Art of Creation [Eco-Cultivation Prototype]

Announcement

Hello everyone,

Thank you so much to those who have followed Art of Creation on RoyalRoad — and a special thanks to everyone who left a comment on the latest chapter. Your support means the world to me.

I'm happy to share that Art of Creation has officially completed its second volume. I've already begun writing Volume Three, which is currently being serialized on my Patreon. While I hadn't planned to pause the story, I've realized that I need to take a short break to rest and recharge before continuing.

That said, I'm not stepping away from writing — just shifting gears for a while. My focus is now on a new project: Cycle of Soil, a novel I'm incredibly excited about. I'm aiming to upload over 30 chapters ahead on Patreon.

As such, updates for Art of Creation will be on hold for a few weeks, possibly up to a month.

🌱 About Cycle of Soil

If you're interested in being a beta reader, I'd love your feedback — suggestions, criticism, anything that can help improve the story. Just send me a message here on RoyalRoad. Right now, I've written about 20 chapters, and early readers will get access to the first 30 once they're ready.

Cycle of Soil shares thematic roots with Art of Creation, especially in its exploration of gardening and the spiritual harmony between spiritual plants. However, this new story builds on a stronger foundation — one shaped by my growth as a writer and the lessons I learned from my first novel.

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

🌿 Looking Back, Looking Forward

Art of Creation was my first real foray into writing — a deeply experimental work where the story felt like a puzzle I was solving in real time. Volume Two, in particular, drew heavily from unpolished concepts. But now, with more experience and clarity, I'm channeling those ideas into something more cohesive in Cycle of Soil.

This time, the protagonist is more active and self-aware. Unlike Devor, who was often reactive to the world around him (a deliberate narrative choice, especially by the end of Volume Two), the new lead will carve out his path with intention and conviction.

Cycle of Soil will also delve deeper into political and social dynamics — themes I've wanted to explore in greater depth. I'm aiming for a more intricate, layered narrative that still stays grounded in personal growth and introspection.

One key lesson I've taken to heart: around Chapter 20 of Art of Creation, the story took a turn that didn't feel natural — it disrupted the tone and flow. I won't make that same mistake again. I feel far more confident in the direction and vision of this new work.

🌾 A Slow Burn, Rooted in Philosophy

Like Art of Creation, this novel embraces a slow burn approach — prioritizing character development through inner conflict, experimentation, and discovery, rather than relying heavily on tropes like arrogant young masters or overwhelming societal pressure. Those elements may still appear, but they won't define the character's journey.

Lately, my writing has been leaning more into the philosophical, and that's something you'll definitely see reflected in Cycle of Soil.

If you have any questions about the new novel, feel free to ask in the comments — I'll do my best to respond. And if you'd like to be a beta reader, just message me on RoyalRoad and I'll send you the link to the chapters.

Thank you all again for your support — and my apologies for the sudden announcement.
