Chapter 55
Chapter 55: The Brave Stranger
“What’s happening here?” Fang Jian questioned firmly as he approached.
A young female staff member, likely in her twenties, was responsible for maintaining order.
“It’s the first time encountering such a situation,” she explained, “Mr. Fang, I informed them that the trampoline area was reserved for a team-building event today, but they refused to listen and forced their way in.”
“Their behavior is unacceptable,” Fang Jian remarked.
“I agree,” she replied, “I can’t understand how their parents raised them.”
Most parents agreed, but some seemed displeased.
Fang Jian glanced at the children and decided to compromise, saying, “Let’s not spoil the children’s fun. Let’s make some space; this area is quite large.”
The space was divided into two sections, with the children from over twenty kindergartens on one side and the adults on the other. The six young people were left with only two trampolines.
Initially, they were content with those two trampolines, but after a while, one grew dissatisfied.
One of them left the trampolines and headed toward the center of the trampoline area.
The trampoline area was a large square with wooden planks and various trampoline shapes. The children enjoyed it a lot.
It appeared that the young man wanted to try different trampolines.
However, when he approached, Fang Jian blocked his path.
“Friend, children are playing ahead. You’re only six people with two trampolines; that should be enough,” Fang Jian said.
The tall teenager in his late teens became angry and cursed, “Who do you think you are, blocking my way?”
Fang Jian smiled slightly but remained on the wooden plank, not moving.
The teenager grew furious and suddenly kicked towards Fang Jian.
Having grown up accustomed to fighting and relying on his family to bail him out of trouble, he showed no mercy when he struck. Li Heng had been closely monitoring the situation and quickly approached. Fang Jian also tried to grab the teenager’s leg. However, before they could react, something unexpected occurred.
A hand swiftly grasped the teenager’s shoulder and forcefully pulled him. The teenager uttered a piercing scream as he was yanked backward and sent flying through the air. An average-sized but exceptionally burly man had appeared behind the teenager, flung him away without hesitation, and he landed heavily on the wooden aisle, not on the trampoline. The impact silenced his screams.
He trembled in pain and couldn’t utter a word. The other five individuals around the same age as him were initially stunned, but then they became furious and rushed together, shouting angrily. However, the burly man showed no fear and charged toward them. After a few punches, all five teenagers were knocked down simultaneously.
Then, the burly man gestured, and three people entered from outside, each carrying one of the six troublemakers, and they carried them away. The entire process flowed smoothly as if it were choreographed, and they didn’t exchange a word with anyone.
Fang Jian, Li Heng, and the parents watched in astonishment, feeling like they were watching a movie. The staff member was wide-eyed, speechless, not knowing how to react. Was this considered kidnapping, or was it an act of heroism?
