Chapter 29: In The Dark
Eren's POV
I'm Eren Yeager. I'm 18 years old. I used to be a soldier—well, until that day. The day everything changed. Somehow, clinging to one last shred of hope, I asked her—the love of my life—a question I'd asked countless times, in countless worlds.
But this time, her response shook me to my core. It shattered every wall I'd built, every ounce of resolve I thought I had. I threw everything away and ran. Ran far, far away to a quiet hilltop, to a life I could share with her.
Recently, we found out Mikasa is pregnant. We're having a child in about eight months. There's already a small bump on her belly, and every time she says it's our child, I get this unexplainable rush of joy.
Every day, I see her clinging to that scarf and wearing the ring I gave her, and I just want to be the kind of man she deserves. Someone strong. Someone who can protect her, love her, and be her equal.
But no matter how much I try, I always feel like I fall short. She's... dominant in ways I never saw coming. Especially at night. I don't know how it happens, but somehow she always takes the lead.
And the worst part? I make these weird, instinctive noises I can't control. It's like she has me completely figured out.
Still, one day, I'll show her. I'll prove to her that I can be the strong one. That I can stand on top.... or sit on top
"Alright," I muttered to myself, shaking off the embarrassment, "here she comes."
Mikasa stepped into the room, her black hair slightly messy from sleep, wearing nothing but my oversized shirt. It hung loosely on her, just barely covering her body stretching down to her thighs.
"Mika, here, try this," I said, placing the steak I'd been cooking in front of her as she settled on the chair. I'd made it with extra care—something nutritious for her and our baby. I watched her closely as she took a bite, the suspense killing me.
Her eyes lit up, that familiar expression of satisfaction spreading across her face. "Mmm... it's so good, step bro," she teased, her lips curling into a mischievous grin.
"Heh?" My brain stalled.
"You're the best stepbrother I could've ever asked for," she added, her tone playful but her smirk borderline devious.
Wait, wait, wait—did she just bro-zone me? Again?! We're literally married!
"Again... we're not step-siblings... we're married," I said, my voice somewhere between exasperated and pleading.
She didn't even flinch. "That's true, step bro, but don't you remember? You adopted me years ago."
Her voice dropped into this sultry, teasing tone that made my head spin. Was this really Mikasa? The shy, sweet girl who used to blush at every kiss? The girl who turned redder than a tomato every time I held her hand?
I sighed, realizing I couldn't even be mad. I was the reason she'd opened up like this, after all. Maybe I should be happy—proud, even. But man, she's relentless.
I pulled Mikasa into a tight embrace, her soft chuckles filling the air. Her voice, warm and soothing, always had a way of making my heart beat just a little faster. Her grey eyes, endlessly captivating, stared up at me, filled with both love and playful mischief.
Those pink, swollen lips, always so soft and inviting, brushed against mine when she kissed me. Her pale skin, glowing even in the dim light, was like porcelain—flawless and delicate.
Her raven hair, now longer and falling around her face in soft waves, caught the light as I gently ran my fingers through it. Despite the exhaustion in her eyes, she looked as radiant as ever—her expression a perfect blend of tiredness and love.
"Aaa…" she murmured as I fed her, a small laugh escaping her lips.
Just as I finished feeding her she rose up clutching my hands and taking me to the usual bedroom. Gently making me sit by her side "Hey… darling…" she began, voice gentle, a hint of something deeper behind her usual calm. "What are your plans for today?"
I smiled, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Well, I was thinking of going fishing so we can cook it for tomorrow," I replied casually, feeling the warmth of the moment.
Her face, however, shifted, a frown tugging at her lips. She bit her lower lip, a look of sadness creeping into her eyes. My heart twisted at the sight of it.
"But… I wanted Eren to stay home today…" she said softly, her voice barely a whisper as she closed the gap between us, her breath mingling with mine. "I wanted him to do something for me…"
Her words hit me like a wave, and I couldn't stand seeing her upset, especially not with that beautiful face. I leaned in closer, my hands gently cupping her cheeks as I looked into her eyes, willing myself to make everything right.
