Chapter 1779  The First Battle

Tang Shaoyang kept the corpse in his inventory and rubbed his chin, thinking about how strong the void creature was compared to the God Rank. From what he knew, the other administrators dreaded the void creature. This could mean the void creature was on the same level as the God Rank, or people were afraid of the void poison.

He was trying to calculate the worth of the void creature for sacrifice to the God Rank. These creatures would be his asset to create an army of Archaic Spirit.

"How are you doing it!?" Commander Edson grabbed shoulders and questioned.

"What?" Tang Shaoyang asked in confusion. He talked about the body of the void creature or something else? Unsure of the question.

"How are you bringing the void creature here!?" Edson pressed further.

"Ah, I have my way, but please take your hand off me, Commander. You are holding it so hard that I might think this is an interrogation." It was a pain, but he could feel that the grip was getting stronger. He did not know what was the big deal about taking a void creature onto the wall. He did not mind telling the commander how he got the void creature, but he did not like the way he did it.

Edson went with "Ah" and released his grip on Tang Shaoyang, taking a few steps back with an apologetic look.

"I have one of my spirits to kidnap one of them to confirm our mission." He sent one of his shadow spirits once he saw a void creature coming out from the Void Gate.

"A spirit?" Edson muttered in a low voice, trying to figure out what the young administrator was talking about. The first thing that came to mind was a being made of energy, it was called a spirit. But the term of spirit could be translated into many things, a dead spirit was one of them.

"I am not going to explain anything about my class or ability, commander. You will figure it out eventually, but I am not going to tell you more than this."

Tang Shaoyang walked past Commander Edson. The plan was to use the Spirit Fusion, but he was not going to do it in front of Commander Edson. He would be doing it when no one was near, it was when they got more freedom.

Edson let out a chuckle and realized doing something stupid. He stood next to Tang Shaoyang. "We will split the group in two, a vanguard who will confront the wave directly at the bottom and a support group with ranged attack. If you are a mage or archer, then you will stay on the wall. Your duty is to support the vanguard and also snipe the strong void creature. However, prioritize to support the vanguard and make sure that none of us get surrounded by the void creatures."

"What if the void creature goes past the wall? You ignore them. The second defense line will take care of them. Understand?"

He was relieved that the administrators were willing to cooperate, none of them arrogant, and tried to act on their own. But he was too early to think all administrators were willing to cooperate. He suddenly felt a burst of energy, and it came right from next to him. The strong aura burst out and saw Tang Shaoyang was already in the bloodline transformation. As he guessed, the young administrator had a dragon bloodline, a strong one at that. He never saw this kind of dragon transformation in his life.

"You listen to Commander Edson. Get used to the void creature first, and then we will do things as we planned after this wave. I am going to get as many as possible from the first wave."

Commander Edson furrowed his brow, confused for a moment after listening to the young administrator. The young administrator spoke as if he was not part of the team, and the young administrator turned toward him, smiling, "I will leave them in your hand, Commander Edson. They are quite strong, so you can trust them."

Right after that, a burst of wind hit his face as the young administrator disappeared from his sight. He saw the figure getting smaller, going straight to the void gate.

"RETURN INSTANTLY, TANG SHAOYANG!" Commander Edson shouted, but of course, it was ineffective. The small figure got smaller, going straight toward the void creature horde.

"Don't worry, Commander. Our captain is an army on his own, and he has his own fighting style. Even if he is in danger, he can teleport to safety." Ira tried to calm Commander Edson.

"Yes, and we better get prepared for our formation, Commander Edson. While our captain is on a whole different level than us, we are far weaker than him. In fact, this is the first experience of the majority of us." Khaya also tried to divert Commander Edson's attention to them.

"I will have a word with your captain if he ever returns alive." Edson was annoyed.

Tang Shaoyang heard Edson's angry voice, but he ignored him. He knew in fact that Edson would stop him from going like this. That was why he did not say anything and left on his own. Then he summoned all spirits, all of them. He did not use [Spirit Integration], thinking that it was not unnecessary unless a void creature at the same level as Commander Edson appeared.

As soon as the Skelly Family and the Spirits met, they became confrontational, telling each other about their portion of the enemy. They could not settle who would take the right wing and the left wing, and it ended with a bet. The loser would address the winner with "Daddy" until their next bet.
