Ashen Dragon

Chapter 330: Friction and Conflict (Part 2)

Singo glanced at the map on his wrist and confidently replied, "No mistake, it's around here. My map has already detected the presence of life signals."

"Whoosh—"

Another gust of wind and sand came rushing forward, making people's faces dry and painfully stinging.

Mantou spat with disdain, spitting out the sand in his mouth with a face full of disgust: "This godforsaken place has nothing but sand. Let's get out of here quickly and stop relying on your magic version of the Gaode map."

Singo put a finger to his lips: "Quiet, let's wait a moment."

Mantou was about to complain but noticed the space in the distance begin to distort, and three Desert Dragon Beasts emerged from the spatial vortex. Their body colors blended perfectly with the desert, and trailing behind them were carts loaded with weapons and armor.

He held his breath instantly, a look of surprise on his face—turns out the previous sand dunes were a mirage created by spell illusion. They had indeed tracked down the supply convoy of the Blue Dragon Sect!

Soon, accompanied by the noisy barking, a group of Kobolds appeared on either side of the Dragon Car, probably twenty or thirty of them. They wore simple animal skins, wielded wooden spears, and carried Wolf Fang Clubs, clearly a group of weaklings.

Mantou was even more excited, "To guard such a weak supply convoy is basically gold delivered right to our doorstep!"

However, the Natural War Maniac, struggling to squat under the Chameleon Cloak, looked a bit dejected. To him, fighting such weak opponents was meaningless and less thrilling than hitting wooden stakes.

Singo, on the other hand, raised his hand solemnly, frowning, "Let's wait a bit longer and not act rashly. There are several extraordinary life signals on my map; the enemy this time isn't so weak."

Suddenly, heavy breathing could be heard in the distance mixed with the crackling of electricity.

Three humanoid figures covered in blue scales slowly came into view. They were tall and sturdy, a full four to five meters high, each holding a Bone Sword in one hand and a Dragon Skull Shield in the other, their heads resembling Blue Dragons.

As they ground their fangs and clashed their Sword Shields, electric sparks shot from their mouths and weapons.

"These creatures look not easy to deal with…"

Observing the monstrous creatures, half-human and half-dragon, Mantou quickly browsed the panel's information.

[Blue Dragon Descendant Godslayer]

Challenge Level: 10-14

Tens of thousands of years ago, Tiamat designed the Blue Dragon Descendant Godslayers to kill Otherworld military and Metal Dragons.

The Blue Dragon Descendant Godslayers know they are the most favored among Tiamat's Evil Dragon Descendants because they were born to dragons and can hear her distant roar in their dreams.

They instinctively know that all Evil Dragon Descendants are children of Tiamat, but they believe that Godslayers are superior to all others.

However, all of Tiamat's Evil Dragon Descendants and Chromatic Dragons remain wary of the Godslayers—after all, their reputation as Dragon Slayers is well known among Tiamat's followers.

"It's said that Imperials from the North have entered the Talilo Desert, and we must be cautious…"

The largest and leading Blue Dragon Descendant Godslayer at the forefront spoke deeply, his voice thunderous and thick, with a crackling of electricity in his throat.

"I have already heard about that, Navi."

Another Blue Dragon Descendant Godslayer said through gritted teeth, "Those damned traitors! I heard the Mother Goddess' anger in my dream. That nation's Emperor dares to openly desecrate the Mother Goddess, truly reckless!"

The last Blue Dragon Descendant's eyes gleamed with ferocity. It clenched its Bone Sword, growling lowly: "By Tiamat above, if I encounter those Imperial people, I will tear them to pieces…"

At that moment, an iron ball was thrown from afar, rolling to the front of the convoy.

The Blue Dragon Descendant Godslayer known as "Navi" first showed a puzzled expression, then glanced around vigilantly, shouting, "Be careful, this might be an enemy trick—"

Before the words could finish, the iron ball exploded suddenly, releasing a dazzling flash bright enough to temporarily blind—this was a special flashbang crafted by the Imperial Arsenal, extremely effective, able to daze even Legendary level warriors for up to three seconds if directly hit.

