Ascending the National Fortune: I Bring Technology from the Future

Chapter 50

Chapter 50: Arrival at the Port Tomorrow

When Fang Jian returned to his home country, exactly fifteen days had elapsed. He received news that the cargo ship from the Little Notebook Country would be arriving at the port tomorrow. After hanging up the phone, Fang Jian went home, and Fang Yiyi immediately rushed over and warmly embraced him.

After playing with his younger sister for a while, Fang Yiyi suddenly asked, “Brother, when is my birthday?”

Fang Jian was slightly surprised and smiled, “Your birthday… should be next month, about a month away.”

“Brother, I want to celebrate my birthday at the Magic Cat Playground. Can we?” Fang Yiyi said in a sweet and childish voice.

Fang Jian blinked a couple of times, somewhat puzzled.

Shi Hui laughed and explained, “In Yiyi’s class, a chubby kid had a birthday party and invited the whole class to the Magic Cat Playground. It was a private theme event and was very lively. So Yiyi has been thinking about it.”

Fang Jian slapped his forehead. He had received an invitation to that chubby kid’s birthday party but missed it because of the two instruments’ incident. Of course, missing someone else’s birthday didn’t bother Fang Jian. However, he absolutely couldn’t miss his own sister’s birthday.

“Alright, Yiyi, it’s just the Magic Cat Playground. Let’s have a private themed event,” Fang Jian thought for a moment and continued, “By the way, don’t you love the children’s channel’s Sister Baihua? How about we invite her to join us for the celebration?”

Sister Baihua was a popular host of a local TV station’s children’s program. Adults might not be familiar with her, but kindergarten and primary school children were certainly not strangers to her.

“Wow, really?” Fang Yiyi exclaimed in excitement.

Fang Jian nodded emphatically and said, “Really.”

“Big brother is so good!” Fang Yiyi happily pounced on him, showing her excitement.

Finally, after much effort, Fang Jian put Fang Yiyi to bed.

Fang Biao whispered, “Son, do you know that Baihua Sister?”

Fang Jian shook his head and said, “I don’t know her.”

Fang Biao almost sprayed a mouthful of old blood and said, “You don’t know her, yet you’re boasting. What will you do if Yiyi is unhappy?!”

Fang Jian laughed and reassured him, “Dad, don’t worry. I should be able to arrange it.”

Although he didn’t know Baihua’s Sister, he had the resources. If the appearance fee was high enough, fulfilling this little wish should not be a problem. Finally, when everyone had gone to sleep, Fang Jian quietly left the house. He didn’t leave through the front door but entered the Space Room and used his spatial abilities to teleport away.

If Fang Jian were to use this ability for criminal activities…

So he could create a perfect locked-room murder case. With a swift movement, he was already clad in advanced biological armor. After triggering the image shockwave, he ascended into the sky.

Practice makes perfect.

By now, Fang Jian had flown countless times, so in his perception, it was no different from driving a car. The biological armor was coated with stealth paint, making it nearly impossible for modern radar to detect him. Thus, Fang Jian flew confidently and smoothly located the cargo ship in the vast ocean, and landed on the deck half an hour later. He scanned the area using the instruments on his biological armor and immediately locked onto the targeted containers.

Inside the container, the previously abandoned devices disappeared without a trace. In their place, Fang Jian had brought “retro machinery” from a thousand years ago.

After completing everything, Fang Jian swiftly left the scene. Back home, Fang Jian took out his phone and called Zhang Liang.

“Ah Liang, I sent you a message,” Fang Jian said in a deep voice. “It’s the shipment number, arriving tomorrow.”

“Ah, tomorrow… arrival?” Zhang Liang asked in surprise.

“Yes,” Fang Jian continued. “I have two things to tell you. Firstly, this stuff is being shipped under the guise of scrap metal.”

“Understood,” Zhang Liang said, taking a deep breath and nodding firmly.

This is a prohibited cargo, according to the Batoan regulations, so it can’t enter the port openly. However, as long as they obtained the goods, they didn’t care about the means of transportation.

“Secondly, these items are quite valuable. It would be best to handle them with care and not treat them as mere scrap metal,” Fang Jian warned.

Zhang Liang’s heart trembled with shock, and he quickly replied, “I will report it immediately. Fang Jian, on behalf of… thank you.”

Fang Jian chuckled and said, “Don’t get sentimental. Just be careful.”

An hour later, a military unit mobilized. Simultaneously, the port entered a state of semi-military control. Meanwhile, in the Dragon Kingdom, several experts from the two largest shipyards hurriedly boarded military aircraft, flying in the same direction.
