredibly powerful, perhaps even stronger than his own.
His lineage was already a mythical one, the highest and most powerful, and yet now he might be witnessing a bloodline even greater and more powerful than his own.
It was hard to believe, but the living proof stood before him.
"Thank you for going easy on me," Daniel said respectfully.
"There's no need to try to act polite and modest. You deserve the victory." Elias waved his hand, and another small white orb entered Daniel's body.
"What are these? I got one after the previous fights I won as well."
The Hero of Destiny gave no answer and only shrugged. Daniel sighed and didn't ask further. He could only wait until he reached the hundredth floor.
"Maybe it's asking too much, but can you give something to my last descendant?" A key appeared in Elias's hand.
Daniel took the key and looked at it. It resembled somewhat the key he had obtained from the auction.
"This key leads to my tomb. Though, it can't truly be called a tomb, since technically I am still alive. However, inside there are things that should be able to help that girl along her path."
"I promise I'll give this key to her."
"I trust you. Now it's time for you to go. Be careful and hide your bloodline." Elias smiled as he spoke.
Daniel said by, and his awareness returned to his body. After he left, the Hero of Destiny let out another sigh.
He looked at the boy's bloodline. There were many seals placed upon it. Some limited his power, while others concealed the truth and identity of that bloodline.
Although this body itself wasn't that powerful, Elias placed several more seals upon Daniel, hiding the bloodline's true identity even further.
"It seems Kron and Veyzer also helped him." A smile appeared on his face.
Could it be possible for them to gather together once more? Could history repeat itself?
He hoped so, deep in his heart. And yet, he feared the consequences of such a thing.
