Siegfried walked through the streets of Shiganshina with his team by his side as Civilians flocked on the side watching them with awe and respect.

Among the crowd Siegfried spotted a familiar set of faces making him form an involuntary smile on his face.

Siegfried nodded towards Erwin and Levi as he recieved a wink from Hange making him smile.

He walked towards Carla who was waiting with the kids , an excited Eren and a silent Mikasa ... although she seemed to have a sparkle in her eyes.

Siegfried could see the relief on Carla's face annd he also felt a bit happy but he was a bit disappointed that Grisha wasn't around.

" Let's go ~ " Siegfried said with a smile as he took Eren and Mikasa's hands as he walked forward leaving behind a Carla who gazed at him in a daze before quickly snapping out of it , and with shake of her head and a resigned smile as she followed behind him.

A gentle smile formed on her face as she listened to Eren's endless chattre and Mikasa who seemed to say a few words from time to time...

*Knock*

Siegfried heard a knock on his door and he was a bit suprised as he wondered who would it be at this hour.

'Carla?' Siegfried wondered as he got up to go answer the door....

" Grisha! " Siegfried was surprised as he saw his friend standing in front of his door with a cloak wrapped around him like he was trying to hide.

" H-Hey.." Grisha greeted Siegfried quickly before getting inside and Siegfried could already feel something was wrong as he quickly closed the door gently.

Sieg turned around and he was met with the pale face of Grisha who was shaking a bit while pouring himself a glass of water.

Sieg was a bit concerned as he saw Girisha like this , he could see that Grisha was in pain and it was not physical but mental.

So he decided to wait to give Grisha a moment to gather his bearings as he wouldn't come to him if he didn't have anything to do with him.

" S-Sieg ...." Grisha opened his mouth with trembling lips as he started to tell Siegfried about the purpose of his visit.

Siegfried would have never imagined the gravity of the revelations....

Siegfried pinched his eyebrows with a heavy expression on his face as Grisha sat opposite him with a haggard face while clutching his head in his hands.

" I-I killed them all S-Sieg.... *Hic* E-Even the children! I crushed them like they were just insects " Grisha said in a trembling tone as he sobbed.

Sieg opened his lips but quickly closed it shortly after as he didn't know what to say , he didn't know what was right or what was wrong.

Siegfried's mind was filled with the bomb that Grisha dropped on him. Marley , Eldia, Titans , the Walls , King Fritz , the truth about everything.

Siegfried's jaw tightened as he thought about the Royal families stance on the matter regarding Eldia , their high and mighty attitude irked him.

He was furious when he thought about their attitude of making the new generation pay for their ancestors sins.

What gave the Royal family the right to do that , for once Siegfried felt that the slaughter committed by someone wasn't uncalled for.

He felt a bit pity for the children but just like how Frieda Reiss could sentence the children outside the walls to death this was just like that.

That woman Frieda Reiss had just sentenced the people of Wall Maria to death due to the so called sins of their ancestors all the while she and her family would cozily sit inside the inner walls... How noble of her...

" You did nothing wrong .." Siegfried said seriously as he placed his hand on Grisha's trembling shoulder.

Siegfried's heart was filled with disgust for the Royal family.

The words of the First King of the walls and the Royal family sounded nice and flowery but if they were so guilty then why didn't these assholes just let themselves be killed because in the end they are the ones closely related to their ancestors crimes.

Oh... The newer generation doesn't have anything to do with the older one ?

Just let the common plebians die for the crimes your Royal Family committed ! Right?

Siegfried tightened his jaw as he thought about the bad premonition he had been having recently....

" Snap out of it ! You did nothing wrong " Siegfried slapped Grisha then pulled him into a tight hug as he could feel the man's pain.

" S-Sieg? " Grisha was surprised as his eyes teared up under Siegfried's warm hug.

" It was either them or your family ... I would have done the same thing ..... " Siegfried said in a low tone as he could feel Grisha tremble , Siegfried hadn't lied if he was in Grisha's position and had to choose between a filthy noble family or his own family then he would gladly commit the slaughter.

He had all but ran out of kindness and pity .... It happens when the world fucks you over a million times...

Frieda Reiss and her family deserved to be crushed like pancakes 🥞 , she told Grisha that Eldians should let the world take their anger out on them then why didn't the bitch let her family also bear the anger , so the children of Wall Maria can die huh... Good to know.....