In an instant, the dozens of Kobolds and three Blue Dragon Descendants all instinctively closed their eyes, contorting in chaos.

And in the distance, four players threw off their Chameleon Cloaks and took off their light-blocking goggles, revealing their presence and eagerly pouncing on the convoy.

"I'll handle the small fry! The rest of you, take on the three big ones!"

Singo drew his Longbow to its full extent and shot a specially shaped arrow, which whistled forward, instantly piercing through the head of a Kobold, making its brain matter splatter and blood spurt wildly.

But as the bloodied arrow pierced through the back of the Kobold's head, the specially crafted arrowhead split into three sharp heads, shooting at three other Kobolds behind it.

"Swoosh! Swoosh swoosh!"

Three more heads were easily penetrated, and the arrowhead continued to split, shooting towards the other Kobolds like scattered petals descending from the heavens.

Relying on just this one Multi-target Arrow, Singo killed more than a dozen Kobolds. As he continuously drew his bow and shot arrows, multiple Multi-target Arrows burst forth, felling the Kobolds like wheat being harvested, soon clearing the area entirely.

Seizing the window of opportunity while the enemies were temporarily blinded, Mantou, Summer Night Autumn Rain, and Natural War Maniac each launched an attack toward the three Blue Dragon Descendants.

In Summer Night Autumn Rain's eyes, red light surged. She extended her finger, channeling all her energy to its tip, and a scorching Pillar of Fire shot out, blasting towards the Blue Dragon Descendant Godslayer's chest.

However, relying on its extremely sharp hearing, the Blue Dragon Descendant Godslayer swiftly dodged, with the Pillar of Fire grazing its shoulder instead, causing no fatal harm.

"Die!"

Natural War Maniac leaped high, reaching a height of over ten meters, and swung the Long-handled Axe fiercely towards the Blue Dragon Descendant's head.

His target was the leader of the three Blue Dragon Descendants, the strongest and oldest, Navi.

As the Long-handled Axe was about to fall, Navi heard the rushing wind. This Blue Dragon Descendant Godslayer, born for battle, instinctively raised the Dragon Skull Shield.

"Boom—"

The Battle Axe crashed down heavily, carrying immense strength as it smashed onto the Dragon Skull Shield, but the Blue Dragon Descendant Godslayer withstood the impact, even repelling the Natural War Maniac.

"Rebels! So, it is you!"

The next moment, Navi opened his eyes, his pupils sparkled with electric sparks. Roaring, he swung his Bone Sword, wrapped in Lightning, with crackling energy, aiming for the head of the Natural War Maniac.

"Good timing!"

The Natural War Maniac laughed heartily, raising his Long-handled Axe to strike upward as a counterattack!

"Clang—"

The sound of clashing metal rang out sharply, the Long-handled Axe meeting the Bone Sword with a resonating clang. Despite the direct impact, the Blue Dragon Descendant Godslayer endured the blow, even sending the Natural War Maniac staggering backward.

"Rebel scum! So, it's you!"

In the next moment, Navi's hands were full of murderous intent as he sneered viciously, his Bone Sword surged with murderous energy, held tightly in both hands, about to strike the paralyzed enemy.

"Is that all you've got?"

The Natural War Maniac bared his teeth in a malicious grin, catching the Bone Sword in his palm with raw power.

"How is that possible?"

"By Tiamat, how did his strength become so terrifying?"

The Blue Dragon Descendant Godslayer raised its head in astonishment, only to see bright red blood dripping down its arm from the point of the Bone Sword being gripped.

However, the Natural War Maniac grinned widely, revealing a particularly ferocious smile: "Now… it's getting interesting!"

The acrid scent of sulfur and gunpowder smoke permeated the battlefield, enveloping the scene. Within the shrouding mist, the figure of the Natural War Maniac rapidly expanded, his form surging, while an ominous presence built up around him. "Fwah!"

His body trembled, dark scales rapidly covered his arms, his eyes gleaming fiercely in the shadows, "Let's see who tears whom apart!"
