Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Erha the Teleporting Beast—A Hundredfold Strengthened Ability!
Among Mutants, abilities are generally classified into five potential levels.
Starting from the weakest:
Level 1 - Epsilon Class.
These Mutants are practically useless. Not only do they often have grotesque, inhuman appearances, but they also lack any real combat capability.
In other words—trash among Mutants.
Level 2 - Delta Class.
This is where Lance's original Rapid Self-Healing ability is ranked.
Mutant abilities at this level usually don't affect appearance, which is a plus.
However, most Delta-level powers lack real combat effectiveness, earning them the title of five scum of Mutants.
Still, they're better off than Epsilon Mutants—at least they look human.
Level 3 - Gamma Class.
Mutants in this tier finally have combat abilities.
But Gamma-level abilities often come with major flaws—either in how the power works or in how it affects the user's body.
They're strong, but unreliable.
Level 4 - Beta Class.
This is where things start to get serious.
Beta-level Mutants form the backbone of their kind, possessing powerful abilities without deforming their appearance.
The only downside? Most Betas can't fully control their powers.
No matter how much they train, some flaws just can't be fixed.
Take Cyclops, for example.
No amount of practice will let him control his optic blasts without external tools.
Level 5 - Alpha Class.
Now we're talking about the elites.
Alpha-level Mutants are the top of the food chain.
Their abilities have no visible flaws, their appearances remain human, and their powers often touch the edges of cosmic laws.
Many Alpha Mutants are considered candidates for the next level—Omega Class.
Omega-level Mutants?
They're rare. Incredibly rare.
All Omegas start as Alphas, but not all Alphas can become Omegas.
What makes Omegas special is their potential—practically limitless.
They're the ones who can rewrite reality and control fundamental forces of the universe.
In the system's terms, Omega-level powers are beyond Level 5.
Their development isn't capped.
If an Omega Mutant has the will and means, they can keep evolving indefinitely.
"Wait… where's Red Devil?"
After checking the system interface, Lance suddenly remembered Erha—the husky he'd just gifted with teleportation.
A pang of worry hit him.
What if the dumb dog teleported into some high-security zone and caused trouble?
Meanwhile—
Inside a furniture store.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
A husky with sparkling blue eyes popped in and out of existence, teleporting around the room like a maniac.
Every time it got bored, it sank its teeth into sofas and desks, chewing like its life depended on it.
Pure chaos.
Lance eventually calmed down.
"Whatever. That dog's probably just messing around somewhere."
Deciding to let Erha enjoy its new toy, Lance focused on testing his own ability.
With a flash, he teleported out of the bedroom.
High above the clouds—
10,000 meters in the air.
"Wooooo!"
The wind roared as Lance screamed in excitement, plummeting toward the earth.
Then—
"Shit, it's freezing!"
He teleported away before hitting the ground, appearing back in his bedroom.
After grabbing warmer clothes, he jumped again.
This time?
He stood atop a pyramid, staring down at the vast desert below.
"Instant travel. No lag—no sense of time passing."
Lance grinned.
Teleportation was incredible.
And thanks to the system's hundredfold enhancement, there were no red smoke trails or popping noises like Azazel's version.
It was silent. Instant. Perfect.
No flaws.
Teleporting all over the globe, Lance stuck to isolated areas to avoid being spotted by satellites or security cameras.
The last thing he wanted was to draw S.H.I.E.L.D.'s attention.
Testing Time.
Lance appeared on a deserted island.
Small, isolated, and untouched by civilization.
Perfect.
"Alright… time for tests."
1. Energy Consumption?
So far, teleportation seemed effortless.
No stamina drain, no cooldown—just instant movement.
2. Range?
He couldn't measure the exact limit yet, but anywhere on Earth was accessible in a blink.
3. Space Travel?
Lance looked up at the sky.
Could he teleport beyond Earth?
Not yet.
He wasn't about to risk it.
No oxygen, radiation exposure, and pressure changes—too many unknowns.
For now, space was off-limits.
"Final Test—weight limit."
Lance cracked his knuckles.
If teleportation could handle heavy loads, it'd be more than just a travel skill.
It'd be a weapon.
A hundredfold strengthened teleportation?
It was time to push it to the limit.
