B2 | Chapter 45
Ashley
After spending a day resting, I find myself standing in front of a large portal at the top of my Spire. One created personally by Chaos to send me straight to the main Tower of Chaos. Not his personal one but the tower set up by the organization as the headquarters of said organization.
"Are you ready?" Chaos asks as I study the portal itself for a moment.
Yeah.
"There will be officials on the other side to welcome you, including the other two Tower Masters," Chaos explains as I step up towards the portal. "And there's no need to be nervous or anxious as they will treat you like a princess at all times."
I swear I hear him mutter something along the lines of 'or else' after that, but I decide to focus on the portal instead of that.
The portal itself is rather large, spanning a few meters in diameter. And it's black and crimson in color with some hints of purple on the edges of the portal.
Which is to be expected considering Chaos's colors.
Once I finish studying the portal, I finally take a deep breath before stepping straight through it. Following which I appear on a vast platform branching off of some sort of tower with clouds beneath it. And several other towers in the distance.
What stands out the most though isn't the scenery. It's the people.
There are entire rows of people all bowing down to me. Two of them in front of me and to the sides making a long pathway to the tower itself along with two rows of people tracing along the edges of the platform that are kneeling. Almost like they're treating me like some sort of god.
The portal behind me blips out of existence as everyone here shouts, "We welcome Her Highness, Princess Ashley Chaos. Daughter of the great Primordial of Chaos! The Queen of Destruction herself!"
I take a single moment to look around at all the faces before Chaos finally appears in his male humanoid form in front of me. Instantly making quite a few of the people gathered here faint just by his mere presence alone.
One of them even somehow manages to fall off the platform below. But the rest of them all ignore the poor guy.
I wonder if he'll survive that at his level…?
Either way, Chaos gets an even more enthusiastic greeting than me upon his appearance. With even the ones previously bowing before me now dropping to the ground and kneeling before him.
Treating him as a god.
"Fun fact," Chaos suddenly says through our bond, bringing my gaze back towards him again. "Primordials are gods of their concept in a way. We're immune to our own concept yet also bound by it."
Huh.
Interesting. Not that surprising though.
Anyway, I ignore everyone here for a moment to walk over to the edge of the platform. At which point I just look at the surroundings of the Tower of Chaos.
Chaos's own personal Tower, from what he's told me at least, is a physical manifestation of his power as a Primordial. It represents both him and the position of the Primordial of Chaos. So the tower itself is the very definition of Chaos.

There's no single way to climb the tower. To the point that it could take someone thousands of years just to climb it, or it could take them a single step. And the tower itself is filled to the brim with monsters.
Making it the only Tower of a Primordial that has any monsters in it.
Which makes sense considering that monsters are made of chaos energy. And the Tower of Chaos is the place in the universe most filled with the stuff.
That alone actually makes Chaos one of the most feared existences in the universe to everyone else, including the other Primordials. Because he can open the gates to the Tower of Chaos whenever he pleases, releasing the monsters within to ravage the universe.
Including hundreds of Unique Monsters born within the Tower that the System doesn't even know about.
I was rather surprised when he told me all of this not too long ago.
As for these 'Towers of Chaos' scattered across this mountain range? These are both different and similar to his own personal Tower of Chaos.
They are modeled after his tower after all.
I can sense enormous amounts of chaos energy channeled into each of the towers. Making it obvious that the chaos energy inside of the towers isn't natural chaos energy like in the Primordial Tower of Chaos. But they are still filled to the brim with it. And they're designed to be just as confusing as the original.
The only real differences are where the towers are and the fact that the Primordial Tower continues growing in chaos energy over time with no limit while these fake towers have a clear limit and have to be resupplied.
Oh, and these towers have an actual set in stone appearance from the outside.
From what Chaos told me, his Primordial Tower will literally scramble someone's brain just from trying to look at it from the outside. And it only looks like a tower when you're at the top, where Chaos's throne and his tree are.
As for what this tree of his is for? I'm not actually sure. He never mentioned.
But these fake towers of chaos all have the appearance of massive black and crimson towers stretching straight out of the atmosphere of this planet.
And we're currently close to the top of the main tower amongst them.
After looking down for a while, I finally turn my attention back to the people on the platform. All of whom look to be patiently waiting for me without even the slightest bit of impatience on their faces.
Out of curiosity, I identify all of the people here. Only to unsurprisingly find that I can't accurately identify any of their levels.
Not a single one.
All I can see are question marks.
Of course, there isn't even a single Successor amongst them. What with Chaos not having any other Successors besides me.
But most of them all have at least one thousand potential skills in their Skill Trees. Which makes for an impressive lineup.
And the ones lined up in rows have at least three thousand potential skills in their Skill Trees. Even more than Blake.
As for Chaos? Well, the System never identified him in the first place.
♢Primordial of Chaos♢
All it says is his title. Nothing more.
My gaze turns toward the entrance to the tower, where two people are currently stepping out right now. Both of whom look kind of similar to the Tower Master back on Val. What with their appearance being completely mixed between numerous different creatures.
I go ahead and identify both of them, only to find the two of them having the same mishmash names as he has.
♢ Aexaluderami Ranoarnea Eaxrouse – Level XXXXXX (RESTRICTED) Chimera – 6002 Potential Skills – X ♢
♢ Derevilusevai Norateavelle Lariusetra – Level XXXXXX (RESTRICTED) Chimera – 5902 Potential Skills – X ♢
Yeah, there's no way I'm going to remember those names.
But it's clear they're the other two Tower Masters.
Between the two, one is female – the one with the Aexal-whatever name – while the other is male.
I'm rather surprised that all three of the main Tower Masters of the Tower of Chaos organization are the same species though. They're all chimera.
Unless they became that later on in life or something?
Chimera are technically a mix of numerous species after all. So for all I know they could've had some sort of genetic experiments done to them. Or something like that.
"Actually, they found a battlefield my real body was at one day and were contaminated by the chaos energy left behind in the battle, turning them into what they are now," Chaos answers rather awkwardly.
Oh. So it's his fault.
"Why are you thinking that like it's something to be expected…?" Chaos asks in my head, his eyes going wide as he stares at me. But I make sure to avoid his gaze.
No idea what you're talking about.
Anyway, time to meet these other Tower Masters.
