Chapter 2: Cuddling at Living Room
Hendra received a piece of bread that I had smeared with lemon jam. He then directed his attention to me. I noticed how deep the gaze in his brown eyes was, until I smiled.
“The lemon spread will help your piece of bread to have more flavor,” I said, I pointed at the piece of bread that Hendra was holding.
“Asya, you know that I don't really like lemon jam. Why did you give me this flavored jam?” Hendra asked me.
“You'll love it once you try, darling. Try to eat it,” I said, I looked at Hendra's face.
I could clearly see Hendra's lips pursed. It was obvious that his face was not happy when he got bread with lemon jam. I couldn't help but smile, then took a bite of my lemon jam bread.
“Why are you so happy with this bright yellow jam? Just to eat it, I already mind,” Hendra said, he expressed his objection to me.
“The lemon jam was fresh and sweet. It's natural to add a little sourness to the taste, Ndra,” I said, I chewed the bread that was in my mouth deliciously.
I raised an eyebrow when I looked at Hendra. When we looked at each other, I could see Hendra who was forced to finally take a bite of the piece of bread I gave him. The lemon jam in it might make Hendra unhappy.
I breathed a sigh of relief after seeing Hendra finally chew his bread and swallow it. I smiled and took another bite of my bread.
“So, Ndra. What about the taste after you eat it?” I said, I sharpened my attention to Hendra.
“It's sweet, a little sour when I chew it. But after swallowing it the taste becomes normal,” Hendra said, he seemed to be digesting what he had eaten.
“Over time you will get used to it. And finally liked the bread with lemon jam,” I said, I spoke it calmly.
Hendra nodded, although displeasure could still be seen on his face. His lips were still pursed, while his eyebrows were bent flat.
“If it weren't for you, maybe I wouldn't eat this lemon jam bread,” Hendra said, his voice sounding deep when conveying his displeasure.
I just gave a little smile in front of Hendra. But it didn't last long, only temporarily. Now I directed my attention to the bread I was holding. I returned to eating the bread, and chewed it calmly.
When I swallowed my bread, my gaze fell on Hendra. He was currently seen finishing his bread. I took a cup of earl gray tea and then I drank it. How nice it would be to have a cup of tea and a piece of bread on such a sunny morning.
“Are you going to the office today, Ndra?” I asked Hendra.
I put the cup of tea I was holding onto the table. My attention was diverted for a moment, then it returned to Hendra. How the face of the man I love looks like he is thinking about something. I just waited silently for the answer.
“Yes, maybe later. When it was a little mid in the day,” Hendra said, he gave me a slight smile.
“If that's the case, then it's fine if we spend time together for a while,” I said, I went back to eating the little bread I had left.
Hendra directed his gaze at me. Even though we were looking at each other, I could see how Hendra didn't have a smile on his lips.
“Does not matter. I still have plenty of time to be with you today,” Hendra said, he agreed with what I said.
I have finished eating a piece of bread. Now I take a cup of tea to drink. I could see for myself how Hendra was eating his bread. He then drank the glass of water I provided for him.
We both finished breakfast. Now I took a deep breath before standing up to invite him into the house. Right now in my eyes, I can see how Hendra is sitting enjoying the morning weather. I then stood up and touched Hendra's shoulder. Immediately he turned to me.
“Come into my house. I've long missed your love,” I said, I invited Hendra to enter the living room.
Hendra touched my hand, then he kissed it. He nodded, and then stood up. Our hands clasped together, and I invited him to come inside. When we was in the living room, I turned on the light and told him to sit on the long sofa.
I approached Hendra who was sitting on the sofa. I sat on his lap and put my arms around his neck. How I miss the moments alone with Hendra. I could see how his caring face was looking at me.
“Don't you miss me? We always don't have time to romantic moments together,” I said, I lowered my voice in front of Hendra's face.
My fingers explored Hendra's cheeks, while my eyes were focused on Hendra's brown eyes. The reflection in his eyes looked as if he was fixated on me.
“I miss you. These few days I couldn't meet you because I had a lot of business at work,” Hendra said, he then grabbed my fingers which were running on his face.
“Yes, and I miss you. You don't have any feelings for me at all, to the point of ignoring me for more than fourteen days,” I said, trying to count the days that had passed without Hendra's presence.
Hendra just smiled faintly when I told him about the days I had spent without him. His brown eyes were so clear when they looked at me. I was stunned for a while, feeling like my heart was beating subtly.
But it didn't last long we looked at each other, Hendra kissed my lips. I widened my smile when Hendra broke his little kiss.
“The most important thing right now is that I'm here with you,” said Hendra, his voice sounded so deep.
Hendra directed his attention to me. His brown eyes looked so clear that I was sure it was me he was looking at.