"Okay… I'll stay with you. What is it?" I asked, trying to hide my curiosity, though I couldn't help but wonder what she wanted.
She hugged me tightly, but when she pulled away, I saw it—hesitation. Mikasa, always so confident, was nervous? That look in her eyes made me anxious.
"Tell me, Mikasa. I'll do anything…" I whispered, pressing a soft kiss to her nose.
She paused for a moment, and then, with a quiet but determined voice, she spoke.
"I… I want Eren… to tie me up. And do whatever he wants…" Her words were a shock, and I blinked in disbelief. I saw her pull something from behind—a rope and a cloth.
"Wait, what?" I thought to myself, but my expression softened as I smiled, a slight laugh escaping my lips.
"Seriously, Mika? You scared me for a second there." Here I was thinking she wanted something like new clothes or something like that.
Her smile was radiant, and I melted in an instant, my heart thumping louder in my chest.
"Do you really want me to cover your mouth aswell?" I asked, looking down at the cloth in my hand. She nodded eagerly, her eyes gleaming.
I moved slowly, carefully, as I wrapped her arms and legs in the rope, gently securing her body. As she lay on the bed, bound but calm, I leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her forehead, savoring the moment.
But then…
"Well, if you want me to stay home…" I began, completely oblivious to the mood she was setting, "So I'll just cut the wood, we need some for cooking."
I stood up, picking up an axe and heading outside, my focus shifting back to the task at hand. As I chopped the wood into even pieces, making sure not to cut them too thin or too thick, I found myself smiling. Life here, with Mikasa, was peaceful, simple… and in a way, perfect.
Two hours later....
My back was sore, hands sore, legs sore from all the chopping, and as I stepped into the cabin for a drink of water, my gaze landed on Mikasa.
She was lying on the bed, looking at me with an expression I couldn't quite decipher—angry, frustrated, maybe even cute in her own way. Her eyes were full of something I couldn't pin down, and her soft sounds of discomfort only made her seem more endearing.
"Umgheh..." she muttered under her breath, and I ran to her side. Carefully, I removed the damp cloth from her mouth, my brow arched as I took of the cloth gently placing it on the bed.
"Ereh... Please untie me now..." Mikasa pleaded, her voice soft but firm. I didn't hesitate, my hands quickly untying the ropes.
Before I even realized it, she bolted toward the bathroom. "Ohhhh..." I thought, realizing she'd been holding it in the whole time. Well, I should probably cook lunch while she takes care of that.
I stretched my aching back, the relief of lying down on the soft mattress a small blessing. The warmth from the bed soothed my muscles as I let out a soft, contented moan. But before I could really settle in, Mikasa emerged from the bathroom, her expression still a little troubled.
"Hey, Mika, I was thinking about making grilled fish for—"
Before I could finish, Mikasa crossed her arms and turned away, pouting with an exaggerated "Hmph..."
I blinked, completely confused, and got up from the bed to ask what was wrong. She didn't reply, just gave me a longer, more frustrated look.
"Mika... What's the matter? Wait... is it hurting here?" My hand instinctively reached for her stomach, gently feeling the small bump.
She didn't respond immediately, instead turning her back to me and flopping back onto the bed with a soft sigh.
I sighed too, finally piecing it together. She was hungry. I should have known.
With newfound determination, I rushed to the kitchen, determined to make something special for her. Deep-fried fish, crisp and golden-brown, was first on the menu. I made sure the aroma wafted through the cabin, knowing it would grab her attention.
Alongside that, I prepared cold mango juice and ice cream—something I'd learned to make the other day. I hoped this would bring her back to her usual self.
Soon after preparing the meal, I hurriedly brought it to Mikasa, who was... sleeping. I smiled at the sight of her, then slowly crouched down by her bedside and kissed her red cheek.
"My queen... You look really beautiful, but... stop pretending. Your breaths aren't this uneven while sleeping..." I noticed immediately.
