chapter 53: cleaning up the trash
The celestial fairy familiar in front of me was incredibly powerful. I smiled and said, "What's your name?"
She replied, "Alex."
"Oh, interesting choice. I mean, you are female, correct?" I asked.
"Oh, I guess spirits don't really have genders and simply take the form of male or female based on preference. You don't get to choose the name; it's etched into the soul upon reaching certain requirements, like becoming a celestial fairy."
"I knew you were a far more powerful spirit than you were letting on. Gaining a physical incarnation wouldn't have been enough to become a celestial fairy unless a fairy had met all the other conditions to evolve into a celestial fairy. After all, it is but one of many conditions," I added.
I used clairvoyance to check on the workers in space and was immediately enraged. My aura leaked out at full force, causing a minor earthquake. I retracted my wings and took off into the sky at a ridiculous velocity. Fortunately, Sophie had opened a portal so I would appear a kilometer up into the sky and not just smash my way through the roof. In my enraged state, I may have forgotten to pay attention to my surroundings. Even if I was outside and didn't smash the roof, the hypersonic shockwaves would be enough to cause major damage, at least to the surrounding areas. Our house had many barriers to protect against such things.
In a few minutes, I broke through the atmosphere and used my unique magic, flame transformation. My hair turned rainbow-colored, my eyes turned rainbow rainbow-colored, my wings turned rainbow-colored. My clothes disintegrated from the flames and were replaced by a solidified rainbow flame dress. My speed drastically increased, moving just below the speed of light.
Einstein was technically correct: you can't move faster than the speed of light. However, scientists constantly misinterpret what the actual speed of light is—it's much faster than they think. Beings made of matter cannot travel at the speed of light. This is due to becoming energy at the speed of light. Light exists in a state of being energy because it's moving so fast, causing it to constantly shift between matter and energy. This would kill a living organism if they were to travel at light speed. However, if they were to exceed light speed, they'd likely go back to the moment before the body was destroyed. But you can't exceed light speed under normal circumstances. In order to exceed the speed of light, you can't be a physical being; you have to be energy. So, Einstein was correct: the matter of the universe cannot exceed the speed of light. That is the fastest speed, and once they reach it, they'll be in a state of shifting between matter and energy form, which will kill any living organism.
But with my rainbow flame transformation, I could actually exceed the speed of light since I'm basically just a flame, or pure energy in my current state. However, I'm simply not powerful enough to reach that speed yet.
Before reaching the space station or the floating island in space—whatever you wish to call it—I used the telepathy earring to inform the Demon Lord that we need replacements. It seems that the Demon Lord had already organized replacements, and they would be sent out soon. She used clairvoyance to look into the situation and was even more enraged than I was. Those guys hadn't just stopped working and been lazy; they had now started actively tearing down what they had already built. This was not an intentional tear-down; it looked like they were playing some overly destructive game that resulted in the buildings collapsing, wasting tons of resources. Those buildings were made out of a very strong material known as dragon jade. Dragon jade was not just one of the most beautiful types of jade, but it was also extremely sturdy. After all, it had the name "dragon" in it. Dragons would never allow something to have "dragon" in its name without being of excellent quality. For example, if someone opened a Chinese restaurant with "dragon" in its name, there's a good chance it would eventually get destroyed by dragons if it did not produce the best Chinese food ever. Simply put, earth was lucky because its in the middle of nowhere, but even then, it's likely that dragons would eventually find out and destroy anything that had the name "dragon" in it if it was not up to their standards.
I finally reached the floating island and created a bow made of rainbow flames die mother fucker, i shot a rainbow flame arrow that split into several rainbow flame arrows. The culprits tried to defend against it, but the arrows where locked onto them, making dodging useless. The arrows hit them, burning them into nothingness. Of course, this is technically a crime but I am in space, so I can literally do anything I want. Plus, it's not like the Demon Lord doesn't know. She probably would have given the death penalty as well. It's one thing to be lazy; it's another to intentionally sabotage a project that is so critical for the future.
