Chapter 378: Hero Of Light

Daniel didn't say anything and only stared at the man in front of him. He had many questions he wanted to ask, but it was obvious he wouldn't receive any answers.

"May I ask your name?"

"My name is Veyzer Lionheart. Of course, some may call me by other names, but this is the name my parents gave me," Veyzer answered indifferently.

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well," Daniel said with a smile. Veyzer was a strange name—actually, one of the strangest he had ever heard.

He could understand why the Lionheart family might call their Founder by a different name, or simply by his title.

Then he prepared himself for battle. He had no information about his opponent other than his greatest title—Hero of Light. If his guess was right, this man's Law should also be Light.

However, he had never faced or even heard of anyone who cultivated such a Law, so he had no clear understanding of its power.

Even though Veyzer said Daniel could defeat him, Daniel had no intention of letting his guard down. After all, it was possible he was lying, right? Better to stay cautious than regret it later.

Veyzer extended his hand, and a sword of light appeared within it.

The battle began with the sound of Veyzer's sword. He fired [Rays of the Angry Sun].

Golden, radiant beams erupted from the Sunheart, like small suns that scorched the air and melted the crystal walls.

Daniel defended with [Demonic Twilight Shield]. The black-and-silver shield deflected the rays and reflected part of the Light energy back at Veyzer.

He moved with [Bloody Shadow Dance]. His body sank into the shadows, and in an instant, he appeared behind Veyzer.

Veyzer reacted with [Absolute Shield of Light]. A halo of white light formed around him, absorbing Daniel's strike and transforming it into Light energy.

Daniel unleashed [Death Roar]. The black roar disrupted Veyzer's mind, as though Death itself were whispering into his ears.

Veyzer countered with [Illusion of False Lights]. False lights appeared in the air, each creating an illusion of Daniel that attacked with radiant strikes.

Daniel shattered the illusions with [Mystic Aspect of the Moon Law] and attacked with [Strike of Destruction].

Heavens Honor glowed with a black-and-white aura of Destruction, delivering a massive strike against Veyzer's shield, leaving a crack.

Both of them leapt back with surface wounds—Daniel's arm and Veyzer's shoulder—breathing heavily.

However, Veyzer's expression remained indifferent. The wound on his arm healed instantly, as if it had never existed.

Veyzer took the advantage with [Dance of Sun Rays]. His body blurred like light itself, and celestial beams rained down from every direction, shaking the surroundings.

Daniel defended with [Shadow Weapons]. Weapons of shadow rose from the ground, devouring the beams.

But Veyzer followed up with [Eternal Light Explosion]. Eternal light erupted from his body like a solar detonation, flooding the battlefield with blinding radiance that burned and blinded Daniel.

Daniel slowed time with [Temporal Aspect of the Moon Law] and healed his wounds with [Mana Healing]. Then he once again created a [Glass Domain], this time infused with the Moon Law.

A vast domain enveloped the surroundings.

"Oh? I didn't expect that," Veyzer muttered as he felt his power weaken drastically.

On top of that, he normally drew strength from the sun, but now he was trapped inside a domain created from the Moon, meaning the damage he received was far worse than it appeared.

Veyzer resisted with [Inverse Light-Shadow]. He inverted the Light, bringing shadows to life in an attempt to devour Daniel's Death energy.

Daniel countered with [Eyes of Destruction]. His eyes glowed like black-and-red suns, unleashing annihilating beams that struck Veyzer like a storm of death and slammed him into the ground.

"You'd better hurry up," the Hero of Light said calmly as he rose to his feet, as if the heavy injuries meant nothing.

Veyzer attacked with [Fallen Sun Sword]. His blade, charged with fallen sunlight, released a devastating strike that scorched the ground and slammed Daniel against the wall.

Daniel healed with [Mana Healing], but the pressure continued to mount.

He used [Gravitational Aspect of the Moon Law] to hurl Veyzer toward the ceiling and followed it with [Temporal Aspect of the Moon Law], slowing time briefly to delay Veyzer's counterattack.

Veyzer responded with [Rays of the Angry Sun], but Daniel blocked with [Demonic Twilight Shield].

Daniel then closed in with [Bloody Shadow Dance] and struck with [Strike of Destruction].

His blade glowed with the aura of Destruction and the [Mystic Aspect of the Moon Law], throwing Veyzer's mind into chaos and wounding his body.

Veyzer retaliated with [Eternal Light Explosion], but Daniel summoned [Shadow Weapons], which swallowed the radiance.

He followed with [Death Roar], disrupting Veyzer's mind, and struck with his sword, paralyzing him.

Veyzer attempted to resist with [Inverse Light-Shadow], but Daniel unleashed [Eyes of Destruction] as the finishing blow.

His eyes shone like the gates of death, beams of annihilation engulfing Veyzer and leaving his body wounded. Veyzer collapsed to the ground.

Still, Daniel activated [Crimson Judgement] to be certain. Blood-red swords materialized in the sky and surged down with overwhelming force toward the Hero of Light.

Veyzer frowned, and suddenly a miniature sun appeared, enveloping his body to protect him. Daniel frowned as well, boosting the swords' power with the Moon Law, and for certainty, he also infused them with the Law of Death.

The swords pierced into the miniature sun that acted as his shield. The Moon Law weakened it, while the Death Law began corroding and killing the sun.

The sun cracked open, and the swords stopped at the Hero of Light's neck.

"I accept defeat," Veyzer said indifferently. He wasn't angry or upset—it was as though he had expected this outcome.

As soon as those words left his mouth, the world changed, and everything returned to its original state, as if they had never fought.

"Well, did I win anything?" Daniel asked with a smile.

"It took you seven minutes; I expected more from you."
