As a Lucifer in DxD

Third Person PoV

"So Rizevim created a spell to summon himself from the future and that future Rizevim beat you two like this. That's the basic gist of what happened, right?"

Serafall asked Ajuka, who was still pale from the blood loss. He nodded his head.

"But aren't there too many questions now? How did Rizevim get so strong? How did he survive? What was the future Cain doing that he didn't notice the future Rizevim going back in time?"

Scathach asked. Many agreed with her but Ajuka said.

"Those questions will only make sense if the Rizevim we fought was from our timeline. If he was from another? Then all of those questions are redundant, as we don't know anything about that."

Scathach went into deep thought at that but then Falbium asked.

"That's fine, but what if he is from our timeline, we can't ignore that. Even if we are wrong we need to be prepared."

"Indeed. Then our first priority is to make sure he can't use that spell. What about the modified vampires?"

Morgan asked.

"The future self can't be used anymore, I have figured out a way to counter it. I will create a method usable by all. The modified vampires are a bigger problem, it was good that I was the one there, if Zeaira or Cain was there, the destruction would surely warrant every single supernatural being in Europe to act."

Ajuka said, making the others shiver at the thought. A thousand satan class individuals, even not for long, would be terrifying to fight against.

"Then it's good that you were there. Now that we have managed to figure something out. How do we manage Rizevim?"

Zeaira asked, finally back in business after seeing Cain fine.

"We don't have any idea where he is? Except that he is colluding with the Tepes faction."

Ajuka said.

"That's a lead. But the main concern is that if we don't stop him fast he will grow much stronger if our timeline is the one he was summoned from."

Serafall said seriously.

"Yes. But don't we have an even bigger problem than Rizevim?"

Hearing Falbium say that everyone looked at the bed beside Ajuka. On which Cain was lying, his eyes closed, but the stable rise and fall of his chest gave his status away.

Rayla was sitting beside him, holding his hand. While Grayfia was standing beside her.

Cain hadn't woken up till now. Even though all his wounds are fine.

"So why isn't he waking up?" Ajuka asked.

"No idea. His vital signs are fine. His wounds have been healed."

Serafall said. Hearing that Rayla glared at Serafall, but didn't say anything.

"Have you checked his soul?" Zeaira asked.

"Yes. Ajuka has, we can call Ereshkigal and Nyx to be sure."

Serafall said. Hearing that Grayfia quickly called the two, the entire Lucifer clan had already known about this.

In a moment the two goddesses were here.

"Take a look at Cain's soul."

Grayfia said. The two goddesses were quick in their diagnosis and revealed what they had seen.

"It's fine. His soul is completely fine."

Ereshkigal said.

"I can't see any problems, even if it was concealed I would have seen it."

Nyx gave her answer. Now everyone was confused. At that, Ereshkigal said meekly.

"Maybe he was affected by his loss? I mean he hasn't lost till now, has he? Some kind of mental problem?"

Everyone looked at her in surprise, and Scathach said.

"It is true that he hadn't lost once in his life but, if his mindset was weak enough to be destroyed by one defeat, he wouldn't be so strong."

"Yeah, he isn't the one to be demotivated, he demotivates others."

Ajuka said that. Everyone agreed at that and then Zeaira said.

"He isn't like that. Even if he loses he will come back stronger."

"Yeah, I still remember how badly I had been fooled by him when I first met him. Hell would freeze over before he gave up."

Rayla added. And at last, Grayfia said.

"My Lord isn't one to be defeated so easily. You are forgetting one thing. If the future Rizevim was from our timeline, then that means he was weaker than My Lord, so he came back to fight him in the past. This shows that instead of getting weaker, My Lord became stronger."

"Even so, couldn't the future Rizevim have put some kind of mental block on him, during the fight?"

Serafall asked. At that, everyone went silent. And then Ajuka said,

"I will see what I can do."

And activated numerous magic circles. But just as he tried to reach Cain's mind, he was repelled back.

"Serafall is correct, there is indeed a mind block. But my proficiency in the matters of the mind isn't great. We would need someone much better."

Ajhka said dejectedly. At that Falbium said.

"We have one of the strongest mind masters with us, do we not?"

"I will go and bring Mother back."

Zeaira said and teleported back to the Lucifer castle, to bring Lilith with her.

It took fifteen minutes before Zeaira returned with Lillith. Lilith was looking haggard.

Her cheeks were stained with tears marks, her eyes were red due to her crying. She immediately ran to Cain, seeing him, and began to use her abilities to free him of his mind block.

But even she was repelled. She was able to hold on longer than Ajuka but didn't manage to break the mind block.

"Lady Lilith, even you can't break it?"

Ajuka said. Lilith made a rueful smile, full of despair and she said.

"I doubt anyone would be able to."

Hearing that Rayla asked.

"What do you mean?"

"It's not Rizevim who had put the mind block. Then whose signature did you recognize? We can track the one responsible immediately."

Zeaira said.