She couldn't help but pretend to sleep, her face turning bright red, lips trembling, either frustrated or holding back laughter. But then, she opened her charcoal blues and met my green eyes.
"Eren, you idiot..." she said, flustered, crossing her arms and sitting up, looking away. I chuckled softly, replying, "Sorry, I forgot to untie you."
But she didn't reply. I sighed softly, sliding my hands gently around her soft belly from behind. Tugging her closer, I pulled her onto my lap, her warmth pressing against me as I held her.
"Hungry?" I asked with a small smile, but she simply turned her head away with another stubborn, "Hmph..." Her pout only deepened, but then her stomach betrayed her, letting out a loud, thunderous growl.
"Oh... so our little one is hungry," I teased, reaching for the tray nearby. I gently held a bite of food to her lips. Her cheeks turned a deep crimson, but she opened her mouth reluctantly and began to munch, looking adorably flustered.
I continued feeding her like a little girl, savoring the soft intimacy of the moment. When the meal was finished and the dishes were washed, I returned to her side, finding her sitting on the bed. Without a word, I gently leaned over her, pushing her down onto the soft mattress.
Her expression shifted to one of slight anger mixed with confusion as I lowered my body, brushing against hers. My lips found the curve of her neck, and I let my tongue glide against her soft skin, tasting the faint sweetness there.
A soft gasp escaped her, her hands tangling in my hair as she pulled me closer. Her breaths came quicker, more ragged, as I trailed my lips over her neck, leaving red marks that stood out like tender signatures.
She shivered slightly under my touch as I drew back just enough to steal a kiss, unexpected and slow, savoring the softness of her lips.
"Now," I whispered against her ear, my voice low and coaxing, "tell me... what's the matter?"
She turned even more red, sighing before pulling me close, my face inches from her soft skin. She cupped my cheeks and whispered, "I wanted you to touch me... Do bad... things to me while I was tied up."
Her words hit me harder than I expected. She said it with such a straight face, but I was lost for words.
"Gosh... you're so naïve, Eren," she chuckled again before kissing me and pulling me into a warm embrace. "K... Kay... I... I'll... Do it... If... if you want... to..." she trailed off, a shy grin appearing on her face.
I could feel the heat rise in my face, not quite sure how to respond. "Ugh..." I muttered. She chuckled again, and I knew exactly what she was thinking.
"Oh, Eren, you're so cute," she teased, and I couldn't help but smile.
I sighed, feeling overwhelmed by how Mikasa had changed, but I loved every bit of it. I leaned in, kissing her gently, pinning her to the soft mattress of the bed, my heart racing.
Squeeze.
"Uh..." I froze, noticing her teasing grin as her hands pressed against my chest. "Mika... What are you doing?" I asked, almost breathless. She looked up at me, her smile playful and shy.
"Ereh... They're so soft..." she whispered.
I clutched her wrists pinning them to the pillow, our faces inches away as I looked her straight in the eyes. I don't know how red I was but I could feel steam rising from my skin.
But then....
I blinked, confused for a moment, as she continued, her voice soft, acting like the victim here, "Eren.. listen... you can have my body, do whatever you want with it... But my heart only belongs to one person... It's my husband... Just saying though... Go for it!"
Her words hit me deep, and I couldn't help but feel a wave of love wash over me. I could see the sincerity in her eyes. Gosh you're so weird Mikasa.
I smiled at her lowered my body onto hers before my lips grazed onto her soft neck. "You're such an idiot..." I whispered against her ears before nibbling onto it, her hand bore deep into my own hair as she kept me close.
"Ereh-chan... Be... gentle... Kay? I... I don't want to do it.... But.... What can a helpless girl like me do against a big, strong man like you... I'll keep quiet now." Her voice was soft and sweet, making me feel a sudden tenderness in my chest. I have gotten used to such things but I just loved it all.
I chuckled and nodded, unsure but trusting," Kay.... Here I come..." I whispered ready to challenge the beast underneath me, however.... just like always I ended up getting dominated by her.... again.... Fuck I hate myself...
