Chapter 4: Leveling
POV Callum
Spending a few days exploring my attributed territory had me finding a few ruined villages. Each one seemed to have been burnt so I was leaning towards a dragon or something being in the area.
[Notice] people are approaching the tower entrance
"Finally," I stated then teleported right to the front of the tower. Looking around I spotted a group walking towards me at the edge of my vision, so I elected to wait right in front of the entrance.
It took a few hours and they finally arrived, stopping right in front of me. I even recognized a few people including the person who was pulling the carriage from yesterday.
Spreading my arms I called out to them "Welcome to my tower, here you will discover things you never even thought existed" I chose to ignore them flinching as I spoke.
"Here are the people you requested," An older man said, stepping forward and bowing.
Before I could respond five people were pushed forward, A middle aged woman with a motherly look to her. Two young boys that looked around sixteen? Eighteen? As well as a ten year old boy holding the carriage guys hands. Strangely I noticed that all the people had dark brown hair, almost black as well as brown eyes.
"Well again welcome head on inside and I'll meet you there" I said waving to the entrance.
Watching the five people head inside I turned back to the group and waved "you are welcome to come as well, the more the merrier other than that I'll send them back to the village after they're done" and with that I teleported back inside.
Looking at the small group I noticed that they were staring at the space right in front of them. Wonder what they are seeing? And with that through a window popped up right in front of me.
[Participant view]
Welcome to the tower! Here you will be challenged more and more the higher you climb but with these challenges comes rewards. Nothing is out of bounds; you can become stronger and even learn mystical powers depending on your class choice. To look at your character sheet simply say "status" and it will appear, while you are inside the tower owner's territory you will be able to open your status and allocate status points but outside their territory you will be unable to access the status page but will retain your learned abilities. To learn more about each section of your status page simply press on it and a small description will be provided.
"I guess I can see what other people are seeing, that is definitely useful"
Looking up it was obvious that the group was nervous by the way they kept glancing over at me and around the first floor. Quickly making up my mind I decided to approach and give them a few pointers.
[+5 tower points]
"What?" opening my system, I noticed that my tower points had indeed gone up "So I get a point for each participant, alright I'll deal with this latter, let's get this done"
Approaching the group, I prepared mentally for the discussion. "Hello guys you can call me Callum and I am the master of this tower as you read this is a place where you can become stronger in every way imaginable".
Unfortunately, I must of put them off as they quickly took a step back
"What do you want with us?" The man who I had not gotten the name of asked.
I was quick to respond "Want? I don't want anything; I am here to offer you a chance to go stronger as I have said you are welcome here why don't you introduce yourselves"
The man stepped forward "I am He Tun, this is my wife Analay and my three children" He said gesturing to each person in succession.
"Yet again I would like to welcome you to my tower here you can kill monsters to grow stronger and as you climb the tower it will get more and more difficult but it will get more dangerous"
"What?" he questioned
"Why don't you say status" I said, waiting for them to do so.
"Status?" "status" "status"
"Now if you look at the top right you will see something that says XP, Every time you kill a monster you will gain experience, once it is filled up your level will go up. With each level you gain a free point to put into any attribute to increase how strong it is"
"What the hell?" I heard him whisper
Wait a minute I have some Tower points, let's see here "shop, search, sword"
[Shop]
Basic sword: 1 point
Steel sword: 2 points
Alright then let's get three basic swords. I watched as the points disappeared and the swords appeared in front of me, falling to the ground.
"Feel free to grab a sword, I would suggest you try fighting the green slimes first as they're the easiest", Deciding I should probably leave them to it as anything else will most likely confuse them. I walked back to my tree and sat down.
Wait if I can see whatever they see, can I see their status? And as annoying as ever a status window popped up.
Name: He Tun

Interesting it seems their statutes are similar to my own. I don't see any abilities or skills tabs though?. Now let's take a look at the childrens. For the most part the children were similar but with smaller stats but when I made it to the ten-year-olds I almost fainted.
Name: Tyro
Class: Earthbender
Level: 1
XP: 0/10
Strength- 1
Endurance-1
Agility: 1
Constitution: 1
Will: 2
Mind: 3
Spirit: 4
"What the hell?" I quickly ran back to He Tun who was expecting the swords I had left. "Hey where are we"
Before I could stop him, he fell to the ground "What do you mean?"
Okay this is annoying I just want my question answered "What kingdom or nation are we in right not"
"We are in the northern part of the Earth kingdom"
"And your child is an Earthbender"
Obviously, he didn't know this because as soon as I had said it he turned his head towards his son so fast I thought it would snap and with wide eyes he turned back to me "If you say so"
Clearly shaken I quickly teleported away to the fifth floor trying to get as far away as possible. This was both bad and good. On one hand I absolutely loved the world of Avatar but something like the tower could destroy this world without me even trying. I am extremely lucky that nobody can prevent others from entering the tower. I may not be able to be injured but I also don't have any attacking power either. I need answers.
Quickly teleporting down to the first floor approached the woman, what was her name? Analy? I don't remember.
As I approached, she looked quite startled and moved her child behind her but I chose to ignore it "Excuse me miss I have some questions" She bowed quite quickly as I said that.
"Of course, anything that you would like"
"How long has the war with the fire nation been going on for?"
"As far as I know about a hundred years, maybe a little less"
"Have you heard of the avatar at all?"
"No one has seen the avatar in a hundred years"
"How about any airbender"
"No one has seen an airbender for ninety years, at least according to my father"
"Thank you"
Quickly teleporting back to the fifth floor I choose to lay against the entrance.
"So I am around the time that ang returns" I said to myself. Honestly it was hard to tell even after the death of avatar roku Aang still had to live twelve years before he was frozen in ice so I should be at least a decade or less before he appears. In that case I need to make sure I get more participants and that means taking care of the participants I do have.
Going back to the first floor I approached Hu Ten "Hu Ten right?"
"Yes" he responded
"Grab a sword and follow me" I said as seriously as possible.
I didn't even wait for him to respond. I just turned around and walked towards the sparse forest letting him tail behind me.
It took a few minutes to lead him to a small clearing that had some slimes running around. "Here you go, use that sword to kill these slimes"
"You want me to kill them?"
I was about to respond but A slime jumped right at Hu tun making him wildly dive to the side. After he stood back up he raised his sword like he was trying to imitate something he had seen in a book.
"I would suggest you attack before it attacks you" I wasn't really a mean person but if I didn't force this then they might never get to fighting.
He Tun gave me a glance then tried running up to the slime and hacked down like he was using a hammer. Fortunately for him this was the first floor and hacking through a slime without skill will still kill it. I spent the next few hours leading him around the first floor getting him to kill slimes. We tried the horned rabbits, but they were too fast for him to catch. Then after about three hours he leveled up.

"Hmm, nice you should put that free point into either agility or strength" I commented as he looked at his status.
"O..okay" he said as he tapped the screen in front of him.

Endurance-3
Agility: 3
Constitution: 3

"What is this?" He Tun questions as he flexed his arms a bit.
I didn't waste any time answering him "That is the power of the tower, the more you level up the stronger you get. There is even the potential to become stronger than the avatar"
Looking at me in wonder I could see a small glint in He Tun's eyes as I said that. Then he turned and looked back at the approaching slime. He lunged back at the approaching monster and the only thing on my face was a smile.