"I don't think we could. I can recognize that signature in my sleep. It's Yahweh. I also sensed Cain and Lucifer inside the mind block, I was about to say something but was pushed out."

Hearing that everyone in the room was shocked. At first, it was silence then chaos broke out.

"What should we do?"

"Should we ask heaven for help?"

"How did this happen?"

"Will Cain be fine?"

"How did Yahweh put a mind block, isn't he dead?"

"How is the original Lucifer there, he is dead too!"

Seeing the chaos, Ajuka said seriously.

"CALM DOWN!" And he flared his aura making everyone silent.

"We can't ask heaven, if the problem leaks out it would be big trouble. Cain has to break out on his own. Lucifer should be there due to the bloodline, and Yahweh must have put a failsafe in the Lucifer bloodline too. What we can do is make sure everything is fine, until Cain comes back. Have trust in him, he will be back!"

Just as Zeaira went to fetch Lilith, inside Cain's mind.

Cain walked into the arena of his castle. His mind was a perfect replica of Hell, it was also made to scale, so it was huge.

"Hmmm, why am I here?"

Cain mused, the last thing he remembered was Rizevim fading as Ajuka was hacked in two, almost that is.

"He should be fine. Now how do I get out of here?"

"I am afraid you won't be getting out of here."

A voice full of wisdom rang from above. Cain turned his head and found a blob of light saying.

"This is your mind, child. And it shall be your grave."

The blob of light spoke as if he was dictating a fact. Cain looked at it for a moment and then said.

"You are the voice that talked to me when I transformed into a super devil for the first time right?"

"Indeed. You have a good memory."

"Yeah, I do, so what pleasure do I have to have you here, Yahweh?"

"Why call me that?"

"What else am I supposed to do? Big G, Heavenly Father?"

"Grandfather."

Hearing that Cain looked at the blob for a while before saying.

"You did not just say that. I don't even know my own father, and you expect me to call you Grandfather?"

The blob sighed and said. "It's fine."

"So why have you trapped me here?" Cain asked.

"You are now strong enough to reach the levels of being like me, the Supreme Gods. Being like us change the very balance of the world once we are born. As such my duty is to stop you from achieving that level of strength."

"What if I deny?"

"Then this shall become your grave."

"You said that at first, didn't you already know what my answer was going to be?"

"Yes, but I hoped you would be deterred, alas it was not meant to be."

"Yeah, so what's going to fight me, now. You?"

"No, I am above such barbaric activities. But my failsafe isn't."

"You have a failsafe? In the Heavens system?"

"Yes, it is my son, who shall be your reaper! It really is a pity, you weren't supposed to exist, only your brother was. You were to die in your mother's womb, if that had come to pass, I would have been spared the pain of condemning my own grandson to death."

"Spare me the sob story, so which son is it? There are quite a few to name."

Cain said impatiently but remembered the words told by Yahweh.

"Who else could it be, but your father, The Light bringer, Lucifer Morningstar!"

With his words, a being made up of light descended in Cain's mind. The light was familiar to Cain; he had once been attacked by it after all.

And it was eerily similar to Darklight as well. The light dimmed and a man was seen.

"Hey, he should be stronger than me currently if he is in his prime, right?"

"Indeed, you understand your dilemma well. You can still fall back, you are strong enough, my child!"

The blob said, but Cain ignored it and looked at the face of the man.

His face was perfect, his wings were perfect, and everything was perfect. He was perfectly balanced in all things, just like all things should be.

But his eyes instead of being dull for a failsafe code, were full of intelligence and it spoke.

"Father, as always you underestimate me. What made you think that your failsafe which was created in my image would be safe from me?"

And pushed the blob of light out of Cain's mind, back to wherever it came from. He opened his palm and a spear appeared in his hands.

A spear Cain knew very well about, The True Longinus.

"So my dear son, although it is our first meeting, and I find it annoying that I have to kill you, but still don't think too badly of me. I shall take care of Lilith after this!"

"So even though you have infected the failsafe you still can't override the commands of Yahweh?"

"Indeed. But if the command is fulfilled he can't command again quickly, and in that short time I shall escape, and give myself enough time to gain autonomy."

"Hmm, smart. But anyway. Shall we, Father?"

Cain said with a snark in his voice. He also owned his palm and the scythe appeared, its appearance shocked Lucifer but he said.

"Ah, this is your mind, you can control it with ease, regardless, it won't make much of a difference."

"We shall see about that, Father."

Cain said and the two rushed at each other, thirsty for each other's blood.

"Michael, what was that about?"

Raphael asked his brother who was busy handling the error that was happening all across the Heavens system.

"I don't know, the entire system is glitching at once!"

At that moment Uriel and Raphael arrived in the Seventh Heaven, looking worried. They didn't say anything but stood behind Raphael.

"Call all the angels back, and tell the Vatican to cease all of its activities. Decree all the associations to stand by!"

Michael ordered his brothers and sisters, with a serious face.
